There is no room for ignoring any team. The team you are not considering today may be the one who will win the trophy by showing a great performance at the last minute. I saw PSG team last season, they did not start well at all but they gradually became stronger. Not only UCL but every tournament can have unexpected results. The teams that you are trying to keep ahead in terms of probability and are betting on may not be able to maintain their energy in the latter part of the tournament.
You are right when you said that no team should be ignored because it is football and teams can sprout up surprises anytime, however, we can’t take out statistics from football, most people’s predictions for who will win the champions league will definitely be based on current statistics, that is why teams like PSG, Arsenal etc will remain the favorites in most predictions because of statistics, luck definitely comes into play at times but statistic still stands out.

I don’t think Arsenal should be considered one of the favorites to win the Champions League because, as far as I know, they’ve never won it. The fact that they reached the final last season was more of an exception, in my opinion. As for PSG, they’ve already won the Champions League twice in a row, and that already seems incredible, I can’t see them winning it three times in a row. So for me, it comes down to either Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, or Barcelona, I think it will be one of those three. Maybe I’d also add City, but they’re already facing the threat of fines and suspensions, and I think that could have a negative impact on them.

What? Real Madrid? You're making me laugh, lol. With Real Madrid's current form, do you think they can win the Champions League now? They can't survive in their domestic league, let alone the Champions League. Just because PSG have won the last two, does that mean they can't win 3 consecutive titles? They definitely can, if Real Madrid face PSG, Madrid won't survive there, if Real Madrid face Bayern Munich, they won't survive there, and even with Madrid's current form, they won't survive against Barcelona. I don't think Madrid has a chance of winning the Champions League. Compared to them, other teams are much stronger now. Arsenal, PSG, Bayern Munich, and Man City are currently far ahead of Madrid. It doesn't seem like Madrid will be able to win the title with their current situation after defeating these teams.

The fact that Arsenal went to finals last season and could not win it doesn't mean they can not win it again that is not correct, they were not lucky enough else they would have won the champions league last season and with their performance I put them among the favorite in the champions league and the reason I won't consider Paris Saint Germain anymore is because of the fact that they have dropped form, their performance this season so far is very poor to win the champions league but if things change for them then it is cool.

I don't think seriousness is tied to the fact that Barcelona is scoring a handful of goal in there matches, thats not it. Every team is seriously involved and want to win. It's just one match, and it wasn't only Barcelona that won. So many other teams won. So it's still all 3 points and counting.

Meanwhile, we can't deny the fact that Barcelona is in the peak of a credible performance recently as they are demolishing there opponents with enough goals. However, they are still going to fight for a possible win all through the competition and probably the finals. PSG is a good threat, there are also other teams who can challenge them. Let's see how far they can go in this there wonderful form.

Barcelona tend to play a very balanced and dominant game. However, when their dominance is taken away, they tend to go a bit haywire, and that's what the teams facing them will have to rely on, especially in the Champions League, because in the Spanish league, it becomes much more difficult for other teams to wrest the ball away from the Blaugrana and seize possession.

From what I've read online, the Barcelona striker's injury is thought to be a minor case of muscle swelling, so it should clear up quickly. He'll most likely be available for selection for the next match. His return to Barcelona was purely a precautionary measure and not because it was a serious injury.
That's what I've read, and the reports should be accurate, or at least I hope so

In fact, the decision to send him back to Barcelona early as a precaution seems right to me, so that he can be monitored by the club's doctors so he can be available for Barcelona's next match and so he can get back to doing what he does best, what he's done well in recent seasons.

Laugh as much as you like, but answer my question, does Real Madrid have to dominate domestically to perform outstandingly in the UCL?

UCL results

In 2015/16, Madrid won the title.
In 2016/17, Madrid won it again.
And in 2017/18, they won it for the third time in a row.

Meanwhile, their La Liga finishes were

2015/16 runner up
2016/17 1st place
2017/18 3rd place

So I think your argument is underestimating Real Madrid a bit too much while completely forgetting their history. Madrid literally won the UCL three years in a row despite not dominating La Liga in all three of those seasons.

