I get it but that's not really applicable in this, in life in order for you to get certain things, be it opportunities or whatever you need to talk to people (strangers). There is a difference between talking and socializing in terms of trusting them with important informations. Even on the forum it is important that you keep your informations privately. Talking to people or socializing is different from texting people you barely know about a business, this is something that could lead to a lot of problems or complications, it is better to relate with people that you know in person to do business with than sending PM's to random people you don't know.

Some people can't control their mouth, after they open it, so I think in this case it is advisable to stay quiet and ignore them. Sometimes, in the means of having conversation you must have tell the stranger what he wanted to know, you will just vomit everything, thinking its nothing and the person will have clue. Small conversations can convey great messages. Someone might PM with the intention of manipulating, cheating, or scamming you, it is hard to place your trust on others this days, so expecially newbies like me, you need to be extremely careful who YOU Send PM to, and also who's PM You respond to, for safety purpose.

I really do appreciate the words of cryptoaddictchie. But the point here is that here are all strangers and if we somehow manage to meet someone in our relation , they would still behave like a stranger . And there are some things that newbies fear of , if they won't ask from strangers in this forum I don't think that the newbies would be able to fix that all by theirself.

As an adult you should be able to fact check and analyze somethings, not because someone offers a business deal and the person is in the forum doesn't mean that you should jump right into it, this is where a lot of people are having it all wrong. Anyone can be a scammer, this is the reason why you shouldn't be too sure of anyone that you are not really familiar with. This is a reputable avenue or space that's true but you must also be very careful as well so you don't get defrauded. Personally, I don't even discuss business with people that I'm not seeing physically or have an idea of who they are or what they look like.

Realistically, when you get a message from someone you don't know on a forum and have never communicated with them, that should be your first red flag.
Why would someone, out of thousands of forum members, send you a financial offer? Serious companies don't do that.
Then, if the business venture is so good, why does anyone even need your money? That's the second red flag. If a business needs money from new investors to survive, then it's a Ponzi scheme.
Finally, who is behind that business. Are the names of the founders, directors, company registration information, etc. known? That's the third red flag.
In short, if you're looking for a real financial opportunity, do your research and find it yourself, and don't expect it to "fall from the sky" from some anonymous benefactor on an online forum. Such things don't happen in the real world.

Moreover, in the digital era scammers can easily disguise themselves in this forum and this also applies to other social media. So, to avoid fraud being cautious remains the key.

This is also why everyone should have basic knowledge when dealing with finances because with basic knowledge the ability to fact-check and analyze any offer will make it easier to detect if it's a scam. Besides that, even if we are on this forum especially if they send a PM we shouldn't just trust it. It's better to avoid any transactions with parties that haven’t built communication yet. With a firm approach like this the risk of fraud can be well avoided.

Of course, all people are strangers if we don't know them well. However, there are some members trustable because of their reputation in this forum. So, you can trust them more over other members. You can check the trust point of each member, there must be some members who have positive and negative trust. You must avoid to communicate to the members who have negative trust, especially if it is about something private or business.

Well, it doesn't mean that you totally don't talk to other members. It just ensures that you talk to trusted members in this forum. And you also need to keep attention to anything that you share to others, you never share about the privacy matter and you don't do a business with untrusted members.

Newbies should clearly remember that if someone wants to talk about investment through personal messages or shares any such link, then they should always be ignored. Only fraudsters do such things, because I will never tell any new member from my place to send a message that you invest or I am sharing a link with you and you enter through this link and do your work, because it is not my job, but if someone wants to know about investment through personal messages, then of course I can help him in that regard to the best of my ability.

With the changing times, fraudsters are trying to cheat in new ways. It may happen that an old member is giving such messages to new members and trying to trap them, so one should always be wary of such fraudsters.

Of course, all people are strangers if we don't know them well. However, there are some members trustable because of their reputation in this forum. So, you can trust them more over other members. Agree, just avoid it if it looks "too sweet to be true". There are too many cases that promised too sweet profits but it just ended up to be scam cases. We must learn from every bad experience in the past.

I saw a thread some weeks ago where someone was complaining, that he received a message about investment from someone in this forum.
Most of this old members that are messaging newbies in other to scam them has already been given negative feedback by DT members in this forum, so when you see a PM from old forum members, what you should do is to check their feedback and from there feedback you will know the kind of person they are.
But I will advise, regardless of their feedback tell them to make it public or forget about it.

