Maybe this odd was given to them because of their performance in the last two UCL competitions because they were knocked out when they seemed like a club that had a chance of going further. Inter Milan are a good club but they've seemed to drop in form when it comes to UCL games. You'd see them get beaten by teams that ordinarily don't stand a chance and I'm hoping this season will be different.
Inter have a history in the competition but they have always been a difficult team to predict because their performance always fluctuates every season. For example, last season they reached the final before losing to PSG. However this is good they haven't been as strong this season. I also think changing coaches was one of their mistakes. Last season they made the Serie A team that had to leave the UCL competition first as they reached the UCL final. However they have struggled to maintain this position because their performance varies every season. What they do especially changing coaches is a significant mistake.

Inter Milan did not make their team much stronger to compete fiercely with the top European teams so I am not surprised by what happened to them in the Champions League competition, in fact I am even more pessimistic about them, especially since the standards they apply are only to compete in the Serie A competition, so of course it will be even more difficult for them to be able to compete fiercely in the Champions League.

I agree with you. I think Italian football, both club and national, has been in a crisis of play and results for a long time. The Italian national team has not qualified for the last 3 World Cups and Italian clubs have not won the Champions League for almost 20 years and this is not a coincidence but a reflection of the decline in the quality of Italian football and its lagging behind the English and Spanish leagues.
Inter's appearance in the Champions League final 2 years ago was just an exception that can't hide the long-term problems of Italian football.
This season I don't expect Italian clubs to be competitive in the Champions League.

Maybe even 20 years ago, they were really not as good as we thought they were. I mean, 20 years ago, around 2006, is when the Calciopoli sports scandal emerged, and it involved the then-successful teams in the Italian League. Even when most of them appeared to have recovered, 20 years down the road, things have never been the same again.

There are times when I thought teams like AC Milan were back into the old days of glory, only for them to disappoint.

Como deserve to be here after showcasing a brilliant performance last season. Como was playing in the second division of Italian league (Serie B) two years ago but here they are this season about to play their first champions league. Fabregas deserve that credit because he's turned this team to what they are today.

They are not a weak team (they won't make it here if they were) but champions league is a different competition. The new champions league format is very brutal that even some elites clubs find it difficult to make it out of the league phase. How far they can go will depend on the draw in the league phase.

Still, with all that competition, I think they will make the playoffs. They have a strong, young team that's a bit inexperienced, but with a few good signings, they can turn that around. No worries, though—Fàbregas knows how to manage and what he needs. He has played many games in the UCL, so he knows what it takes to make a mark here.

We are in the boring stages of the Champions League for now. In an early qualification phase... But as of the qualification playoffs things can be more fun with better teams' joining it.

We are all wondering whether PSG will manage to share the consecutive title record with Zidane's Real Madrid. 3 titles in a row... It is quite possible though if they keep up the same performance level. Other teams still don't have a solution for it.

16 years of not winning Champions League can't be overlooked despite that CL is being played every year, unlike the world cup that is is played every 4 years. And I believe the Italy men's national football team has never been overrated by individuals, as the records are there, and people are sceptical of them when it comes to preferences; this is obvious. The exception is, of course, FIFA, as usual, I don't know the modalities they are using for Italy to have a nice 15th position in FiFA ranking. They are full of disappointment.  The not-so-famous Bosnia and Herzegovina ousted them from qualifying for the world cup this year, which shows they've not improved.

The deal won’t come from just one side. All three parties are involved. Olise, for example, is eager to play for Real Madrid because he has close friends there, such as Kylian Mbappé, while his contract with Bayern still has about three years remaining. It might not happen this season, but it could happen next season when he has only two seasons left on his contract with Bayern.
Bayern is also concerned that if they don’t let him go, Olise might leave on a free transfer.
At 27, he’s still in his prime, provided his fitness isn’t hampered by injuries.
Smart managers would extend the contract of a player they don't want to leave with increased wage offers. If Bayern Munich don't want Michael Olise to leave as a free agent, they would have to extend his contract. But there is no need to rush since his contract is ending on June 30, 2029. If they can convince him to stay this season, Olise might be convinced to extend his contract.

At 27, I don't think the player is at their prime because some might begin to drop form in a few years. He is a good player, but if the offer keeps getting enticing, the club might consider letting him go.

This season I don't expect Italian clubs to be competitive in the Champions League.
There are many political scandals there that make it difficult for young Italian players to compete and the lack of playing time for young Italian players, so it is not surprising that Serie A is so far behind the English League, LaLiga, plus Italy's absence from the World Cup for three consecutive years is certainly a bad record for (FIGC) as the Italian Football Federation which is fully responsible for Italy's failure, with the appointment of Maldini and Pirlo as well as the new parastaps can bring a good impact for Italy, at least it can bring a good impact for Italian clubs to be able to compete in the Champions League of course. also as well as their national team which has been declining in quality.

