Yes, I completely agree with you, because personally I don't think that I can be happy in a marriage where there is not single atom of love. If my partner has money and can give me all that I need, and he does not love me, but his heart belongs to another woman, I would not be happy in that marriage and the same goes to me.
If I don't love my partner whatever he does will irritate me. I always hear people say money buys happiness but I don't know how true that sentence is. When two partners truly love and care for each other, whenever they are having a disagreements, there is generally this desire of trying to understand each other points and trying their possible best to resolve issues.
However, without this feeling, even minor issues can become very irritating and frustrating to handle. Yes, no one is disagreeing that financial stability is not important, but that doesn't take the place of real love and emotional bonding.
It's a fact that if you're with someone, it's because you like and love them. That's why you put up with all their flaws, mistakes, and everything else that comes with them. It's not easy because you never truly know your partner. In fact, I have a friend who's much older than me, and he told me, "You'll only really know your wife when you're getting divorced." And I thought, "Wow, I don't think that'll ever happen." However, I can't always be naive.
But he's speaking from his own experience. And although in social circles, having friends or more commonly, women's friends I've seen mostly women who have had bad experiences wish that our wives would have the same fate. My wife's friendships were so toxic that she cut them out herself.
And there are always financial problems, but if she or I have money, we don't hesitate to share it and spend it in the best way for our family. I think that's what we're aiming for, right? In fact, financial problems shouldn't exist in the world because that's what ruins the system: producing unhappiness.
