Even though I don't gamble for profits, I still voted for the loss because I know that in the overall history of my gambling, I'm definitely at loss because I have never won anything significant from gambling, and I've mostly lost money most of the times when I gambled. I don't worry about it because I don't gamble with amounts that I can't afford to lose, which means that if I gamble, I gamble with only 5% of what I earn or something like that. If I win, I enjoy myself with a part of the winnings, and maybe keep a portion for the next session so that I don't need to spend anything, and if I lose, I just wait for the next payroll so that I can gamble again if I want to.

This approach allows me to stay in control and stay patient, I never take unnecessary risks with the hope that I might win a life-changing amount from gambling because I know how gambling works, and I don't want to lose money that I can't afford to lose and then start chasing my losses and then lose more and then lose everything I have in gambling. Your life becomes hell when you do something like that, ask people who are addicted to gambling, ask them how much they have lost and what they go through every day. It's a curse, and we should stay as far away from it as possible.

It is evident that there are always some short time wins for many individuals but as time goes on the winnings go out of stock for the gamblers and the house take the huge chucks of wins, you can never get more than the house because the system is designed that way and which is why as time goes by, only few people stay in profits over a ling period of time.

Everyone experienced losses in gambling, and that's normal since gambling is not a source of free money, its a business so it should be the one to make gains, not the other people around.

And as for us, gamblers, we don't have to chase those losses because that will only lead to a more risky part. If we can enjoy gambling while we are losing, then so be it.  We are here to enjoy and gain some entertainment from gambling, not to count those losses because it will only give us stress and headache and we don't want that to happen for us.

This type of question will need ratio  that, is the ratio of gambler's who are actually winning and is making profit and those who are losing. The truth is that there are actually people who are making profits. I will describe these sets of gambler's as the lucky once who were fortunate enough to hit the jackpot and were lucky. These set of gambler's are not even up to one percent of the gambling community because it's not easy to beat the Casino, so any who finds himself in this category should be seen as lucky.


Apart from this lucky group I have mentioned, the rest 99.9% of gambler's are actually on the losing end, what you have to know is that, gambling is programmed in such a way that the gamblers are the once keeping it running so only a few people will win so that, the money coming from the greater percentage of people who loses are the Once the Casino uses in to pay the rest of the lucky winners.

The more you gamble the more you know how much you have loss. That will determine if you are a winner or a loser. Right now, I dont know if i am a loser or a winner because I don't gamble all the time. For me to know which side i belong, i will have to return to the platform, scrolling through pages to know my stand. 80% of gamblers can be considered to be losers.

From my own view, despite people not keeping records of their gambling history, I have come to understand that most gamblers are losers, yes. As a gambler that is not just gambling for entertainment or fun but money-based, go back and calculate your history. Before that win, how much had you lost? Some people do not care how much has gone out before they win one game. Another thing that made me say so is no one continues a business where there's less profit; if the loss isn't more, the casino would have stopped because they might not make a good profit.

I am about to say that I am loser if I am going to calculate all of my bets. But if I'll count maybe from a month or few weeks ago, I am in break even. Because of the good winning streaks that I have got last week, I was able to catch up with the losses that I've made and so, that made me neutral as of now. What I want to do is to make some profit still but, it's hard to do it with sports betting even when I am applying my best analysis per game. I just can't expect that all of my bets to win but that's the thrill there that I am enjoying.

We can't really conclude that everyone is a loser through gambling. Just like you said later, some people still make profit out of gambling while some neither lose or gain. Although, gambling favours only few people but if you are among those few people then you could count yourself to make profit on gambling. As for me, I stand neutral as I neither make profit nor loses most times at the end of the season and this as helped me alot to take gambling as a fun since I don't have anything to lose rather than my time which I do use in making predictions.

I can see that majority voted for fun, but the truth is that even if you believe that betting is for fun and you don’t count losses,I don’t think if anyone is on  a losing streak,will be happy tho , are they still going to consider that they gamble for fun?  they are people who hasn’t won a game for almost a year and more, and you still consider that for fun , I think fun is just a general way of analyzing it , everyone here sees themselves as losers when it come to gambling, you see gambling is a game of heart , if you don’t have mind trust me you can’t bet, imagine losing all the time and maybe you are fortunate to win one day and you called all your losses ist for fun, even those little money that you can afford to lose , will at some point hurt you , it’s not as easy as it is been said .

