PSG on the other hand doesn't even need to play full time with their leaders to win most of the games in the French League.

If Man City had it as easily in the domestic league, PSG would probably still have zero UCL cups right now.
I don't agree with that exactly... We never know what would have happened in that case. Man, Luis Enrique has had an incredible game plan working smoothly. It isn't just because they have an easier domestic league.

Even if PSG were playing in the same league as Manchester City, I would still expect them as one of the biggest title contenders. Therefore we shouldn't underestimate the work Luis Enrique has done so far.
It would be wrong to say that PSG won the Champions League because they had weak opponents in the domestic league. When PSG had Messi, Neymar and Mbappe playing in the same team, PSG did not have a strong opponent in Ligue 1, so why couldn't PSG win the Champions League? Real Madrid is the strongest team in the Champions League despite having strong opponents like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, they have 15 Champions League titles at home.

However, if Manchester City and PSG played in the same domestic league, it would be wrong to give any guarantee about the team winning the title, because winning the Champions League and winning the domestic league are not the same. Winning the domestic league requires consistency against small and medium teams, while winning the Champions League requires the ability to beat strong teams. Luis Enrique won the Champions League on his own merit, while even with a star-studded team led by Christophe Galtier and Mauricio Pochettino, PSG failed to win the Champions League title. So Luis Enrique certainly deserves praise.

Bayern Munich still want Olise with them and are not ready to sell him now. Olise have shown he is a reliable player. In the last season of 32 Bundesliga appearances, Olise had scored 15 goals and 19 assists during his last Bundesliga league. This is why he’s well sought by Real Madrid but no player like Olise will be willing to leave a club he’s currently having the platform he needs and this Real Madrid is not even a reliable club for now considering how inconsistent they became losing some major and silly mistake

Olise is not leaving Bayern Munich anytime because of the club's current UCL campaign intention. It's been a while since Bayern won the Champions League, and to think of how close they were last season to going to the final, the club has decided that Olise has a significant role to play for the UCL campaign next season.

However, Yan Diamonde has made a move to Real Madrid. Meaning, there is no chance for Olise anymore.
I was also eager to see if Bayern would release Olise for another club, when they can achieve a lot with him. Real Madrid fans were all over the place with these rumors and didn't even wait for a contract completion to met/ or at least discussion of terms. Olise stays in Bayern as they also are top contenders of the champions League this season.

Yan Diamonde's move came as a shocker to me honestly. As we know, perez loves to get into terms with already established players, I don't know what difference it make btw.

There is no reason to expect Bayern Munich to disband their incredible offense trio now. Olise, Diaz and Kane all would stay this summer. They need these players to play seriously for the CL title again.

However Kane's current contract seems to be ending by next summer. They are looking for extending it lately and he also wants to do so.

Do you think Kompany can get his first CL trophy this early as a manager?  Smiley
Bayern Munich are doing very well for their self and I see them has one of the strongest teams right now and there’s a possibility that they can lift the champions league next season, but I will advise kompany not to focus more on this 3 players because if they decide to leave the club it will really affect their performance so he should build his team around all the players just like what the PSG coach is doing.
Kompany is a very good and talented coach who has been doing exceptionally well and I trust his going to build Bayern Munich more stronger.
Any team lifting the champions league next season will work very hard to achieve that because clubs are building there teams right now and is majorly because of champions league trophy.

they won the UCL two years in a row right after letting Mbappe go Smiley.
imo PSG is truly a team made up of hardworking, selfless and talented players who play for the team, not for themselves. i think they are the strongest contenders for 2027 as well.

The evolution of Paris Saint-Germain is incredible. They were seeking to be famous in the European level and in the World so they attracted many known players for incredible prices like Neymar, Mbappe and Messi in the same team, yet they didn't win anything relevant in Europe. Just after they lost all their stars, they started winning UEFA Champions League twice!
This is just to tell how sometimes teamwork is more important than individual talents when it comes to football. Obviously having a talented player will bring more advantage, but being the center of the team, will make it dysfunctional.
The amazing performance that PSG has shown in the last 2 seasons, and the great title they have won is truly incredible. This is why football is never just a game of stars, but when a team can meet all the needs in all aspects, and can play as a team with unity, only then can they become the best. PSG has not achieved the highest success in Europe despite building the best attack of the best stars like Neymar, Mbappe and Messi, but in the last two seasons, they have been the champions of the UEFA Champions League for the last 2 seasons in a row without star players through a balanced and team-oriented performance. PSG's comeback is truly incredible, let's see if they can do something incredible again in the upcoming season.

