Even without surveys, we can actually say that majority are losing while gambling, and only few have experienced extra luck and gain life changing results from gambling.

I am loser and has suffered deficits all throughout my gambling days, but I don't think that reason alone should bother me, or everyone who is currently losing right now.

We all gamble to have some fun and make some profits, its just that some chose to chase their losses because they can't bear the losses anymore, or just the thought of having them being taken advantage by the house is simply unacceptable for them. Well they should have not entered gambling in the first place.

I voted fun because that is where I belong in gambling so I don't count my losses while gambling because I don't want to be trigger to get rich quick through gambling. However, since losing is part of the game it's better to gamble responsibly without keeping track of the money that you can not afford to get back, so I have never thought of being profitable in the game because I know that gambling depends on luck.

If count how much loss so far in gambling I believe all gambler will quick totally from gambling how most dominance amount loss than profit, seeing the deposit history most often than withdrawal history just few transaction only. Avoid quick from gambling surely all gambler don't count with how much losses in gambling or make bit comparison in last several week, month until last several years how much money spent out for deposit and withdrawing.

For you to have simply acknowledged that gambling comes with risks and accepting that fun is the primary goal helps shift the focus from chasing wins to simply enjoying the experience. Although I rarely count everything. For the first week of this month, I am still in profit, although small. I only bet on sports and haven’t played casino games this month. 
I don’t know if I can maintain the profit until the end of the month. But I plan to add a small deposit for the next week to try my luck in casino games. I am rarely lucky with casino games, earning more wins from sports betting.

It makes sense you can get some profit from betting on sports, instead of doing it by gambling on casino games. That means you have a considerable edge against other bettors, who may not have as much intuition or understanding of sports like you do.

Honestly, I have never been able to get any significant money off betting on sports, I simply recognize I don't have such a level of experience and also I don't have time to get up-to-date with the much relevant information concerning sports I like.

I never take special time to conduct research. In the first week, I usually gain ordinary profits, but when I look over several months, I usually still see negative values. 
Still, in sports betting, sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. You can't win consistently. 
I only bet on teams or matches that I am genuinely interested in and know the team's strengths. I don't make random bets. Although sometimes, intuition can also help me when making bets.

This is very true and will be helpful for those who will want to adopt it, trying to count will take time and add to the sad feelings you've got for some losses you suffered already, I think because some people don't see gambling for fun as much as they should, they want to catch up on knowing how much they lost and all other records.  But honestly it may not help as much in many cases. It may even contribute to killing the fun if you are looking at having some fun gambling, so it will be safe to just focus on the now and see the rest as just fun. Then always make sure to manage your risk well so you will not see the need to check records and become an irresponsible gambler.

Every gambler have their good bad and worst days, for me I've had some good wins and lots of near misses that made me say I'll never gamble again . I know the times I've lost would be more than when I've won although I don't count or keep record cause I am one of those who see it as a waste of time. I'm sure every gambler has been through that point of going through a near miss and saying that they are not going to gamble again due to how frustrated they are with their results. Using spare cash to gamble or an amount you can afford to lose wouldn't you keep track of your losses because they won't mean anything.

I have been gambling for the last few years, but I have never calculated my profit and loss ratio, and I don't think it is important to track it. I can roughly say I have very few losses in gambling, which was affordable for me because I never invested big; I always made small deposits and very small bets. My mindset was that I would build up that way. That is, I don't expect to make a huge profit from gambling. Just gambling to enjoy my free time, that's all. Counting profits and losses will leave most gamblers frustrated. Most gamblers will have a big difference between the loss ratio and the profit ratio.

As it should be or something that a must thing when you do deal up with gambling on which we dont mind much about being a winner or loser but rather we are just that being contented into the fun and entertainment that we do get from it. The most common mistake for someone is that you would be that trying out to make yourself as a winner or you wont be that easily accepting out and thats why you would be that chasing up your loses. Its always been best that you should be that not thinking up that much about on your loses but of course you should be only spending into the amount that you can afford to lose and wont be that doing excessive dealing up with it because once you would be finding yourself that having no control when it comes to spending then you would definitely be having that issue when it comes to finances and this is something that you do need up to avoid or would be needing up to be careful on.

