I updated the coinmarketcap application form with details of COMM's addition to bter and mintpal. Unfortunately, I cannot provide them with details of the new coin supply because they require a URL that gives a constantly updated total of all coins in circulation. For my first coinmarketcap application I got this from an API call to the block explorer using this URL http://www.coinexplorers.com/chain/CommunityCoin/q/totalbcThe block explorer gets the information from a COMM wallet it runs. Both the old and latest COMM wallet (version 1.5) displays the total number of coins as 1 billion+, not the new supply of about 800 million. You can check this yourself by opening the COMM wallet debug window, typing getinfo, and hitting enter. This results in the debug window showing the total money supply and other information. I think someone had a discussion with Adriano about this, but I cannot remember the details. Coinmarket cap requires a URL giving a total coins figure constantly updated to account for PoS coins freshly mined by COMM wallets. The only fix I can think of for this is to edit the current wallet's code to make it display the new 800 million+ total. Can anyone else think of a better fix? as far as I understood, the coins still exists but aren't accessible, so technically it is still 1 billion... Do they have an influence on minting of the other coins ? (since it is based on the weight of the stack compared to the others)

Hi, that's right, the money supply is still 1+ billion. The only thing is that we have blocked about 200 million from moving between addresses (making them worthless). I have already tested some ways to solve this issue but it can't be done in the past blocks, we would need a new change in the code and agree on a block number in the future with time to everybody to update their wallets so the supply would be corrected on that specific block. I have sent a message to the dev earlier today asking about the bounty was offered to whoever fix the lost wallet issue ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=558319.msg6286407#msg6286407). As soon as I get a response from him I can start talking about the money supply issue again. Adriano

Okay, I've gotten around to it. In order to balance your request with the constructive (and needed!) criticism of jiosefjd, I settled upon a light pink that's not too far from off-white. Some may think it looks like bubble gum , but it's a much lighter version of the very same scarlet that Community Coin uses. Besides, I've read that pink is a relaxing colour. So, without further ado, here's the new paint job: http://www.reddit.com/r/communitycoin/ Great revamp job! One suggestion from me... maybe we should ask banner author to make another stretched and reduced in height image to fill all the top part. Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to dig through the thread to look for the banner author to ask for the change, as I have zero Photoshop skills. Oookay. I've plowed through the thread and found the artist. Just sent him a PM on our behalf.

(since it is based on the weight of the stack compared to the others) Technically they don't because they are only aging but won't be on an open wallet so no minting for them. It would require a review in the minting code but maybe the percentage stated (30% on first year) will refer only to the wallets which are ofen opened. If this is the case we could assume it will be 240 million coins instead of 300 million in the first year. Adriano

Moving along from the latest trollstorm.... I'm polling the community about the latest iteration of the subreddit. My first design wasn't all that good, and someone was good enough to point that out. I made the changes she requested. Feel free to review it yourself: Community Coin Subreddit, Second Iteration
http://www.reddit.com/r/communitycoin/
Comments, suggestions welcome! As with the first iteration, I'll be spamming away on this thread all day today before letting the matter rest. Thanks for your job! My suggestion is to implement more the specific COMM red colour. Something like Vertcoins reddit in green: http://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoinThanks for your feedback. I did start off by using Community Coin scarlet as the background, but someone said it was too distracting and I agreed with her. I could try a muted shade of pink like the backdrop colour for the sidebar, though... Any community members have the knowledge to set up a 100 richest wallets listing? virtualdn?
That would be a very helpful statistic to get a rough idea of distribution. http://agran.net/mmc_getbalance.php?top=100 Someone with programming skills can probably use this a starting point.

from the total ~470 people we paid, we removed following people from the 2nd round distribution: 1. Those who cheated with same account different wallet addresses 2. Those who cheated with different accounts but we determined that they are all the same person 3. Those we accidentally paid twice (only a few - so many payments sent) 4. Those who did not access their accounts for the last week 5. Those who sold the coins and/or encourage others to sell. 6. Those who attacked the COMM coin and devs I didn't recieve second round and i did nothing from 1-6 could someone explain so that i don't have to search here in the thread? You can see the list here: http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/2nd-round-raw-list-1684/http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/rejected-accepted-username-list-13-april-1665/

