We need serious multipool like blackcoinpool. Decent graphics too. Not amateurish. (sorry but compare it with blackcoinpool.com) Automated daily payouts. Why wait for price of comm to sell during a week? It is not good for price grow in any way. If we want pump price up, payouts once per week is really bad idea for comm and miners too. Personally don't know any miner who want weekly payouts for minning. There is no other way to do it right. Just own multipool with daily payouts with light graphical interface without bugs. Exists some opensource multipool sw? btw If someone want support comm, he can allways mine on any existing multipool around and then for btc he earn buy comms. And what about new website ? When will be up ? Adriano dont take it personally, but you have to admit its true.

+1^^ A very competitive and kick-ass multipool will do great things.

The closest thing to a dedicated multipool would be Hashcow accepting payment in COMM.

I remember in the FAC thread someone posting some developer was asking 12.5 BTC for dedicated multipool software. At current prices that would be 12.5 million COMM, i don't think we would be able to raise that, but i agree it would be our best option right now.

I never knew the name, but the guy contacting him is called Alty

12.5 BTC or even a bit less is a lot to raise from donations, but if we could find some good samaritans with a big enough purse that could LEND the necessary amount, it would be just a matter of increasing pool taxes x% until the debt is paid.

I don't know how much BTC Blackcoin multipool is generating daily, so i have no idea if this approach is possible.

12.5 BTC is too expensive Grin but sometimes is better to spend coins for something useful instead filling faucets. (just joke Smiley )
Some skilled porgrammer could be do it cheaper. I thing multipool is about 50% stratum proxy redirects and next 50% is about synchronizing wallet system, APIs, planed daily payouts, web interface etc...

Don't worry, I won't take it personally, in fact I support the idea of having a real multipool (I even supported the idea of having hashco.ws paying in COMM posted earlier today). But not for the arguments you pointed because they just do not make sense:

Why wait for price of comm to sell during a week? It is not good for price grow in any way.
We use the received BTC to BUY COMM, not the other way around. As we buy it regularly (during the week) it helps to grow price and not paying it daily only keep those COMM out of the exchanges. Anyone who want COMM in order to sell it is mining on the wrong pool indeed, just ask me to receive the BTC itself and I will pay anyone who wants daily (better yet, just mine directly to your own address).

btw If someone want support comm, he can always mine on any existing multipool around and then for btc he earn buy comms.

I agree. The multipool only make fees smaller as we join forces and only withdraw once, smaller fees == higher profits. That doesn't make much of a difference for bigger miners but it does for people who are mining with 300kh/s.

Exists some opensource multipool sw?

Yes there are. But the intelligence required to decide which coin to mine at a given point in time and to trade those coins at the exchanges is not open sourced. It requires someone to write it and test it (we are dealing with other's people money). If we just try to buy at the best sell offer the spread usually is higher than 10% in the order book.

Just own multipool with daily payouts with light graphical interface without bugs.

What bugs are you talking about ?

And what about new website ? When will be up ?

This question doesn't have anything to do with the multipool. It should be addressed to someone else.

This is an exeedingly interesting proposal for further technical development for COMM.
The feature proposed would allow to mint with coins in cold storage.

Doing this would add an unmatched level of security and convenience to COMM, especially as a long term investment.

I would appreciate if this is commented and in case of positive feedback supported with a bounty and additional pledges.

Good Programmers aren't cheap... Cheap Programmers aren't usually Good :-)

But if the pool charges a percentage of the mining (most charge between 2%-3%) it is something someone would do just for the long-term profits.

I had plans to do it as next steps of this "multipool" i developed. As I said in the previous comment, most part is already available as opensource (and works very well) and the required work is to pick the right coins and trade them at exchanges.

Of course having so many coins running at the same time requires a good hardware and plenty bandwith. The main problem is deal with DDoS attacks, this requires hiring services such as Cloudflare which can be very expensives.

I suppose you are talking about the open source NOMP project. That is good idea, DIEM is using the same software for their multipool http://carpediempool.com/.

If they can do it , we can do it too!

Comment:

Is this really possible ?  Surely the coins in coldstore have to be authenticated as belonging to the owner in order to mint stake. The only way to do that is to sign with the private key. The private key to a coldstore address, by definition , can never be online, so doesn't that fundamentally flaw the concept ?
