One of the major problem of underdeveloped countries is the kind of leader they put in power. A good leader is very important in developing a nation,  but in the case of underdeveloped nation,  they have bad government that don't care about the people or even try to develop the state rather they are more interested in enriching themselves and their families and this has been a major problem for these nations. Underdeveloped nations mostly have greedy leaders,  despite all the resources that these nations have, they still remain poor and underdeveloped, while the politicians are getting rich on the expense of the people. It is such a pity that the people can't even do anything to safe themselves from this leaders.

Underdeveloped countries will remain underdeveloped if they fail to do what is expected of them to do. It's takes a good leadership to develop a country not a selfish leader, voters today know who is here to develop their country but access them by the pocket not experienced they acquired at pass, because whenever people are ready to develop their country they have join hands in speak in voice, looks into pass experience of whoever wants to contest their passed, like their track record and manifestation, someone that will be there to tackle what the societies are facing not the contestants that will only enrich their selves. But today many people don't put all these into consideration rather someone that will share money or someone that is from the same tribe with them and many more.

There's much to fight about on the issue of underdevelopment in the LDCs and the discourse on the citizens uniting to vote in a good leader is rather secondary to the discussion of development than it's taken to be primary cause of the problem of underdevelopment, particularly in the African continent for example. The imperial interventionists in the political and economic dynamics and policies formulation in these countries are more weightier to it cause of underdevelopment than just the citizens been smoked screened to believe that it's because they haven't united to vote in a good leader.

How many of these leaders in these underdeveloped worlds who are dancing to the drum beats of the imperialists that has being attacked or accosted despite how corrupt and bad they are with the governance of their country? But try be the nice guy to your country and stubborn guy to the foreign powers and see how they manufacture ways to truncate the government by making situations difficult for your administration. All this points to the natural resources in these LDCs, most of them are naturally blessed with much rare earth materials that the first world think they deserve to be in control of for supplies to their technological developments.

When incompetence become the order of the day what do such expect from those in power, when good leaders come into power there decisions and policies will help in developing a country, when you look at those countries that has not tasted good leadership, it is easy to know, we have many of them in African not that the countries are lacking resources for development but because the leaders prioritize embezzlement of public funds to developing the country they are leading, in most African countries, what we have are criminals not leaders and of course criminals will mainly be concerned about themselves every other person should survive if they can, it is so disturbing to see all these things happening in many underdeveloped countries.

Sometimes we should blame those who are highly in charge of so many important positions in a country for the lack of economic growth of a country, they know how to make things work for the country to come out of hardship but they choose instead to enlarge their pockets than see what can help the people. For me no country are meant to be underdeveloped in any way, everything is already given to a particular set of people to live a more better lives but the greed and evil behavior of men could not allow them to make the rich of the country to be know. All these things are always happening when a set of individuals are the ones to discover how to control the resources of that particular country and they have to trust them to do the right thing which will only end badly for everybody.

It is easier to say that no country should be underdeveloped I mean it is a good thing if that can be possible but the truth is that the power is not in your hands though some countries have the necessarily resources that could transform the country in to a developed country but becomes backward as a result of bad governance from the leadership of the country while some other countries may likely not have the resources in their present time to be become developed and the citizens may likely not know this and overly put the blames on the leadership of their country, I agree with you if all things were to be equal no country should be actually be underdeveloped as no one can forbid good things of life and in aboudance.

The resources are there to be used for the development of a particular country that isn't developed but again I see it as a shift of major power, like those who colonized a country that isn't developed may be the ones calling the shorts whereas the leaders of that particular country can not act against when the superior gives the order, that is how I see it and when this backwardness start happening in not showing concerns in developing the country it gets into the heads of the leaders to keep forgetting what they are suppose to do for their country by focusing more on eating the money and expanding their pockets and it also makes them to stick with making useless decisions with their resources, that is where we place the leaders as bad government but little did we know that their actions was influenced by those who colonized the country, that is how I see it.

Corruption certainly plays a major role in holding many countries back, especially when public resources that should be invested in infrastructure, education, healthcare and economic development are diverted for personal gain.

