Everyone can make such claim, I thought I would win the bet but didn't have the money so bet small and end up winning it, What if you lost that, do you have any explanation and the story of friend doesn't make any sense, if he was good one at predicting the game then why he didn't take the bet with more money? I think its normal. People who are gambling is fine to used smaller funds cause it is betting and gambling nothing sure of the outocme later on. Since his good at prediction, it wouldnt hurt also to bet on his own skills I guess and even you if you truly trust him then try a bit sometimes.

And if I talk about using small amounts in gambling, I don't find any negativity in it, in fact, I think it's better to do this because not everyone can afford big amounts all the time. And in my own case, I tend to stake very small amounts when my bankroll is small to enjoy a long-term game. And the biggest benefit of this even I lose the money that doesn't impact on me much.

Not heartbroken tho but sometimes I regret not raising my bet and other times sticking to my usual bet saves me from losing too much, so I think consistency is more important. We’re always tempted to raise our bet or get too greedy when we feel confident, but just because someone is good at predicting doesn’t mean it's guarantee a win. You are talking this way because you guys won, your money was saved and you still win extra, a win is a win isn't it? You people only thinks about the positive side of gambling.

If you had the chance to risk higher amount you would have won a lot, but what would have happened if you lose the bet? It's better to risk small money and win or lose than to risk high amount of money and lose.

Their aim is certainly not to make you win but to make money for them.

People who make incorrect predictions are not good predictors, they are bad at it. Players that almost always play bad are not good players, they are bad players. Occasionally being good does not make someone a good player. You have stated yourself that most of his predictions turn out to be losses, which means that he is terrible at predicting. We don't know if the friend isn't accurate on his predictions or if it's about OP and his friend not having self-confidence enough to trust their own guesses. I can think about both possibilities, as to just be a good guesser isn't enough, you also have to trust yourself, otherwise, the placed bets will be always quite cheap for fear of losing money. After all, there will be that feeling of frustration where it feels like they are always missing a profit opportunity for being too miserable on their bets.

Exactly, that is the point , no one knows who will be lucky and when , winning happens unexpectedly same with lost, so anyone who is playing has this two mindset , which is either a win or a lost , but many person their emotions has kept them back , they mostly under bet and lose out on big wins , even if it’s not a life changing amount , but it should be what can get you something tangible, but it all depends on individual and their mindset anyways , so your opinion is valid too.
