As an answer I want to remind of the fact that in the past BC gone from pump to 200sats. I thought it was dead those days. The BC beginning of journey was very wavy. And accidentally it hit 90 000+ sats in a matter of few days. Ok, I am not comparing BC with COMM, it is better to compare it with Doge and that means it can go even higher.
Good point. The trouble with the price is not that there are too many sellers, but too few buyers right now!
That explains why BC went from "dead" to skyrocketing. At the time, the multipool concept was untried and iffy - so naturally there was a lot of skepticism. Lots of skeptics, few buyers. Sure enough, though, skepticism turned into belief and (eventually) blind faith as the crowd piled in.
I see why you demurred. The trouble with comparing COMM to BC is that BC had an entirely new feature: the BC-buying multipool. Around here, novelty rules: that's why there are so many fads. A rocket ride like BC is only possible when something new comes along that's different enough to attract widespread scoffing at first. Then, it has to break that barrier by proving to be "viable" (i.e., promise quick profits.) Once the crowd is certain the coin won't fade into the crapcoin graveyard, and gets the idea that quick money can be made with it, then the pile-in begins.
Ideally, the dev team at this point will throw a lot of their new-found wealth into ecosystem growth, like BC's team has done recently. Any dev team that doesn't will effectively abandon their coin: if there's no growth in real value during the bubble phase, then there's no reason for the coin not to be driven down hard once the crowd abandons it.
With respect to Community Coin, it's a bit of a different task. It's not the first to promise "free and fair" distribution, so it doesn't have that novelty value. The "free and fair" fad shows signs of becoming yesterday's fad. So, it would be unrealistic to expect a quick-payoff pump at this point.
Really, the only way to go forward is to not worry about the price and see Community Coin as a worthwhile experiment in community building. Yep, it helps a lot if you're a builder.
