We have seen a lot from teams that qualified for the FIFA world cup competition, a lot happened that made some teams people thought they will be the ones to play the final dropped out before the final match, based on what Morocco displayed in that FIFA world cup to represent Africa, I think their government will stand on their ground to host this 2030 FIFA world cup competition because they have talented squads that will make their dream and their coach dream to come to reality which is their desire come 2030 FIFA world cup competition.

It's really sad to see Brazil not being able to build up a strong squad these days. Even Ancelotti couldn't find better options than these in the 2026 World Cup.

Honestly I would say there are only numbered players who are really qualified. I remember that golden age in Brazil. Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and so on... Since those times I can't see them that strong.  Sad

Football has also changed since then of course but anyways... In 2030 World Cup maybe Ancelotti could be more successful though.

I feel the same way about Brazil as you do.
I'm old enough to remember their team from the 1982 World Cup in Spain, Zico, Socrates, etc., what virtuosos they were.
However, even though they played football for fun and everyone loved watching them, they lost to Italy 3-2 because in all that fun and attacking football they forgot to play defense.
I think Brazil learned a lesson from that because they were much more successful in the World Cups after that, and won it twice, in 1994 and again in 2002 with another final in 1998.
After that, Brazil never had a single good result in the World Cup, not even a single final, and they have been waiting for the title since 2002, a long 24 years.
On the other hand, their neighbors Argentina have played in the final 3 times in the last 4 World Cups and were world champions in 2022.
It's obvious that Brazilian football is in a big crisis, now Neymar has also said goodbye to the national team and I don't see any new big names and stars who can return Brazil to the "old paths of glory".
Even Ancelotti can't achieve results if he does not have a quality team that can realize his plans on the field.
At the next World Cup, in 2030, Brazil will certainly not be among the favorites for the title, but Argentina will not be without Messi either.
I think that Spain, at home, will have a great chance to become the first team since Brazil in 1962 to defend the world title.

Sad to hear the death announcement of Lionel Messi's dad Jorge. Although the sickness was not disclosed but it was confirmed he died of health related complications at the age of 68. I also read how he was ever in support of his son including how he went to the Qatar 2022 World Cup championship to see and support his son in achieving his dreams which is winning the World Cup title for the first time in his career and making it the third time for the national team. I guess he could not do much of such this time around. It is also possible during the period when Messi was putting all those efforts we saw outside, he was also dealing with the illness from his dad, which eventually led to his father’s death. My sincere condolences to Messi and his family.

Yes it was a sad announcement but we knew he was ill. Jorge has always supported his son Lionel Messi and has always rejoiced with him for his achievements. Maybe Messi would have liked to win the World Cup for his father to give him great joy once again. Messi played knowing that it could happen, he was great, he gave his best.

Morocco will no longer have to fight for the right to host the 2030 World Cup. FIFA has already officially appointed Morocco as the host.
I agree with your optimism about Morocco. Morocco reached the eighth round of the World Cup this time, although they lost to France. They also played well in 2022 and probably finished fourth. This is certainly not a coincidence, but rather a great history for Africa. We can only hope that they will do even better in 2030.

Morocco has played well in this World Cup from the beginning. Their first match was against a strong team like Brazil and they drew there. Which really proves that they has the ability to beat strong team too. After that, they have constantly played against good teams and won. They reached the quarter-finals and lost against  France. But before that, they have performed quite well. If this consistency is right, they will do better in the future. And since they will be the hosts of the FIFA World Cup in the future, there will be enough motivation among them. Which will definitely have a positive effect on the field game. However, in the next few years, they should prepare themselves to be stronger so that they can defeat even the strongest teams in the future. We want new teams to win the FIFA World Cup. The strong teams make football more exciting.

I don't know if FIFA actually gave Argentina an advantage, but it's true that Argentina played against weaker teams most of the time. But Argentina were the world champions at the time and you can't deny the experienced players they had. Maybe because they had experienced players, they were able to come back from a difficult situation. But some of the referee's decisions were very bad, I agree with you here. Especially in the Egypt vs Argentina match, the referee was supporting Argentina like crazy. After watching the match, I felt like Argentina had bought the referee. But since there is no evidence of this, it may be unreasonable to say this now.

However, believe it or not, Argentina played very badly in the 2026 World Cup compared to other World Cups.

