Guys,I'm really worried about the price drop. As much as I don't want to dump,I don't see any alternative right now. Why are people even selling at >100 sat?

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Have you ever wonder why there's still no price surge since it hits mintpal? Sell all your coins cheap (big thanks to all sellers) and you will regret it later.  Great things coming in few days better watch out! Cool

-COMM website updated, feedbacks welcome http://www.communitycoin.info/

 -COMM Wallet 1.5 Done
http://www.communitycoin.info/CommunityCoin15.zip

(1) Coin Control features
(2) Fixes by Adriano for blocking transactions from lost wallet
(3) Latest checkpoints

-Coin Control features allows you to control sending the coins with minimum coin-age, so to preserve maximum the pos generation.
This is how to use it: first you need to enable it, by going to Settings->Options click on "display" tab, then select "Display coin control features"
now under "Send coins" you see coin control features with "inputs..." you can select what coins you want to send. You can select based on addresses, etc.

To send the minimum coin-age coins, you can select "list mode", sort on "confirmations", and select those with low confirmations, these are the coins with less coin-age. Then you can send based on what you selected.

COMM 1.5 download:
http://www.communitycoin.info/CommunityCoin15.zip

- majormax my new communicator, bring important issues to him
- new site is underdevelopment thanks majormax http://i61.tinypic.com/29geno4.jpg

Lost wallet issue, fixed at 1.5 wallet update. As a community, we are going strong, and with about 800 mil coins in circulation, we will have a better value of our coin! So delivery is basically completed, those who accepted & followed rules got their comms.

basic delivery completed

from the total ~470 people we paid, we removed following people from the 2nd round distribution:
1. Those who cheated with same account different wallet addresses
2. Those who cheated with different accounts but we determined that they are all the same person
3. Those we accidentally paid twice (only a few - so many payments sent)
4. Those who did not access their accounts for the last week
5. Those who sold the coins and/or encourage others to sell.
6. Those who attacked the COMM coin and devs

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=558319.msg6327766#msg6327766 (Adriano fix after crash)

There were several people involved in the distribution. I have analized first two wallets delivery logs here
http://communitycoin.info/UPLOAD-list-ASC.html (some data is hidden to protect privacy, anonymity, if asked can give full info for invigilators selected from the community) . As far as the lost wallet is concerned elcoco (block explorer owner) it still investigating it. At first sight, it seemed me 41 or less deliveries have been done from that wallet. (I used 1 m bounty for him as well.)  No matter how much I wanted I could not made equal delivery but it does not mean we are not fair. We are still as fair as possible, that means hugely more transparent than a lot of coins.

The Plan is this, what ever is left slowly send as rewards to good working community members. (who were never changed himself against trolls, fuds, joined community activities, be a good sample for others, made good products for COMMunity etc) For example A current round delivers  200k COMM to more members. There needs to be some significant bounty left for important jobs in the future, and I will report that amount in due course.

Last delivered username (most have 2m) list given there: http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/2nd-round-cleared-list-2192/

This is all subject to review and addition, the audit process is not finished.

Mistakes were no doubt made with a number of people involved, but the vast majority of coins have been distributed well. I will keep working for COMM in good faith no matter what, and will make further reports on the distribution phase when more information is collated.

Use COMM multi pool: http://community.bitcoinland.org/multipool/ Thanks Adriano

As a developer I am part of this group and am just abiding by these simple community-friendly rules:

Simple FAIRNESS to the Community  is the main consideration.

CommunityCoin - COMM

Official Website: http://www.communitycoin.info (under development)

What is CommunityCoin?

COMMunity Coin is a Proof of Stake Coin. The initial distribution was made to qualified and experienced people in the crypto currency space.  Around 800 million coins remain extant as at 21st April 2014, when the initial distribution finished.

Further distribution is made by means of gifts, bounties and trading in the usual way, and PoS (30% interest in the first year) blocks maintain the network.

BENEFITS

The COMMunity works together to increase the utility, and therefore value, by different enhancement/marketing/promotions, as well as technical ideas and progress . Everyone should have a part to play, and varying skills to bring to the table.
The advantage of distributing this way is that  Founder Holders are generally experienced in the way CryptoCoins work, and will consequently contribute more to the COMMunity over time.  The COMMunity understands that coins need to be given and earned in the widest possible way to improve adoption.
Proof of Stake is far less energy intensive than Proof of Work (the standard method of generating Cryptos up until now). Under the correct conditions, it creates a more secure network, less prone to attack, and as it matures, provides faster confirmations of transactions.

Guys,I'm really worried about the price drop. As much as I don't want to dump,I don't see any alternative right now. Why are people even selling at >100 sat?

As an answer I want to remind of the fact that in the past BC gone from pump to 200sats. I thought it was dead those days. The BC begining of journey was very wavy. And accidentaly it hit 90 000+ sats in a matter of few days. Ok, I am not comparing BC with COMM, it is better to compare it with Doge and that means it can go even higher. But keep in mind the volatility of cryptocurrency world. This is in our-community, hands to develop, promote, force the coin and generate innovative ideas. Keep up your spirits even when price drops because of stupid dumpers. I will keep my coins. At this price it isn't reasonable to sell anymore. Many thanks to everyone, who have done that great work. This is least to say. Look, step by step, there is building a good infrastructure around COMM. I was very happy to read about reddit tipbot. The brand new website is very good looking, soon there will come Android wallet, I am sure the dev will be found. And all good things are done by community incentive. There are not much coins, where community as a single instance moves the coin forward. I see many things in common with Doge. We can do even better! Work, belief and patience are the milestones.

Agree.

I cannot believe people make these public posts about price.  'As much as I don't want to dump,I don't see any alternative right now'

The alternative to dumping is to hold this coin for it's long term potential. The statement is quite revealing .

Interesting : because the distribution was 'free' it means some people will sell without regard to price. That is why the first months are bound to have some large drops in price.

It is actually better for a non-committed holder to dump sooner rather than later, because it gets that phase over quicker.

I was just slightly worried about the tanking over the past few days. I still am holding my coins and believe in the potential of the coin. Either way,it's too low to even consider selling now  Tongue. The guys managing over at reddit are doing a good job as well. So,yeah...I'm holding. Heck,we know that the dev is still there,so that's already a major advantage we have over most other new coins whose dev just abandoned everything and shut shop.

if you are watching these post and agree with the solid points indicated, the very first thing you have to do is withdrawl your COMM from any exchanges to you own wallet as soon as possible..there is no reason you give your money for these exchanges minting the free money that suppose belongs to you..this is also the way to help COMM..the price will keep depressing if these exchanges keep a large volumes of COMM..you know why?bc these exchanges will just sell away what they get from minting your money.

Very wisely said Majormax, this basicaly ends the topic of price moanings at early stage like this.
I would just add one fact to that: HOLDING COINS PRODUCES MORE OF THEM - remember this is POS.

Wow, so the 1 million coins the 300 people got originally are worth 1 btc each. Easy money I guess, shame I missed out on it Sad. I am on the reserved list (early I believe) but I assume the reserve list is now over when the dev lost the final wallet?

Lets see how this fairs over the next few months Smiley.

Yes and this can turn into 10BTC quite soon. But we have to work together to develop the coin and marketing.
