It could be beginners luck and in the Champions League it is very possible that the team that starts out well, does not continue well, it is not about demonstrating quality once, it is about maintaining that quality that you have shown and improving from there. I was actually quite surprised that Shakhtar Donetsk are able to hold on upon PSV Eindhoven to a draw for earning a crucial away point at the final whistle. Shakhtar Donetsk played a tough game yesterday and they received yellow cards while PSV Eindhoven was 3 yellow card. I wanted to bet PSV Eindhoven to win the match but when I looked at the match, I decided to leave it and only for me to check back and see that they drew the match. Shakhtar Donetsk was not a match to PSV Eindhoven to defeat but football is not always come out the way we wanted and it is a game of unpredictable.

I wish Fenerbahçe managed to win yesterday. They joined the tournament after 18 years and wanted to start with a win. I can't say their performance was great in general. But especially in the 2nd half there were some really big chances missed.

This is my first time to hear about this team Sabah Baku I even wonder what they are doing in the UEFA Champions league, i think the excitement among Manchester United fans is because they already know that Sabah Baku can't play against them, it will even be something of shame for a team like Manchester United to struggle against this underdogs team. The result am seeing now isn't even enough i was expecting 5-0 already but i believe before the end of the game it will either be a 5-0 win or more.

This is my first time of hearing Sabah Baku as well, they are in the champions league to compete with other teams because they are the team that qualified to the champions league from their league, i am not even sure the excitement among Manchester United fans was because they knew that Sabah Baku cannot play against them but rather the excitement could be powered by their return to the champions league after staying for some years without playing in the champions league. Even as Manchester United did not score more goals and won Sabah Baku 4:0 i am okay with the result.

Manchester United managed to keep 4-0 lead in the first match of the Champions League due to a weak opponent Sabah Club. Michael Carrick is trying but it is not enough because the team has lost 1 out of 3 matches in the Premier League and drawn another match, although they won the match against weak team Ipswich by 5-2 goals. Yet the fans expect a lot more from the team. In the next match of the Premier League, they will play against Manchester City and City will go on the field as favorites in that match. Carrick is preparing for that match but the fans cannot have much confidence in his squad. The team is trying to maintain their old tradition but in reality they are far from the possibility of winning the Champions League trophy.

I really didn't expect them to perform so well on their debut.. COMO played so neatly and disciplined, like they were already used to playing in the Champions League.. even the new players were able to perform amazingly and score goals in their first Champions League appearance.. it's so great to see their debut in the Champions League be so impressive, especially in front of their fans who have long been waiting for their team to perform at the highest level of European football, and to be able to deliver a performance like this right from the start makes it even more special.. I’m looking forward to what they’ll show in their match against Feyenoord later.

How did Bodo fight hard when they couldn't even score a consolidation goal to show that they're not totally weak. No doubt, that Bayern is an elite club but Bodo shouldnt have accepted such huge humiliation.

I will not rate any team now, because at the end they got defeated and knocked out of the Champions League, we rated Bayern Munich last season as if they are going to win the UCL and at the end they played against PSG as a team that did not know how to play, after the game Bayern Munich against Real Madrid, i said that the reason why Bayern Munich won the game is because of the red card Camavinga got in the game, and also the absence of Tchoumeni in the game, Real Madrid played well and wanted to do the come back or control the game to penalty shootout but Camavinga got and red card and spoiled everything.

Whether you hype Bayern Munich or not, it won't determine what will happen in their matches. Last season, Bayern Munich didn't perform badly because they reached the semi finals before they got kicked out by PSG. You should even hype Bayern Munich more this season because they're still doing what they know how to do best. Imagine a match they played draw at halftime, just for them to come back for second half and scored 5 goals to same team that was very stubborn to some big teams last season.
        I know that players like Harry Kane and Michael Olise are eager to win the Champions League so they will never relent in their chase for the the UCL title. Bayern Munich is one of the teams that has built a great squad, thanks to Vincent Kompany for doing a great job.

We managed to secure a point, even though we didn't play particularly well. In fact, two clear-cut chances stand out in my mind; had we converted them, we would have started the league campaign with three points.

I wonder if the Roma players were affected by our tifo display.
I haven't seen any other tifo displays in other matches (or at least, I didn't see them if they did happen).

In my opinion, Gasperini underestimated Fenerbahçe. He thought they would easily defeat the team, but towards the end of the match, he realized that Fenerbahçe was no pushover.
He was very indecisive when it came time to make substitutions late in the game; he called one player over, changed his mind, and then called for another.
I interpret this behavior as a sign that he was taken aback and didn't know what to do.
Fenerbahçe defended well as a unit on the pitch. Malen, who had been scoring goals in recent weeks, was unable to make any impact in this match. Fenerbahçe may not have played particularly well, but they prevented Roma from securing a victory through good play.
