I spent some time lurking on the two Information Coin threads. What a contrast to this thread! First of all, the distribution of Information Coin was orderly. Because it was orderly, and because there were no mishaps, people accepted it as "fair." There was hardly a trace of FUD. But here's the interesting part. Compared to this thread the live ITC thread is all-but dead! Most of the posts are applications. Not much action, and almost all of it is centered around ITC's performance on Poloniex. Hardly anyone is doing anything: the two people doing the most are old friends of ours from here. The Thunderclap signup was slow until this afternoon. ITC's subreddit still has the default theme, and has less than 20 subscribers; ours has 109. The ITC distro is over, but all they have services-wise is a single faucet. The only donation drive is for a multipool. Other than the Thunderclap, Adriano's Twitter-promotion campaign and pabloangello's IRC-centered promotion, there's only one poster trying to drive promotion. No voting drive for Mintpal, no voting drive for anything. Really, it's day and night. Already, one person there complained about almost all the stakeholders sitting on their bums and waiting for something to happen. The moral? Community Coin's distribution was chaotic and marked with mistakes, but COMM generated a ton of enthusiasm while ITC has generated close to none. The only movers and shakers I saw, other than the founding dev and a team member, were some of the same movers and shakers here. Moreover, COMM's languishing on Poloniex while ITC had the benefit of a nice huge pump (which mostly fell apart.) Strange are the contrasts... That's why this is Community Coin. The true treasure are people around it and in it. I still believe that someday it will be the main point, which is mentioned about COMM. I can't understand those, who sell now. Lack of patience, wanting to get into other quick buck coins as, for example, CINN... Many aspects, but I am standing against, even if very anxious about such a price drop, I haven't sold a single COMM. This coin is Community driven coin and as such will be. ITC thread is cold, I got one share, but there is uncomfortable, I want to involve all my spare time into COMM coin. Actually I did not much in comparison to others, only posts and pledges lists are my job, I contribute as much as I can. +1

The Thunderclap campaign is actually a pretty good thing. Pretty loud clap through the net. We have over 120K Tweets or posts or likes at the same time. A LOT of people will see that. Current problem is what they see then. I don't see much action on the forum for the coin. http://communitycointalk.com/index.phpIt's mostly dead right now, but at least it's there. I suggest we start a migration over there, done pretty easily, just post over there. It's as easy as pressing a button. Vote for the forum! So, having the website up and a forum with at least a tiny amount of serious life in it, will help a lot. We're still pretty obscure, hiding in the altcoin section. We're mostly a prominent thread. Being over at the forum will give us an own place to stay and welcome newcomers. If we manage to put some utility into the coin by then, we might even get a bunch of buyers. Right now the coin is just pure speculation. We're still alive and kicking though. If the community finds any solutions as to what you can do with the coin. To offer something that will really get this coin off on the short term, I have an idea I am willing to support with a first pledge of 50K, however things work out. We need some rigged gamble. Clou is, it is rigged for the player. In fact, it is a further development of the concept of faucets. Offer a game that pays more money out, than you put in. Get payed for gaming. This will lead to an incredible popularity boost on the short term. Maybe even bolster the course a bit. It will give us more time to add further utility to the coin. I hope some of you join me in discussing this further over at the other forum. I will post a link to the thread later.

All good ideas but you should make more posts and articles about how the Dev stole massive amounts of coin from the community members but noone cares bcs they don't want to screw up the fake value of their free imaginary internet coins.

The distribution is not over yet. Regarding people with bad behavior, I tend to agree. Why would you give anything to anyone badmouthing you or what you create ?

you cannot pay more than what you earn... for obvious reason. (you wouldn't last long in casino business...) It is intended as a an replacement for faucets. A more effective marketing and giveaway mechanism. Offering blackjack with a cap on bettings and a slight rnd shift in favor of the player will sustain itself quiet some time. How long depends on how big the rnd shift is. Combine this with a way to limit frequency of play and you have something very very effective This will take some development time though and pledges are needed for the person that takes up the work. I will start with a 100K Explaining further at the official forum: http://communitycointalk.com/index.php

The comparison with Blackcoin is interesting. Similar method of distribution, similar size of thread and community at this stage.
BC is 7 weeks further down the road, and currently valued (Total market cap) at around 20 times COMM. (and has been as high as 50 x )

I don't understand why you are speaking about website. Sorry but Dev is as human as you are. If someone is repeatedly insulting him, his work, criticizing his motives, why in the hell would he give anything ? There's nothing hostile in that.

I meant the other post, that you replied to, was hostile (I deleted it from the quote because it was shouting in blue). That post was replying to the website pledge thread. I am agreeing with you.