And for the DT members if you are giving trust to someone, make sure the member is trustworthy because if they are involved in scamming newbies here, and the newbie says he believed the member was trustworthy because of the trust you gave the member, you too will be held accountable to some extent.

Is never easy to identify who's real with his or her words on the forum, everyone has what brings them to this place and weather they have the highest number of trust from the DT members it still doesn't tell the true intention of the person or member as the case may be. The best thing is to follow your mind because the way and manner at which scammers are building up words to convince people is becoming too much, many people will fall, doesn't matter if we're seeing a newbie or legendary displaying on their rank is hard to tell who's good or bad. I think the DT members don't have much to do on this because anybody can act like a good guy and when the trust is earned they choose to strike and cause the damage they have planned without minding the consequences after all if an account is prohibited from coming online they can still open another and continue their evil act, instead of doing business with anybody you don't know facially is best to not try at all, the risk of doing anything especially concerning money is too high.

A reputable member of this forum that has integrity wouldn't pm you for a business deal that they haven't made public yet. If anyone has any investment that's profitable they don't have to pm you about it, all they need to do is post about it and those that are interested would send them a message. Well said. Online is filled with a lot of scammers, who might even impersonate our loved ones just to get our attention. That is why one has to be extra careful and verify everything properly, in order for one to stay on the safer side, because any step taken without proper research can put one at risk. I don’t know if I am the only one that don’t trust anyone that pm me first and want to help me or want to introduce me to an investment or something that will help me to gain profit, as a newbie, you should be very smart and believe that there is no way of making fast money or profit in crypto, if you are desperate to make fast profits, ot will be so easy for people to scam you, no one have ever pm me in this forum and I don’t think i will reply to any message that related to investment that i will send a person money or something for helping me, there are many members and threads that i will know many things about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, so as a newbie or beginner, know what you are doing.

This type of fraud may be attempted by creating a new account, but users should also be aware that no trusted site or person for work or investment will ever send personal messages to another person. Those who do this kind of work definitely have the intention of defrauding, so when someone receives such a link or such a message from another member, they should immediately avoid it.

The old members can just a create a thread to promote their business instead going around DMing people anyhow . It's very hard to work with someone in this kind of anonymous forum, because you don't actually know who is behind that account. Trusting a random stranger when money is involved is hard for me to do.  Creating a public thread will allow multiple people to ask questions, give their own reviews and share their experiences. Anyone that wants to now do business with the old members will now have to read multiple post and feedback in order to trust the the person. We just have to be careful, seeing old account DMing you with lots of activities and merits doesn't mean they are genuine, some of those accounts could even be hack and then used for scams.

Why is it that when one spot someone to be beginner at something, the first thing that come to their mind is to lecture them and at that point, you can choose to either mislead them or tell them the actual information. Everything happens for a reason. I know you'd keep sounding it as warning to these newbies but most of them are just ignorant, they wouldn't even listen until they fall victim.

It is because newbies are very vulnerable because of their limited knowledge. They believe that since the newbies are still new, they can be easily misled. I got lots of PMs as a newbie but I'm not getting such PMs now. Newbies will always be newbies and whatever experience they encounter will form part of the lessons they'll learn from to grow This forum has made things easier for newbies,  they don't need to make such mistakes themselves, they learn from experienced forum people here.

I think that in fact most newbie members are not real newbie members but just have such a rank.
Some were already members on this forum and some were members on other online forums and understand the forum rules very well and what is allowed and what is not.
After all, no one will ask random passersby for money or some other personal favor on the street, so it is normal that you will not do that with strangers on the Internet.
These are things that we all know even without reading the forum rules and are called common sense.
We can be newbies about crypto things that are new or unknown to us, but not about the basic rules of good behavior and respect for others.

Well said. Online is filled with a lot of scammers, who might even impersonate our loved ones just to get our attention. That is why one has to be extra careful and verify everything properly, in order for one to stay on the safer side, because any step taken without proper research can put one at risk. One has to be cautious, because it helps prevent harm and disappointment. So one has to adhere to these principles and stick for their own safety.

This scammers get so innovative by the day. In many cases the don't just impersonate the go as far as stealing information of this persons we know and trust and then use those information to lure us into believing their approaches. The online space is excessively brutal for novices or vulnerable people who fall for anything offered to them mostly when it appears extremely enticing.
