Man City should thank their stars they came out of the Porto game with all 3 points despite the sluggish display. But seriously, this current City squad are just not what we are used to, the era of vintage Pep machinery is gone and I guess we have to come to accept the Maresca era no matter the style of display. At the moment, City is undergoing a phase of transition and has it stands they rely heavily on Erling Haaland's individual brilliance to push them through difficult games.

Porto won the league ahead of Sporting CP last season. The Champions remain the best team in the league. I watched Porto vs Manchester City. Porto didn't play badly. Manchester City were better than them. That's why Manchester City won. Manchester City doesn't look sharp in the Premier League. They look sharp in the Champions League and other competitions. Manchester City will challenge Arsenal in the title race. With the squad they have its too early to say they don't look sharp.

If only FC Porto can remain focused and not try to underrate Casa Pia then they will secure the maximum 3 points in the game. Why I’m saying this is because matches like this are always a tricky game which requires the players to be focused. Casa Pia might not be able to win any game yet but they can still decide to give their All in this game and cause an upset for FC Porto who might be underrating them because they feel it’s an easy win for them. I think just last season in this kind of fixture casa Pia at home won Fc Porto 2:1, so they should be weary of that also not to repeat itself.

Sporting were the best team in the league for 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons but for last season Porto were the best team, and Porto looks like they would be the best team this season aswell with their performance, you should know that teams in Portugal league, it is not easy for them to defeat top premier league teams when they play against each other in the champions league, even if it were Sporting that Manchester City played against, Sporting would have conceded defeat against Manchester City.

At that moment, I thought, "What kind of bad luck is this?" and got a bit worried. But a few minutes later, Porto scored, which put me at ease; I immediately thought, "They're going to score more goals"—and I was right. With this win, Porto maintains the lead.

SL Benfica - Gil Vicente

This is another match I included in my parlay, though I’m a bit nervous about it. Benfica plays well at home, and Gil Vicente hasn't won in their last two games, so I backed Benfica though I'm still not entirely at ease. I hope Benfica wins and doesn't ruin my parlay. I'm talking of this very season and in the champions League, in that match, it easy to notice the blunders from Manchester City themselves that Porto would have taken advantage of. They played like some amateurs against professionals, that's exactly what I watched. If Manchester City put up that silly performance against any serious team, they will definitely punished. There were situations were were the defence was open several times and Porto couldn't seize the moment, getting to the final third of City goalpost was like a problem to them. I still insist, Sporting would have been a more worthy opponent to City than what Porto displayed.

Benfica is tied 1-1 with Gil Vicente at halftime. notably, Benfica like Porto in their own match conceded the opening goal. it is interesting that at the break bookmakers were offering odds of 1.25 for a Benfica win indicating high confidence in the home team's victory. Benfica hold a significant advantage but have yet to take the lead, though I believe they will eventually break Gil Vicente down and secure their three points.

for the parlay choosing the "X2" option for the Famalicão vs. Sporting match was the right decision. those interested could have placed a single bet on Sporting win, as the odds were already quite good.

nevertheless, it is worth noting that Famalicão caused a minor upset by taking points off Sporting. the more renowned team had advantage and could well have avoided dropping points in this match. personally, I thought Sporting would hold on for the win after scoring from the penalty spot in the 81st minute, especially since a Famalicão player was sent off for a rough tackle in the 87th minute. however, an own goal in the 91st minute proved to be a gift for Famalicão. Sporting still had four or five minutes left and even a chance to snatch a victory but they failed.

Even playing away, Sporting is much stronger,  I thought they’d have no trouble winning that game

I actually doubted that Sporting would fail to win that match, but in the end, I was left dumbfounded when I saw the final score, just 1 - 1. A result I truly hadn't imagined before. I see that you guessed 7 out of 9 correctly, there are 2 left, Real Madrid match & then Barcelona. In my opinion, those two teams were sure bets. Famalicão held Sporting to a draw, the second time this season Sporting has dropped points as I checked their table, while Porto is on a clean slate. They are proving why they are the champions of the league. Porto is a strong team, they haven't scored as much goals as Sporting but they are winning which is the most important thing. I was surprised to see this score because in the first half while I was checking random scores, I noticed Sporting had already scored, probably VAR cancelled it because they scored another goal late into the game before Famalicão scored at injury time. When I saw 1:1 at fulltime, that's when it became clear that goal in the first half was cancelled that's why it isn't recorded.