It's crazy when you think about it because this isn't just any team we're talking about but Serie A winners and it's making me think that Inter are just dangerous in their league and not much of a force in Europe because for a team of their calibre to keep getting knocked out before quarter finals is embarrassing. If they don't figure out what's wrong, I think they'd keep making the same mistakes which will see them being booted out again.

Actually Serie A is and has always been a pretty strong league. The thing is, in UCL performance that kinda plays against you. Just like it's been with the English Premier League. Exhausting matches with tons of strong opponents all season then no stamina left for the final stages of the UCL.

While teams like PSG or Bayern have their local championships like a piece of cake and can focus entirely on the UCL.

Losing Mecheal Olise will be a big mistake for Bayer Munich, that’s why they don’t to let him go to Real Madrid. Olise is among of the best player of Bayern Munich, even when some are keeping saying that Olise has accepted to go Real Madrid right from there I knows that it wasn’t going to happen, because even though he agree to move to Real Madrid I don’t think that the team would let him go, since he server as their winger.

No body is irreplaceable, if for any reason Olise leaves Bayern Munich, they will get a replacement, it may take them some time to really do so well without him, but with time they will get passed all of that and become the team they still want to become. let us not forget that before Olise joined the team they were actually doing good enough to dominate the Bundesliga but not so well with other European competitions but if he exits, they will definitely find a way.

Italian football is indeed in a prolonged structural crisis. This is an undeniable fact. As you stated the Italian national team has failed to qualify for the World Cup three times, and no Italian team has ever won the Champions League. This is due to several factors including the declining quality of Serie A possibly due to financial constraints and the lack of development of young talent especially within each club's academy.

Furthermore, coaches often follow the same cycle fired from team A then the next season the same coach takes over from team B. This happens repeatedly. For example coach Allegri was fired from Milan and immediately hired by Napoli after Conte resigned. It's not impossible that Antonio Conte will coach Juventus again in the future. Furthermore, in terms of players every club never gives opportunities to young players mostly relying on older players. When young players especially local young players are not given opportunities, Italy will not have a renaissance team.

For Italy not to have qualified for the World cup for nearly two times now, it shows that the Italian League have not been producing local talent that are competitive enough. Before the English premier League and the Spanish League became what it is today, what we used to watch in those days that had football firepower was the Italian League. Then the Italian league had the likes of Gattuso, Pirlo, Luca Toni who was their top striker for the 2006 world cup, the Milito brothers and whole lots of fantastic players. As at that time the Italian league hosted lot's of Super stars, the likes of Andriy Shevchenko who was a monster then, the Brazilian Adriano, even Nigerian Obafemi Martins all had enjoyed the best of the Italian league then.

But I noticed that one of the major things that boosted the Italian league as at that time was the contribution of Silvio Berlusconi, he literally brought football back to the Italian league, and ever since he passed on, nobody has really stepped in to replace the vacuum he created.

This stage of the Champions League now is for qualifiers, these teams in this current stage are all teams that wasn’t able to qualify through direct top two or top three spot in their respective leagues, but it will end soon.

However, I don’t think PSG will win the Champions League for the third times in a row, they struggled in the last final against Arsenal, so you don’t expect an easy Champions League for them next season because other teams are preparing for the Champions League next season and Arsenal is also trying to add up some players in order to try their luck again this season.

PSG have a good squad and they also have a good squad depth that can help them to win the league and the Champions League next season, i said it last season when the Champions League start that PSG is still capable of winning the UCL and at the end they prove to the world that they are still the best club in the world, it will be very difficult to knock out PSG in the Champions League because they have a good coach that allows some of his best players to rest and use the remaining players to win the league trophy.

Breaking Real Madrid record is not safe anymore because that record will motivate PSG players to perform well, the only club that can stop PSG from breaking the record is a team that have a good performance and a team that can play with the same style as PSG because PSG knows how to change game when they want to win a game.

I don't think that Inter standard is only to compete for Seria A. Have you forgotten that Inter played with PSG last two seasons. Chivu is a new coach because Inzaghi left after that failure. He decided to win Seria A first  before he can focus on winning the Champions League. Don't forget that Chivu doesn't have much experience in UCL. With his first experience, he can do better next season.

You are right if olise should leave Bayern Munich they will actually find another replacement.

Inter Milan have not strengthened their team enough to compete with the top teams in Europe, and last season their performance in the UEFA Champions League was very poor because as far as I know they lost to Bodo Glimt in the play-offs but they were runners-up the previous season. However, their performance in the upcoming season may be even worse because we have noticed that they have sold their reliable defender Dumfries to Spanish club Real Madrid for around 20 million euros, after selling this player, Inter's defense will definitely be weakened because this player was very experienced in the Italian club.

There were different lapses from different clubs last season which affected their overall performances at different levels, some where due to internal crisis some where at the management level while others were weak squad depth or lack of a strong manager to steer the team forward. Many of these issues have been looked into by many of these clubs especially the English clubs and we are expecting changes this time around as it won’t be an easy ride for many clubs who performed well last season in this season. Champions league is normally not expected to be easy for any club as it is a competition between champions of champions of other Europe leagues who come to compete among themselves and win a single trophy.