The UCL is a competition where even a team that looks weaker or gets overlooked can still end up winning the trophy. We saw that two seasons ago when most of the attention was on Liverpool, Bayern and Real Madrid, but PSG ended up winning the title instead.

Every team that comes to play in the Champions League is serious, but the top eight teams are much more serious. They do not want to give up their place in any way. Even though Barcelona can be very optimistic in other leagues, every team in the Champions League can be a big threat. In the Champions League, you should not try to keep Barcelona above only by considering other teams as weak. PSG, Bayern are always the top team clubs, so everyone talks about them. But United, City, Como, Aston Villa, Betis, Arsenal should not be forgotten at all. They will definitely prepare themselves and start fighting very soon. You can choose any team from the beginning, but without understanding the real situation, you cannot be called the winner of the tournament from the beginning. Because the pressure of the Champions League is much higher than any other league. It is difficult for even the best teams to handle this pressure.

I'd call this the beauty of the Champions League, where nothing is guaranteed.

All the teams competing are there to win and will all aim to give their best to secure the result.
This makes the Champions League the most coveted tournament for the various teams in the various leagues.

I also believe that sending him to Barcelona is the right decision, as the club's doctors are best equipped to handle his treatment and monitoring. When a player gets injured, I think the team doctor is the one who knows him best for a nice player like Raphinha, the Barcelona doctors will certainly manage the recovery process with greater care.

He is actually saying the truth. No team come close to Barca and PSG this season. Bayern Munich is close but not in that level. Attacking wise they are the best team in Europe. Barca has the best attack, PSG have both attack midfield and defense.

Arsenal is also one of the best team in Europe. However the attack is still the problem. The attack lack quality player unlike the midfield with lots of quality. I trust them to reach the Champions league final and this time win the final.

There are many teams that have raised the bar this year, such as Bayern Munich with its consistently disruptive attack, Arsenal, a very well-prepared team but still unable to score many goals, Paris Saint-Germain, who started the season poorly but are recovering, and a Barcelona in splendid form that is undoubtedly becoming one of the most difficult rivals to face.

How can you be sure now that PSG will not win the title? PSG looked exactly like this in the last two seasons, they were not favourites to win the Champions League at the beginning of the season. But towards the end of the season they became so unstoppable that no team could stop them. Until they are eliminated from the Champions League this season, I cannot be sure.

Barcelona looked favourites for the Champions League in the last two seasons, but it is very painful that they have suffered such a defeat. They seem to be favourites this season, but it is doubtful whether they will be able to maintain this form in the end. We do not even know how they will perform against the big teams.
You are right. Paris Saint-German was like this last two seasons ago and no-one see them as favourite to win the champions league but at the end they still won the champions league back to back. However, if you check this season plenty of teams has upgraded their squad, that will even make the champions league more difficult this time, and i am not sure is going to be business as usual for Paris Saint-German this season. I think with the players Barcelona bought this season they have been able to solve the problem why they could not win champions league in the last two seasons, so i am seeing them as the most favoured to win the champions league this season.

Champions league is a difficult competition you cannot win by luck. For any team to win the champions league the team must be serious and put in great efforts before they can defeat great teams and win the champions league. So if Nottingham Forest qualify for the champions league and win it, it is not luck but rather the efforts they put in. In the last season champions league, if we are to say the team that comes close to Paris Saint-German, it is not even Barcelona but rather it is Bayern Munich, which were knocked out by Paris Saint-German in the semi finals.

I don't think you can really talk about luck in the Champions League, because luck can certainly make the difference in some situations, but when a team truly deserves the Champions League, they always end up winning it, like Paris Saint-Germain last year, who showed tooth and nail that they wanted to win it and ultimately succeeded.

Forest isn't in a good form for me to say that they are capable of winning UCL. They wouldn't even go far. Any club that wins UCL is the best in Europe that season because if you are not the best, you cannot win the Champions League. Luck cannot take you there because it's reality and not gambling.

PSG is still the best so far, for two seasons and if no team can outshine them, they will definitely win it again for the third time.