Indeed. Good leadership and good governance can do wonders. Just look at where Singapore was and where it stands today. Much of its transformation can be attributed to having a patriotic and visionary leader. Yes, I'm talking about Lee Kuan Yew! He transformed Singapore from a poor, resource-scarce nation into one of the world's leading economies. A country where many of the biggest companies are eager to establish a presence.

It's frustrating to see nations with immense natural and human resources struggle while a small group benefits disproportionately, in addition to corruption, w have weak institutions, poor governance structures, historical challenges, conflict and sometimes external economic pressures can all contribute to underdevelopment of a country.

This is why sometimes I feel a good dictator is better than a foolish democracy. I'm not advocating for dictatorship by any means, knowing what's happening in North Korea but at least with a dictator, there is a vision and corruption stops, or at least stops at the grassroots level.

In Africa there are countries that are rich in natural resource like Sierra Leone which is famous for its diamond deposits but its still one of poorest country of the world. The reason why Sierra Leone and few other such countries of Africa are poor is because the big powers want to control their natural resource. For this reason they first create civil war in such countries and then send their troops under the cover of UN peace keeping mission. This is also one of sad reality of modern world that countries that talk too much about human rights and equality are also involved in abusing these rights for their own interest.

I, too, am always utterly amazed by the greed of officials. They steal enormous amounts of money that should be used to repair roads and housing, as well as schools and hospitals. But they have no conscience, and these officials steal this money and build villas for themselves in Spain and Italy, and send their children to study in England. After all, they see no prospects here. And I am always amazed how ordinary people can be considered such a dull, senseless mass that they do such things. I hope that in the country where I live, a stern hand will one day take hold of them and return everything that has been stolen over decades and taken from ordinary people.

Underdeveloped countries remain underdeveloped by so many factors: bad government, selfishness (greed), over-reliance on foreign aids, not being productive that is (import over export), high illiteracy, lack of technology, poor education, etc.

Living in an undeveloped country can make it really difficult to get ahead, even when you’re doing your best. High unemployment, poor healthcare, bad roads etc. A lot of hard work people still struggle not because they’re lazy but because the system doesn’t always give them the  chance to grow.
It can be difficult to start to grow a business when the economy is unstable. That’s why many people focus on learning new skills, building the right connections and creating opportunities for themselves instead of waiting for things to get better.

‎The level of Corruption in African countries can't be measured. My country has lots of valuable resources in abundance yet the citizens are still finding it difficult to survive. Whereas the Government are the ones enjoying the benefits of those resources. These  leaders only care about themselves and what enters their Pocket, they care about the welfare of the people who voted them into power. They always feel above everyone, it's not their fault though, because the blame of the situation should also be put in we citizens, because most of us are easily swayed by the fake promises these leaders tells us. Simple question - who gives these rulers the POWER ? If it is not a totalitarian state, then it is the people who choose such power, which uses it exclusively for their own benefit. There is a very good example: Singapore, read its history, the history of its radical changes, and compare what Singapore was 60 years ago and now !

Have we forgot that the government are the people and the people are also the government? That's not what I am seeing in my own country, what's been displayed over here among thee public is exactly what's happening in the government.

It's like everyone is infected with the same thing and if possible greed, people don't care about where money comes from, and the reward is accepting nonsense, trying to accept a black color as white.

When you start having a good life all thanks to a corrupted government, you are meant to do their bidding too, when a better government is about to take over you will fight for that dirty spoon that feeds you, this is the major problem I feared the most.

When I first became seriously interested in the US economy and similar economies, I realized how wonderful they are. This economy is an incredibly perfect mechanism, like a scale, where every movement is meaningful and clearly determined. In the country where I live, the economy is already quite good because the government isn't a drunkard, but educated people, although there's still room for improvement.

But in small countries with dictators, the economy is meaningless because everything is built around the will of one person and their greed, and it doesn't resemble a unified mechanism that strives for stability and constant improvement.

Living in such conditions, in a developing country and also during a long war, I come to the conclusion that no matter how much one wants to blame the government and the external enemy for everything, the citizens themselves contribute no less to such living conditions. Yes, but here there is also the moment that poor countries usually do not cope with the management of their resources on their own. This is so true. Most countries classified as poor countries have abundant natural resources that will make them rich. They have oil, diamonds, cash crops, etc.