Right now, the whole story about Olise's potential move to Real Madrid appears to be over. Sky Germany, a German publication, wrote an article claiming there were no official negotiations between Real Madrid and Bayern. And the player's agent has not held any negotiations with Real Madrid either. So, it now seems clear that Harry Kane, Olise, and Diaz will all remain at Bayern Munich for the upcoming season.

I don't think Real Madrid was particularly keen on signing Olise; they signed Diomande instead.
Real Madrid already has plenty of players like Olise.
I followed Olise during the World Cup, and his biggest weakness is his finishing ability.
Real Madrid has many players capable of providing assists, but if Olise had also possessed strong finishing skills, they would have signed him.

I really expected Barcelona to sign Kane, since they lack a number 9 like him, but he ended up staying at Bayern.
Madrid "not that keen"?? They were preparing a €150 million bid. Before season's end. This guy was on Florentino's wall. Bayern's chairman literally had to go out publicly and say: not for any price, not for anything. That is all it had to do with to die.

And Olise is not giving up opportunities. He is not even GETTING into bad shooting positions. That is the difference. The guy picks his spots. Only shoots if it is good. Then it goes in, mostly.

Diomande is different. Not better, not worse. Faster, more direct. Fits what Mourinho wants specifically. It was plan B that just so happened to work out tactically. It is possible for both to be right. Madrid wanted Olise AND Diomande is actually a decent fit. Not complicated.

Real Madrid may not have been very serious about signing Michael Olise but we can say that the French player has a lot of experience and is also very good at assisting. The French player may have less finishing skills, so after considering all aspects, Real Madrid has already bought a player from RB Leipzig for 100 million euros. However, you should note that Michael Olise has made a maximum of seven assists in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Everyone has to accept that the French player Michael Olise is much more talented than the Diomande. That's right, Bayern Munich still has three of the best attacking players, so maybe they will play more seriously to win the title in the upcoming Champions League season.

That is good news for Bayern Munich since Real Madrid didn’t submit any bid to sign Olise as the rumors has it before the World Cup, this means that both the trio can still play together for yet another season, I just hope they can go far in the Champions League next season as they did last season.

Vincent Kompany should focus on defensive reinforcements, their lack of sold defense last season made them concede goals last season, they need to match their defensive quality to their attacking quality so that they can have a perfect performance next season.
With Olise not leaving the team, the Bayern Munich squad for the 2026–27 season looks very balanced. Bayern has three experienced and talented players in the forward line. We saw their performance last season as well. Vincent Kompany himself was a defensive player, so he knows very well how to organize the team's defense. Despite giving a very strong performance last season, Bayern could not achieve good results due to bad luck. But this time they will learn from the mistakes of the past. Currently, Bayern's defense is showing a lot of talented players. But talent alone does not always work in the same way. If a player's form is bad, his past history or his talent does not help him. So, I think Olise's presence has made the forwards stronger, but if the defense can avoid the previous mistakes and perform consistently this season, it will be very difficult to beat Bayern.

So Luis Enrique certainly deserves praise.
The turning point we’ve seen with PSG in the UCL did indeed come after Luis Enrique became the team’s coach. Although he didn’t immediately lead PSG to a UCL title, the team’s progress from season to season has been clear. Even though star players like Messi, Neymar, and later Mbappé have left the team, interestingly, the team actually began to show rapid improvement after Mbappé’s departure. In fact, in the very same season that Mbappé moved to Real Madrid, PSG went on to win the UCL.

In terms of strength, they’re actually on par with teams like Man City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, and others. So, even if they were in the same domestic league as Man City or Real Madrid, PSG would still be able to compete for the title in that league.

PSG have been chasing the champions league title for a long time now, ever since the Qatari sports investment take over PSG, their goal have been to win the champions league and become a dominant football club in the world. So anyone saying they won the champions league as a result of playing weak opponents in their domestic league is wrong. For sure, with the kind of investment being made in the club, they are in a very pole position to win their domestic titles for as long as possible of which they are doing it, no team in their domestic league can match them currently and PSG is not only looking at conquering the domestic league but they are more focused on winning the champions league and conquer European football.

Since Dinamo Zagreb drew 1-1 in the first leg on the road, they currently hold the advantage. They are the favorites against their opponent, Thun, and I think Dinamo Zagreb will seal the deal in the first half. Thun isn’t a team capable of eliminating Dinamo Zagreb, and frankly, in my opinion, they didn’t belong in the Champions League to begin with. I expect Dinamo Zagreb to win against their opponent, perhaps even without conceding a goal.

I don’t know if Barça can challenge for the title without a striker, a proper no.9.