However, i can't see Paris Saint-Germain as champions for the third time in a row, because there are many teams that have strengthened and that i prefer today and that i also see with better lineups than Paris Saint-Germain. They are certainly a team that can easily aspire to the final and even win it, but this year i am not convinced. Wink

There are teams this year that have strengthened their squads more effectively and are in better form. Barcelona has been the most notable among them. In my opinion, Barcelona has a serious chance of winning the title this year. PSG, on the other hand, did not get off to a good start in the French league 1 if they carry those struggles from the domestic league over to the Champions League, they will face a significant fixture disadvantage.

The possibility is always there, even if the start of the season Madrid look not too good but the season is still very long and there are still many opportunities to improve performance.

We even doubted PSG last season to go back to back just because in the league phase they didn't do well and had to do the play-off Phase first even though they were the defending champions but in the end they won back to back for the Champions League. From this alone we already know nothing is impossible as long as the season continues.

Some big clubs will always be favourites as well as Madrid although the start of the season looks doubtful but no one will know how their performance in the middle of the season and the end of the season so the chance is still there.

From the odds of the bookies also still make Madrid as one of the leading favorites. We are still just the first game in the Champions League should the chance is still very big to happen even though the competition may not be too easy.

apart from barca, no other team comes close to PSG in the way they take the champions league seriously not even the most talked about real Madrid.
The season is still very long as well as for the Champions League especially we only just did the first match so when talking about the readiness of the beginning of the season now Barcelona and PSG are still very good but we know the Champions League is always different in the league phase and the knock out phase.

Clubs that looked ready in the league phase were sometimes not so impressive in the knock out phase and in those 2 seasons the situation was almost the same. 2 last season we saw Liverpool's dominance in the league phase but could not do anything in the knock out phase, last season was also almost the same although Arsenal defended but the results were not too much different.

From this situation we can conclude one thing although for the probability of some clubs subscription is always a favorite but the league phase sometimes can not be the initial benchmark because in the drawing and knock out phase everything can change due to several factors so in this case when we talk readiness all clubs have prepared but sometimes the performance depends on how the chemistry and internal problems.

Without a doubt, they are two of the most deserving teams and will probably manage to reach a very advanced stage of the competition, even if this year i see Barcelona as the favorite over Paris Saint-Germain due to a certain completeness at the team level and a very well-structured game.

In my opinion, Arsenal isn’t one of the favorite teams to win the Champions League this season. I think other teams have known their weaknesses, Arsenal will lose more games this season than they did last season. I don’t have any confidence in their performance this season, Arsenal from last season would score more than one goal against Napoli, despite the fact that they were playing away from home. But they managed to get one goal, unlike the last season.

Of course, PSG are not winning the Champions League again this season, anything can happen in football, but they don’t have the same quality of winning the Champions league. Real Madrid on the other hand, I don’t think they have the strength to win to win the Champions League, they look disappointing when it comes to the Champions League, but let’s see how the season goes.

But it is certain that this season will be much more aggressive than the previous seasons. They will not leave any team behind and will try to compete with their maximum. PSG is at the top of the table with the highest goals scored so far. And looking at their game, it seems that PSG is most focused on the Champions League instead of other leagues. So they will perform at their maximum against Barcelona. But Barcelona has prepared themselves in such a way this year that they can easily keep the opponent under pressure. And Barcelona celebrates high-pressure matches a lot. If PSG cannot be consistent, Barcelona can stop them at any time. I see the possibility of winning the season only with Barcelona.

If Barcelona is doing well in laliga that does not mean they they will win the champions league trophy. Barcelona is among the best performing team in champions league but the league is very much unpredicted. I think Manchester City is in the list of favourites that have  chances of winning the champions league this season and their are other teams too that are doing well too. The competition this season will be very tense because many clubs have hsve improved in their performance this season.

Would you have said the same for Real Madrid several years ago when they won the Champions League trophy three times in a row? Just because they’ve won it twice doesn’t mean that they can’t win it the third time. They are one of the favourites for the trophy including Arsenal also. Only one match has been played in the Champions League game so far this season, I am expecting that we shall be seeing more of every team’s real form in the coming games, we can better tell which team has the best chance for the title. As it is now, the statistics favours the defending champions and the first runner up in the competition, so unless they prove otherwise according to their performance can we see them less of whom they are and what they stand to achieve this season.
