Trabzonspor returned home from their away match against Konyaspor with a defeat, there is no explaining this defeat because they lost to the only team in the league that hadn’t earned any points. Trabzonspor have a tougher task next week because they’ll be playing Galatasaray.
Konyaspor picked up their first points of the season.
I don't understand what's going on with Trabzonspor. They had a good season last year and even strengthened their squad this season yet, they were beaten by Konyaspor—a team that hadn't picked up any points in the league—after conceding a goal in the second minute, and the worst part is they couldn't find an equalizer throughout the entire 90 minutes. It will be tough for them to win against Galatasaray, but I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Galatasaray after losing to Konyaspor anything can happen.

Konyaspor secured their first win of the season by defeating Trabzonspor 1-0 in the fourth week of the league. Trabzonspor had only one scoring opportunity in the first half: a shot by Salah in the 45th minute that went over the bar. Konyaspor was the team that dominated play during the first half. In the second half, Trabzonspor tried to attack, facing the disadvantage of trailing 1-0. They attempted to score with long-range shots but were unsuccessful. Onuachu once again just wandered around the pitch; he failed to make any positive contribution. I had expected Trabzonspor to win this match and İlhan Palut to resign, but Konya took the three points. Trabzonspor urgently needs a new head coach. Furthermore, Franculino should play instead of Onuachu in the forward line. It is also worth noting that Konyaspor's goal was a beautiful one.
I think Trabzonspor will quickly find a new head coach after this defeat. If Trabzonspor had won, they would have continued with Hüseyin Şimşir, but I am certain it won't work out with him. In my opinion, Şenol Güneş is someone who deserves to coach this team. Trabzonspor has a quality squad. An offer was made to Arda Turan, but he indicated that he wanted to stay with Shakhtar. Selçuk İnan is the first person who comes to mind; perhaps they will bring him in to lead Trabzonspor. Given that they’ve brought Salah into the squad, Selçuk İnan can’t become the team's head coach right now; they need someone with an established managerial career. Besides, I don’t think Selçuk İnan would leave Kocaelispor to come to Trabzon. That prediction of yours is a bit far-fetched. I also think they’ll step up their search for a head coach. It’s impossible for them to succeed with Hüseyin Şimşir. I can’t think of any foreign coaches currently available who would come to Trabzonspor.

Everyone had high hopes for Trabzonspor at the start of the season especially after the Mohamed Salah transfer, the team was viewed as a formidable force. However, their current level of play is only slightly above average, and they still do not look like a championship team.

Their performance isn't actually all that bad, though naturally, it falls short of expectations. Trabzonspor has recorded two losses, two wins, and one draw in five matches. Mohamed Salah has impressed with his effective play so far, proving that his signing was the right move. I am certain he will create more chances and score more goals in the future; the Turkish league should be easier for him than the Premier League. However, it seems the other Trabzonspor players are struggling to adapt to him. They have upcoming matches in the Conference League, and to succeed there, they need to perform at their best in every domestic game. I believe steps regarding the head coach position will be taken soon.

Galatasaray plays against Kocaelispor today. The squad doesn't look good at all Osimhen and Lemina are missing. Okan Buruk remarked that Kocaelispor is a difficult matchup for them—the very fact that he said this shows just how wary he is of dropping points. Kocaelispor has started the season well, though under normal circumstances, they shouldn't really be a match for Galatasaray. Even though the game is at home at Rams Park, it promises to be a tough one.

Playing without Victor Osimhen is always a difficult task for Galatasaray and now Lemina is also absent, that'll add more salt to their injury. But they're playing against Kocaelispor who I don't think are strong enough to stop them from getting a good result without their two star players. It might be a difficult game for the reigning Turkish champions but I expect them to get a decent result that'll give them the full three points.

Gençlerbirliği, having collected 7 points from their first three matches, lost 1-2 to Kasımpaşa today despite taking a 1-0 lead. Next week, they will likely lose to Başakşehir, and the club will part ways with Metin Diyadin. Then someone else will come in; they will stick with him for a while before dismissing him and bringing Metin Diyadin back. Something similar happened last year, and it will happen again. Taking 3 points from Fenerbahçe in the opening week was entirely due to İrfan Can's outstanding performance. He played with total focus precisely because the opponent was Fenerbahçe. Gençlerbirliği's squad isn't strong; they are one of my picks for relegation.

Galatasaray vs. Kocaelispor match is over. In my opinion, the most important thing for the Galatasaray players in this match was to prove themselves after the Sporting game. I think some players’ performance was still poor, while others had too much pressure on them. Most players didn’t even play in their usual positions in the Sporting match, and I don’t blame the coach because the front office didn’t make any transfers. Instead of filling the gaps in the team, they made risky transfers.

