I don't know this team called Corum Fk and they are not among the top teams in the Super Lig but I was surprised how they almost won the league Champions Galatasaray even with there red card. It wasn't an easy game for Galatasaray if not that Victor Osimhen scored a late goal it would have been a 2-1 lose for them. Though this is just the opening game sometimes football will be hard on you while sometimes too easy to win, i still believe Galatasaray will still be Champions again.

Galatasaray struggled a lot against this team, which is not a good sign, especially at the beginning of the championship, where a team like Galatasaray should certainly prove themselves better. Especially after such a small transfer market, he should demonstrate to his fans that the team is ready. But with this result, it's difficult.
These things can happen early in the league. Especially since their rivals also dropped points, Galatasaray hasn't suffered a huge loss. Only Beşiktaş won their first match and gained an advantage, but Galatasaray remains one of the biggest contenders for the championship in this long league journey. They are just starting to make transfers and we will probably hear about more transfers in a few days. Galatasaray is one of the biggest favorites for the championship in recent years. They also had a productive season in the Champions League last year.

Galatasaray is about to finish the signing of Aleksey Batrakov. He is expected to be in İstanbul at noon. Finally there is a transfer move by this team!

For once I thought we were still going to wait for the end of August.  Sad  Still we are too late for transfers though as the season has already started officially.

I really don't know why we have a this complacent president. Maybe we've won the league 4 times in a row but if we don't make the necessary transfers this season would be really difficult for us.

Galatasaray fell far behind in the transfer race, and now they've decided to make transfers, but I think they did it purely to make the fans feel good. I think they needed to sign much stronger players. Didn't they want the team to have a chance in the Champions League?
If they had made a few more transfers, they would be a contender in both the Turkish league and in Europe right now. Let's see what they can do this year Smiley
The transfer window in Turkey continues until September. They still have time, and we hear that Galatasaray is in talks with some players. Some even believe they are deliberately waiting for the European transfer market to close. Like the Osimhen transfer, they could buy or loan out players at reasonable prices after the European market closes. In my opinion, this team, which performed very well in the Champions League last year, should have completed its transfers by now. Because the deficiencies aren't everywhere. They have problems in some areas, but with transfers to address those issues, they can win the championship again this year with this squad.

Actually, it makes sense; acquiring players who are left over at the end of the transfer window at a reasonable price seems like a good strategy. However, I think it's unacceptable that a team like Galatasaray, which has been at the forefront of the championship race for years, hasn't made any transfers.
Many star players have been signed in the Turkish league now; Galatasaray should have done something just for that reason alone. I think they are making these transfers for that very reason Smiley

After watching the first week of league matches and the European qualifying matches, I can say this with certainty. Beşiktaş is the best team prepared for the league.

They haven't conceded a single goal in any of the matches they've played this season and have secured decisive victories every time. They may not have faced any top-tier teams yet, but with just a few minor additions to last year's mediocre roster, Beşiktaş has emerged as a team playing a completely different style of football. That's where the manager's touch comes into play. Despite the different mentality, Italiano has managed to instill much of what he wanted into the team in such a short time.

Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor made significant signings but they're not ready for the season at all. We've seen Galatasaray only in a league match, since they didn't have any European qualifying matches, but it's very clear they aren't ready either. Besides, they were way too late in making their signings. Batrakov arrived just today, it will take at least 2 weeks for him to be ready. They weren't able to make any other signings, if they were going to bring in players for the starting line-up, they should've moved much faster.

Today marks the second week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, and there is another Galatasaray match. Galatasaray is heading to Erzurum for an away game. Erzurumspor, coming off a defeat last week, will host Galatasaray on their home turf. Although Galatasaray dropped two points last week, I believe they will easily defeat Erzurumspor today.

Galatasaray is very lucky in one respect: they are visiting Erzurum while the weather is still good. An away game in Erzurum during December or January is like dancing on ice; Galatasaray has managed to avoid that scenario.

Beşiktaş seems a bit unlucky in this regard. They are set to play an away match against Erzurumspor on February 21st. The weather in Erzurum is freezing at that time of year; since the pitch will likely be icy, it will be a tough away game for Beşiktaş.
I don't think Galatasaray will face any trouble today. I have never seen them struggle in away games against Erzurum in the past.

I also don't think Galatasaray will drop points in the first two matches of the new season. In the first match, it was a fluke, in the second match, I hope they can play much better and win. But I'm still a little worried, because Galatasaray's last five matches were winless. Most of those matches were friendlies, but it's still concerning, as their opponents weren't particularly strong.

Galatasaray needs the 3 points and that's what they're going for. It is true that galatasaray has an advantage and higher likelihood to win this encounter against Erzurumspor, I don't see this victory (likely) as a proof for their readiness for the season. Their last game with Corum was not a good one because they narrowly secured one point despite Corum going down by one man in the 70th minute. Osimhen got a 90th minute double to share the points after scoring his first in the 53rd minute. Galatasaray deserves a better performance to be able to keep the hope among the fans. This season is going to be challenging so they should not give any chance to lose points in this early days of the league.

How did Galatasaray drop points by sheer luck? You probably didn't watch the match; Çorum FK played better football, but being reduced to 10 men really hurt them.
Galatasaray will beat Erzurumspor today. I say this not because of Galatasaray, but because Erzurumspor is very poor and their squad quality is well below Süper Lig standards.
Erzurumspor didn't make any great signings, either.
After Eyüpspor, Erzurumspor will be the second team to be relegated from this league. Their squad is very weak.

