Reason why most people under bet and miss out on big wins

It does occur to me that in some conditions, where I win a bet I least expect, the same thing happens in the opposite direction when I don't expect to lose, but I find it most annoying when I do lose.

Let's just take it this way and accept it as it is with gambling, that no matter how smart we try to be, we cannot avoid losing, because this is inevitable, we must not do away with risk when it comes to gambling because it is part of what we take to play a bet and also stand in a position of winning it if it our luck to win.

It's a normal thing because already gambling is program for the house to benefit more than the gamblers. So don't be heartbroken, although I absolutely understand the feelings but we have no option than to accept any outcome in good faith because there's no guarantee of winnings in gambling.

I think the mindset in OP is wrong in a sense that bets differ per personal needs and income.
If my annual income was a million USD I would consider a 10$ win pennies but for someone else it might be a big win because people have different needs.

So what's a big win to OP might be pennies to me. We should adjust our bets based on what we can afford and to each their own

Oh this is a valid reason too , I think I shouldn’t expect too much, I just remembered when my neighbor used our 2years rent as at them to bet and he lost , lolzz , he saw it as if nothing happened, his target was to hit the jackpot but one game denied him , to him the money was less , but to us , we shouldn’t  be talking about rent for the next 2years , you are right .

In betting this is normal because often when we bet a large amount we lose the winnings in the bet and when placing a small bet we think we want a much bigger win so we try to increase the bet. It is all a matter of probability so there is no point in crying over spilled milk. You could not have possibly foreseen this and it could have easily gone the other way, had you bet more, maybe you would have lost it all. As I said, there is no way to tell.

Personally I bet tiny amounts of money and have a fixed budget. To me, gambling is meant as entertainment, so I do not chase the ghosts of riches. As long as I am entertained, I am happy.

I understand how you feel because you wanted to use substerntial amount to place your bet but due to circumstances you couldn't and you should have won a lot of money if you had. What if you had used substernal amount and lost the bet which would mean that you have blown all your money for nothing, I'm sure that you will be in regret now. Gambling results are not in your hands so I wouldn't advice you to use all your money to bet the next time your friend gives you a tip because you can lose everything. This happened to me but I played in control. A friend of mine sent me a link to a casino and asked me to play a game there and he assured me that there were many chances of winning from there. This is the wrong mindset. Just because you win on a small bet doesn't mean increasing the bet to an amount you can't afford to lose in order to make a bigger profit is a good idea.
Because a bet is still a bet with a 50/50 chance, you can win but also lose.
It's better to stick to the amount you can afford to lose, even if the profit is not very exciting, at least it won't make you go beyond your limits.

I think some casinos that are audited and legalized by the government, they have algorithms that won't always make them win and take all the players' money.
There are some moments when big wins will be issued and some other winnings will be given so that players believe to put their money into the casino.