Bayern Munich are not the kind of team that sells young players anyhow, especially those who always contribute to the team. They always want to keep them, and that is what even makes Bayern Munich different from other Bundesliga teams and helps them compete so well in the Champions League.Bayern Munich prefer to bring in young players rather than sell their own. When I first heard the news that Real Madrid were interested in signing Olise, I was just worried for Bayern Munich because I believed that if Olise left, it would be very possible for Bayern Munich to feel his absence because of the kind of contribution he made last season. Now that I am seeing another report that Bayern Munich is not willing to sell Olise, I also feel happy for Bayern Munich because a player like Olise will always give them a good chance of doing well in tough competitions like the Champions League.

I love it as Bayern Munich did not release Michael Olise to Real Madrid or any other club for that matter. He’s an integral part of their attacking trident and the best player of the Bundesliga last season releasing him would have been a big mistake on the part of the Germans.
Champions League football next season is going to be fiercely contested as all the heavy hitters are restocking and the others like Bayern and PSG are still packed.

Particularly the players with potential, which is what has been aiding the team because all of the players are significant contributors to the team, which is why the team is expanding so quickly. I also like how their mindset is not just focused on their home league; most of them made it to the finals last season, so this season they will perform even better. Using that kind of strategy—bringing in young players instead of selling—is not a bad idea at all, but the fact that they prefer to bring in is simply the best. And a lot of people will be watching the Bundesliga next season because many fans have fallen in love with Olise's performance. The boy is just a raw talent, and I'm not sure how long they will keep him, but eventually they won't have a choice but to sell, which I'm pretty sure won't happen right now.

Bayern Munich never showed any sign of them going to sell Micheal Oliseh to any club, it was the media that was pushing that narrative and even most of Real Madrid fans were part of those pushing for that to happen. He’s a major player in the team and selling him without a good replacement will really affect their game in both the domestics league and the champions league next season. Bayern Munich still remain a major contender for the title, I don’t think they’ll have any problems if they maintain their squad currently now without selling anyone out.

As for Barcelona, I still think they’ll can contend for the title. You don’t need a top striker to be able to win trophies if you know how to manage well the players at your disposal. Barcelona looks to me like the Spanish team, they move slowly and strike when it’s necessary. They are also amongst the major contender next season.

Olise is a great player, and that is why Bayern are still very much interested in keeping him in that team. Although, till today I haven't see any official statement from both side which is Bayern and Real Madrid about olise, I feel like it's all rumor saying this. I understand that Real Madrid is very much interested in him, but even with that I already knew Beyern munich not let Olise go, because with the way their peeformamce is right now they need player like Olise.

Fenerbahçe will travel to face Górnik Zabrze on Wednesday, and they need to come away with at least a draw.
Górnik Zabrze are not on Fenerbahçe's level. We saw that in the first leg, where Fenerbahçe completely dominated the match.
The only problem for Fenerbahçe in that game was their finishing. They created plenty of chances but managed to score only once.
I still think Fenerbahçe will win the second leg as well.

Smiley

We're yet to see inside reports about Real Madrid's bid for Michael Olise and why the deal didn't see the light of the day. From the reports I've read so far, Real Madrid were genuinely interested in the France forward bit Bayern Munich weren't just ready to let go and because both clubs already has a good relationship and mutual respect for each other, Madrid decided not to force a deal to happen.

For Yan Diomande, we've read different reports about wether the deal to sign him to Real Madrid has been signed or not. I'll wait for official statement from Real Madrid to confirm if he's really going to become a Real Madrid player this summer or not.

A player like Olise is indeed highly sought after by all other teams, especially a team that is improving its own performance, namely Real Madrid. However, because Bayern Munich still has big goals, such as winning the Champions League next season and re-establishing itself in the Bundesliga, Munich will clearly try to keep Olise if his contract is still valid. However, if his contract expires and the team hasn't extended it, other teams, like Real Madrid, will certainly try to make offers for Olise, as he is a player who has great potential to improve the team's performance.

It would have being better done last season than this season.
Luis Enrique would be out there looking for his third, just to do like Real Madrid did when Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, Casimero, Marcelo and the rest of them still played at the team.
Now, Mbappe, Vinicius, Jude Bellingham and a good number of the lads on the team with special one Mourinho to manage the club would be looking to make their mark by winning it.

Bayern Munich still is a good team but, this season might be even the more difficult and we haven’t considered Arsenal in all this.

Arsenal's intention to win the Champions League will be made very clear if they are able to complete the signing of Vinicius Junior because based on his experience and his mentality, he could be very critical for Arsenal as they try to ensure that next season's campaign in the Champions League will be recorded its success. With the attacking front of Vinicius junior, Victor Gyokores and then Saka, I imagine that any defense that is coming up against them would afraid because of what they are coming up against and because of how even when those players do not score, they will be able to create chances for others because of the number of defenders that they normally attract. I think Arsenal is still serious aout the Chamions League.