Of course that is the real truth and who can sincerely come out to say they have win more than they have lost, if such persons exist, they are few because as we know, we encounter more losses than winning in gambling and that is why we are adviced to gamble with what we can afford to lose so that we do not go after our losses which may result to more disaster for us, you made a good decision by not counting losses, actually it does not worth our time for sure that is why I do not really fancy keeping record of my gamble, some persons track that but I wonder how they feel when they look at those record, I gamble, I already know that losing is a sure thing, although we have times we win too but it can not be compared to our loses but I do not allow it bother me to because I gamble with what I can afford to let go.

As for me, I have made more losses in gambling than winning, which means my gambling record is in deficit. Gambling is a very mysterious game to involve oneself, is like the more you look, the less you see. Winning your bet doesn't depend on how appealing your predictions might look like . There are times when you will trust your game or your predictions, but your prediction doesn't matter, what matters is the end result of your prediction.
I have lost so much in gambling, and for this reason, I can stay for months without gambling, and the only luck I have is that am not a high staker, and doesn't bet with the amount I can't afford to loose. I have made more losses than wins in my gambling journey, but even at that it doesn't affect me negatively in any way because i tow the path of responsible gambling and even ceases betting when when am experiencing loosing streak.

We are all winners and losers in this game called gambling, the reason why it's not getting the best of me is because I am someone who risk very little on gambling, this has made me lose count on what I have lost because it's not necessary.

It's only from those who are still very new to gambling that you will hear that they are winning more than they lose, I have learnt not to judge them but give them time to expose themselves.

As long as is the money that I can afford to lose, I'm not regretting it if I have lost more than making profits. We keep losing money in gambling overtime because you have to pay for your entertainment. Anyone that doesn't want to run at loss shouldn't gamble because it will affect you emotionally after incurring several losses.

Honestly, personally, it seems like I have more losses than wins. I don't have any records, but I can feel it lately. However, the amount of losses may not be too large because I usually don't gamble more than 5% of my income, but I really feel that losses have been happening much more often lately.
On the other hand, I accept that because, after all, the percentage of losses is always much higher than wins. Also, in my opinion, when you lose more than you win, it doesn't mean you're a loser. A loser is someone who can't take responsibility for the decisions they've made.

Reading this thread ( What have you achieved through gambling? ) inspired me to create this poll (in many posts, users indicate that they've gained almost nothing from their gambling hobby). Why? I was curious: how many users (at least within this section) actually gain anything at all at the casino? I'm not talking about the "entertainment" aspect, but rather the financial aspect.

By the time you read this thread, what is your status: a winner (in profit) or a loser (in deficit)?

Or, due to the approximate ratio of losses to wins, you've earned and lost approximately nothing. That is, at zero.

In this poll, I don't mean the number of wins and losses, but rather how much you earned or lost (expressed in money).

Question like this or similar has been asked here lately and to me there is no need for such question because even if they gave an answer what would you use it to do? I know sometimes there is some situation we will find ourselves, we would be so eager I mean push to ask some questions even though it is not necessary. Since I started gambling I have made a lots of losses and I have also made a lots of gain and what I can tell currently is that I have so much profit than loss.

I disagree it's better to check your transactions record to know what you're doing is through the record you will know if your losing more or gaining more,  transaction records are there for us to evaluate ourselves whether to stop or to continue gambling.

I keep saying the obvious fact in gambling is that we lose more than we gain, there's no winner in gambling, you might win huge sum today then lose more the next days. That's the nature of gambling, once you know that ,you will never be disappointed or be too emotional about gambling.

The question seen rhetorical, but I will provide common answer any gambling is 50-50 no assurance or claims of gambling over powering either in continuous wining or lossing can be assured luck is the pioneer, but many are lossing more than wining all depends on the level of attention or information one have in gambling because all this characterized as well facility in helping to win or lose as well . A good good help in getting close range prediction and likely to win more than one lacking those knowledge. But gambling is totally uncertainty one can't overshadow any with by wining more than losing but side with my experience is close to balance scale.