There is really nothing to say about Beşiktaş today; they were in control from start to finish. They won 3–0, but the margin could easily have been even wider—the fact that they took 21 shots proves this. Erzurumspor failed to pose any real threat. It was crucial for Beşiktaş not to drop points following the derby against Fenerbahçe. As for Orkun, I’m a bit undecided. His quality is undeniable. His intense drive is a double-edged sword; he needs to control his emotions better to stay in the game. If he can calm down a bit, his potential could easily make him one of the league's most effective midfielders.
Your point makes sense about Orkun but also he is not that bad. He might have strong emotions on the pitch but it is in a good way I think. I don't think he is 'not calm'. He is the captain and he is carrying that responsibility. Check out the story behind the yellow card shown to Orkun. If you didn't watch the game, you can see it in the video, but I'll give you a quick summary. https://x.com/ekgedik1903/status/2098767063825125573While setting up the wall, the referee marked the distance at approximately 12 meters instead of 9.15 meters. Orkun noticed the mistake, measured it himself and protested to the referee. Despite this, the referee didn't have the wall set up correctly and showed Orkun a yellow card for protesting. See what kind of gang we're up against. As long as we remain silent against them, they'll do everything in their power to ensure we don't win. This system, which blatantly disallows our goals, continues to ignore our penalties and looks for every opportunity to show our players cards. This referee should have been expelled from the profession today. Since this man remains untouched, we must fight the powers behind him. Whoever is protecting him must be removed from their positions. We will not tolerate those who use Turkish football as a tool for these dirty games. This is unbelievable. We are lucky he only got a yellow card. I would literally lose my mind and got a red card if I were him. The referee should indeed be forced to retire/banned. And you are right, they are probably do this on purpose. There will be unfortunately more in the future and Beşiktaş should be careful and just focus on their football. No need extra drama, just focus on good football.

Although the result was not very respectable, they were able to secure 3 points. I expected to see a bigger scorecard at home. However, they left the field with a victory, albeit by a small margin. The biggest problem for most Turkish clubs is the lack of team depth or substitute players. Turkish League champions Galatasaray are suffering from uncertainty with the absence of only two players. To do well in big tournaments like the Champions League, you must increase the team depth and have suitable substitute players for every position. Galatasaray's performance today was not satisfactory without Victor Osimhen and Lemina. They were also badly defeated in the Champions League.

tbh i no longer enjoy watching Galatasaray despite their new transfers. some of the players are performing well below average and dragging the rest of the team down with them. i particularly didn't like Barış Alper, who played on the right wing and Sara. they were completely invisible on the pitch.

I understand your point and it's frustrating to see a team play in that manner at their home stadium. I honestly expect more from Galatasaray, I thought should be dominating the game with many goals but they only managed to get a goal in. In the end what matters is getting maximum point and they did, they were able to maintain their top spot. There are times that players struggle with form, sometimes the entire team does. Currently I think it's due to Osimhen's absence that's why they are struggling. Osimhen makes it more easier and takes the responsibility off other players. They should just manage and keep picking 3 points till Osimhen returns to the team.

The effect of Victor Osimhen absence is really telling in the squad because since he has been ruled out as a result of injury, the team is unable to match his energy, no one to ginger the team when they are feeling weak. Galatasaray should even thank their stars that Kocaelispor didn't equaliser if not it would have just been a wasted effort. The players you called were not helpful to the team. I don't know what made them to be so weak today or should we say that it was as a result of tiredness from their Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon.

When Osimhen plays, the team is so comfortable. random crosses from the wings, set pieces, one way or another the ball just finds the back of the net. team got way too comfortable. Turns out Osimhen was the workhorse of this team, doing all the heavy lifting.

Galatasaray’s lack of Victor Osimhen is certainly noticeable; they’re missing his physicality, his pace and his knack for scoring goals. They won by the skin of their teeth today, but a draw would have been more likely because they really couldn’t find a way out of it. Let’s hope Osimhen makes a quicker return than expected, because without him things are looking grim. Rafael Leao really is a player who takes to the pitch with little desire to play or win matches.

I see posts stating that Okan Buruk holds the record for the highest win percentage of any manager in Süper Lig history, having won 119 of the 149 matches 80% he managed for Galatasaray. I wonder if this success is actually due to Okan Buruk himself, or if it simply coincided with a period of weak competition in the league personally, I don't attribute this achievement to him. Galatasaray's rivals were weak and their squad was strong I believe any average manager would have achieved the same level of success.

The weakness of the league is a factor. There is also the poor form Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe have shown over the last four years, as well as the biased and timid officiating. For instance, the referee’s failure to book Torreira during the incident in the second minute of yesterday's match is a prime example of this. Had he shown a red card at that moment, would Galatasaray have still managed to win the game? There have been many such instances, and they play a major role. It is worth looking at the breakdown of these victories—how many were in the Turkish league versus the Champions League; the percentages would reveal the full picture.

A moderate-to-advanced strain in the adductor muscle takes four to eight weeks to heal. This is indeed a big blow to Galatasaray as they will not only lose the services of Victor Osimhen but also Mario Lemina. They might miss Sporting Lisbon, as well as the Super Lig games against Kocaelispor and Trabzonspor. The coach would have to make use of available players to get the required results. With the arrival of Rafael Leão, it should be a boost to the club.
Galatasaray would have to grow to the extent of not depending on a single player to get goals. Winning the UCL game is the major priority.
as they say, you don't change a team that wins, in my opinion Galatasaray didn't want to destabilize but now without Osimhen and Lemina for a month and a very hard blow. I really like Osimhen because he can dare a lot, and Leao has gigantic potential but must be hungry. Against Sporting in the champions and against Trabzonspor and Kocaelispor in the championship they have to prove that they don't depend on just one, it will be tough but it's okay.

The Turkish league is a living hell for managers. Today, two teams that exemplify this will face off...
Fenerbahçe is set to play a crucial match today. They’re in a critical position in the league. They’ve suffered two losses in their first four matches. Their manager, İsmail Kartal, resigned after the Champions League match, but the club’s management convinced him to stay on. They’re going through a completely chaotic period.
Gaziantep became the first team of the season to change managers. They fired Mirel Radoi and appointed Orhan Ak as the team’s new manager.
In an environment like this, there’s no room for quality football. I expect this match to be a bit of a boring one...
