But what Paredes did was really embarrassing because it happened after the match and there was no trigger. If the fight happened because of a hard foul during the game and Paredes or his teammates got really angry, that would still be understandable.

Is there any point crying over a split milk? No. So why worsen your situation out of emotional out pour? I strongly believe that he has been playing several games before now and have been meeting defeats. Being a world cup final makes it more important to be very professional in all your actions. Letting him go unpunished will be a dent to the image of the football biggest stage. I couldn't believe such animal behaviour and the verdict serves him right. This will deter other of such behaviour among other players. But I was never expecting up to 10 match ban, thought it was all going to be a 3 match ban but the situation warrants more. Exactly. Back in Pelé's day, football was practically amateur. The teams were terrible, the physical conditioning was bad, and tactical systems were virtually non-existent. I mentioned their first Ballon d'or awards because they both are well known to win Ballon d'Or after their very first season on elite level.

For Messi it was the first season where he managed to score more than 18 goals in all competitions per season (LOL).

So no, the years when they started playing on top level I mentioned were accurate, they just coincidentally happened to be the same years they won the awards.

I don't support Paredes' behavior. Especially from an experienced player like him, such behavior has really disappointed our fans. But you say there was no trigger for Paredes' behavior, which I object to. If you look at FIFA's decision, it doesn't seem so one-sided.