Since most of us say that we're losing, then it is enough to say that casinos are winners. Should we still gamble? Don't get me wrong…if we are here for money, then definitely we just fail. In this case, leave gambling and stop pretending that we're okay when we're still suffering. But if we are here to make fun, then we are winning because we get what we looked for.

We just accept the fact that gambling has made us lose? If we don't understand that, it means that we're not gamblers. But why are we still doing this despite those things? Because we're not doing this for money, but for pleasure.

I'm not very sure of statistics of my gambling, but from head count, I'll agree to having a net loss. Most gamblers are losing already, but the loses aren't much of a problem for those gambling with what they can afford to loose. It's no big deal, every gambler should accept lots as part of the game and move on despite the results. Discipline also helps us not get into such losses that would affect our bankroll badly.

Well, I think majority are in losing side since gambling is more on luck.
Currently I rarely gamble due to my busy schedule but when I have free time, I still play.
If I track my past history, I can say i'm a loser indeed. It's hard to win so I only use a spare money to satisfy myself.

If I also consider how much I have won, I can confidently tell you that I am at loss at this point. Though, that is not a problem because I know that any money I assign to gambling is gone since it's a consumable activity.

I believe gambling takes more from us that it gives.

Even though I don't follow it closely, I know I'm on the losing side. I have a fixed monthly budget, and if I win that month, I use the money for entertainment or other needs, not gambling. I don't think anyone is on the winning side for a long time; that's a fact. There might be occasional winning streaks, that's all.

The vast majority of those who play gambling games regularly will soon find themselves losing the game assuming they keep a score of their performance. Casinos and gambling websites are built in such a way that they are structurally biased, in the long-run, the system will be biased towards the house than the players. Winning streaks do occur now and then, and they may make one excited but they are seldom permanent. The more important one is the method you have suggested, to make gambling a form of entertainment and to allocate yourself a set amount of money, which you can afford to lose. As soon as individuals consider gambling as a paid entertainments and not a source of income, it becomes a lot easier to escape severe financial issues.

I’m in deficit due to loses that mainly I recorded during my newbie days which I’m reckless on gambling.

But if I will exclude my newbie years of gambling I believe I’m in profit since I do win big most of the time compared to the amount of my losses.

I’m playing blackjack most of the time that gives me low house edge on the game.

I don't have to refer to my self as loser even if as of today and since I began gambling, I have lost way more than I've won in total, but that isn't a good enough reason to declare my self as a loser because for someone, nature has a way of making them become exactly what they imagine or conclude their self as..

There is a common saying in my language which if converted to English states that, "a person who calls his or her basket a Dustin, people will pack even their own dirt and pour inside the basket", what this simply mean is that what you take yourself as, is what people and maybe even nature will take you as..
So I am not a loser in gambling, regardless of the fact that I've not actually made profit from this gambling of thing, Both in times I do it for fun and in times I play to make some profit.

I consider myself a winner. I finished 2025 with a profit of around 400 euros (that's a laughable figure), but I'm not a loser if we look at it that way.

IMO any profit is good in gambling, plus FWIW £400 is significant amount in my country.

Just as you said and which you are right about it, in gambling most people are to be considered lose, because of the mindset they are have towards gambling, which they want to become rich through it or they see gambling to be a center of doubling their money and this has cause so many gamblers to always be in the path of losing. Although, there is no how one can do it without experiencing loss but its essential for people to know the right thing to do when it comes to gambling, so as they won't be that affected by it when things are getting out of hand.

On my part, I usually gamble for fun; even if I lose, it's not a big deal to me because, in the first place, I'm willing to lose the funds I put into the casino anyway, and the amount I gamble here is limited, so this is totally for fun and entertainment only.

Though sometimes I'm also grateful that when I'm lucky I can also take home a win, and even if it's not a big amount, I'm still happy with the thing I'm experiencing; that's true.
I know that not all players are like me, but I'm always in the category of losing in my gambling.