Delivery should be completed here. What's rest goes to bounty unless i believe the list comes from samysamy1 good enough (last time i put online the form for a test more than 20 people most was crab) Meanwhile i got the recent delivery list put online at ecoiner and asked from samysamy1 by pm to get me good users seed list. I want to check who did what and if i missed some of them at second round. list: http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/2nd-round-cleared-list-2192/According to the latest OP, it's a good signal we have a clear 2nd round list now including 277 luck guys getting their 2nd stakes. Sadly, the dev said the delivery basically completed. I have no idea as I expected that there should be a 'final' distribution stage as listed on OP for at least one week (as before the dev wrote in OP there will be 80mil available for re-consideration). I'm not sure how many stakes there are on earth left. When I asked yesterday, all guys selected silence. Is it a secret for the community? Yesterday, someone pointed out there are a lot of fake accounts getting two rounds stakes. You beleivers defend the dev as "anyone" can make mistakes. I agreed. And I think even those accounts are from the dev, that's not a big problem. But I feel disappointed if there are further "accident" with the left stakes. Two doubts should be answered: 1. how many stakes are left on earth? 2. how many stakes will be flowed into bounties? As the information I have so far, my deductions may be 1. 80mil As the dev declaimed there are 80m coins left (but he deleted the part on the OP now) 2. 1000mil(orignial)-196mil("lost" coins)-~470-277 = 53 mil we had two polls before : one is on the total amount of stakeholders which reduced from 1000 to 500; the other one is how many bounties should be reserved. There is the result: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=557616.0over 65% votes selected 0.5% or <0.5% ( 4mil COMMs). I hope the dev can give a clear answer. AND publish a complete list of 1st round stakeholders, so we will have a full stakeholder list and we can check it's a FAIR distribution. Not only for our COMMunity members, but also for the investors.

It seems so. I submit my request to the dev, majormax and samysamy1. I hope the dev can give a CLEAR response. Otherwise, I will open a new thread to discuss this. We are communitycoin supporters, but not fools.

The wallet will only mint stake when it is open. The coins will 'age' in a closed wallet, but it would need to be open for a while to stake, because it is like mining, probability. You should ideally open every week or so for at least a few hours continually.
Thanks Majormax, it's clear now .

If there is no a clear response about the full list and the left stake, I can say more and more community members will be deeply disappointed and will leave the community. I feel sad. But it's true.

The devs are intentionally making it vague?
Here is my take and speculation. The hard drive was ruined and the dev had already started distributing the second round. Suddenly there was not enough to distribute to everyone who met the criteria. Maybe it was too late to make it "fair" since many already received the second stake. Given the problem at hand perhaps the dev was overwhelmed with how to explain the loss and instead of stopping the second distribution to ask the community what should be done, the distribution continued. Almost 200 people were suddenly deemed to be cheaters as implied by the justification for not receiving a second stake. Given the disparity of fact, in which many who received the second stake dumped coins, and many who were rejected were very active contributors, I am now starting to believe that the dev is digging himself a hole in which the truth can never be revealed without discrediting the story. I believe the coins were really lost and I believe in the devs good intentions. I appreciate the first stake. However, I also believe that now more than ever this community appears strong because it is thriving despite everything I just stated. Unfortunately, many good people were lost. I have stuck it out and have found that the remaining stakeholders make this coins potential all the more real. I am choosing to leave behind the notion that I am going to be given a fair shake by the dev. It is not about the extra coin, so much as not being implied as some sort of unworthy person by the dev. In fact, I would gladly give any extra stake back to the community. The entire concept and initial distribution of this was very well planned and I give credit where it is due, but the continued success of this coin now lies on the community. The dev can aid this success by being more transparent, but COMM would likely survive if he never chimed in again. Again, this is all speculation and me standing on a soap box. There is a good chance that I am completely wrong. Also, as stated before, I do appreciate the 1st stake.

I am a bit afraid. I feel the whole community could be abandoned by the dev. Why did I say so? If you noticed, the dev said there is a reconsideration phase to distributed the left 80mil coins to those who are helpful to community. That's the reason there are a lot of hopeful members to help vote on Mintpal and bter. After the targets have been achieved (landing on both Mintpal and Bter), the dev changed his statement: the delivery is over, the left 80mil coins are gone ( to the pocket of the dev?). I, also a lot of previous COMM members and big supporters (e.g. see what happened to the owner of coinex.pw), were deeple disappointed. We felt we have been betrayed by the dev. He used us to make COMM on exchanges and kicked us away with >10% of total coins. I have a feeling that the good project COMM is evolving towards to a potential scam. I don't hope it's true. I am still waiting for the response from the dev. If no any feedback, I think I will open a new thread to reveal all things about COMM, both good and bad.