If only Galatasaray lost points again tonight...  Tongue  But I also don't think that will happen. We have all seen the way Erzurumspor played against Amed.

They had numbered goal attempts. I can't even imagine their performance against a top team in the league today. As we are still in the summer too they can't take advantage of the weather there either.

If there really was such an offer, Galatasaray would have no problem selling him for that kind of money. However, Galatasaray have not received any offers at that level.

Maybe they keep everything a secret, we'll see what happens. Of course, if there was a good offer, Galatasaray would sell him, but it's not easy. We know that in the football transfer market anything can happen even on the last day of the transfer window. We'll see what happens in these last few days of the market.

I wouldn't be surprised if Galatasaray dropped points against Erzurumspor today, after their loss to Çorum FK. These are some really tough matchups for a good start to the season, but unfortunately the team isn't ready. The current squad is insufficient, transfers have been delayed, I don't know what will happen, and even if we win today, how Galatasaray plays will be crucial. Facing Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe won't be easy for Galatasaray this season. It's terrible that they're so helpless after four consecutive championships.

Galatasaray will play its second league match today. After drawing with Çorum, they absolutely have to win this match, but I still don’t have very high expectations. It’s not that unlikely they’ll drop points two times in a row. They’ve also made a new signing, but I don’t think it will have an immediate impact on the team.

Erzurumspor is also one of the newcomers to the league, and they lost their match last week. So a win against Galatasaray is important for them as well.

It looks like Galatasaray could indeed have a difficult game away against Erzurumspor. I’ve just read about the fact that they switched to a hybrid pitch because of the harsh weather conditions, especially in winter. On top of that, playing at an altitude of around 2,000 meters above sea level can be challenging for players who aren’t used to such conditions, especially from around the 70th minute onward due to the lower oxygen levels at that altitude. However, I think the difference in class between the teams will ultimately be decisive, so I expect Galatasaray to be able to win today.

actually, Galatasaray didn't lose to Çorum but drew 2-2. although, given Galatasaray's status and the fact that Çorum played ten men for 20 minutes it could be considered a defeat for Galatasaray. I think Galatasaray will try to redeem themselves for their first round result because losing points in two consecutive matches against less-than-stellar opponents would be a complete failure. the team may not be fully ready yet but the quality of Galatasaray's players should help them win.

it’s going to be really tough for Erzurum to score against GS in open play. they’re looking terrible. unless they somehow scrape one in from a set piece by accident, i don't see it happening.
but Galatasaray is playing badly too tbh... one of their goals came off a defensive blunder and the other was from a corner.
Erzurum gets through GS’s midfield way too easily but their attackers just lack the quality to actually finish the job.

I could say Galatasaray effectively wrapped up the match in the first half alone. The scoring opened with Sallai and continued with goals from Yunus and Osimhen; Galatasaray finished the first half with a 3-0 lead in the away game.
Galatasaray might well find more goals in the second half.
I knew they had previously beaten Erzurumspor by a seven-goal margin, but that victory had taken place in Istanbul.

We have also seen that Erzurumspor is one of the weakest teams in this league. They might part ways with manager Serkan Balta in two or three matches—or perhaps even today. Erzurumspor is Türkiye's "elevator team"—constantly moving up and down between divisions. It looks like this year will be their time to go down.
Their squad simply isn't good enough for this league.

We are so comfortable against Erzurumspor man. The weather conditions are great, our competitor hasn't built a competitive squad... These all are helping us get an easy win right now.

We really needed this to improve our morale and focus. Because our opening week effort was really not satisfying. Hopefully we don't leave our remaining transfers to the last day of the window.

Otherwise we'll probably need to overspend again like last year!

imo despite the score, Galatasaray is actually the worse team on the pitch right now...
ok sure, Erzurumspor’s quality obviously isn’t enough to beat Galatasaray, that’s another matter but you can roughly see what they’re trying to play and their effort toward it.
but what on earth is Galatasaray playing right now? a team that’s going to be competing in the CL in a few weeks has no clear defense or attack... and this squad has been playing together for years.

It turned out to be a very easy match for Galatasaray; even though they didn't play offensively at all in the second half, they managed to score another goal on top of the three they netted in the first. Osimhen once again demonstrated his high quality as a player to everyone; he was involved in every goal—contributing both goals and assists.

Barış Alper Yılmaz played very poorly in the first half again; he kept falling over and couldn't stay on his feet. His passing was also quite poor. In my opinion, he needs to leave the team while his market value is still high so that the club can generate some revenue from his transfer

Galatasaray comfortably defeated Erzurumspor, finishing the match with 4 shots on target and 4 goals.
Osimhen has already reached a tally of 4 goals in just two matches.
I believe that if Osimhen stays in Türkiye and does not transfer to a team in Europe, he will reach 30 goals this season.
Erzurumspor lost both of the matches they played without scoring a single goal.
They urgently need to sign a top-level striker. While Eren Tozlu might perform well in the league below, it is impossible for him to succeed in the Trendyol Süper Lig.
Erzurumspor is in desperate need of a striker; otherwise, they will be relegated.