Argentina was lucky enough to play against weaker teams, yes, but we cannot say that FIFA helped Argentina. Argentina is a strong team knows how to win even against strong teams. Of course against Egypt they didn't play well and the referee didn't give his best, Egypt deserved to pass. He could have done better, that's true.

We have to consider some factors though!
1- Throughout the World Cup, Argentina only faced teams that were much weaker than them; if we consider the entire campaign, they only faced England and Spain as strong teams.
2-Argentina is a strong national team full of champions and they were the reigning champions, so the fact that they repeatedly overturned the result in the final moments is dictated by these factors which are very consistent.

In my opinion, FIFA proved to be impartial throughout the tournament, but I would have something to say about the refereeing decisions. Many referees were really bad at managing such an important event.

Argentina was lucky to find teams that were not strong, but there was also luck. Argentina has strong players and many champions, the Albriti were not up to par, they made a lot of mistakes and some did not deserve to be in the World Cup. Unfortunately this happens too, they too are human beings and can make mistakes.

You don't know that, and impossible is nothing. Did we not see that Mexican goalkeeper aged 44 retire from international football? Ge got to play the last game of the group stage and announced his retirement right after the game. Cristaino Ronaldo can equally do the same. He can still come out of retirement, even Lionel Messi one time retired from international football and returned to win the FIFA World Cup Competition.
I still think he will be part of the next squad playing right in front of their fans and supporters. We don't know yet but hopefully we're here to see what happens eventually.

I, as a huge admirer of Cristiano Ronaldo, doubt that he will be able to continue playing in the World Cup at 45, aware of the fact that age now has a negative influence on his performances. It's one thing to be a goalkeeper, and not to diminish the role, but being a goalkeeper requires less physical sacrifice than being a first striker.

What is the logic behind hosting a World Cup across such a scattered geographical area?
Portugal and Spain make sense. We could even add Morocco to the mix, since it is so close.
It would be just like the Canada-USA-Mexico partnership, but in this case, it involves Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay in South America. What is the logic behind including these countries in the organization? The 2026 World Cup took place in the Americas; I don't think any part of the 2030 tournament should be held there.

You're not alone in questioning that decision. Many people are questioning FIFA's decision to hold the World Cup across more countries. However, this is more of a political matter, as FIFA wants to prioritize a specific country to be the sole host, and that's Saudi Arabia in 2034 – they don't want to wait any longer to host the World Cup. FIFA might argue that the tournament would be more inclusive and that it's a special celebration, but that's unconvincing and fraught with controversy. But that's it; FIFA has made the decision, and those six countries will still host the World Cup, even if it's quite ridiculous.

Let's say you're right about almost everything, and if we take the example of the last World Cup that just ended, Everyone thought that Argentina had a big helping hand on and off the pitch. But in the end Spain won the World Cup.

Yes, i absolutely agree. i am still convinced that FIFA has decided to influence this World Cup in a suspicious way, also favoring Argentina. It is no coincidence that there have been several national teams that have made progress due to doubts that arose during this World Cup. Doubts arose precisely from the referee's unfairness in favor of Argentina.

You said something which made some sense to me now. At the end of it all, FIFA also needs to keep the commercial part of the game alive which can be done by raising the expectations of people and then humbling them with an outcome they least expected. If Argentina had won this world cup it would have sounded interesting and a lot of people will celebrate them especially the Messi FC guys, however it would have made many people lose interest in the competition owing how a lot of fans were against the Argentina campaign and strongly believed FIFA was for Argentina and Messi. The referee however did a wonderful job in protecting the image of FIFA by being so prudent in his officiating, at some point I realized FIFA was ready to take the game seriously to protect their image.

Of course, if Argentina won, many would have celebrated, obviously first and foremost the guys from Messi FC who are many. It seemed that FiFa was for Argentina and Messi, it should be his last World Cup. FIFA is always ready to protect its image, God forbid. But they found a team superior to them.

Yes, many see it that way, which is why many football federations have spoken out. At this point in time, with technology like mass media and cameras everywhere, it's difficult for a corrupt official to hide. Infantino was incredibly brazen in manipulating the system to his advantage at the behest of governments.

I think this pressure will keep Infantino up at night. The most rational thing would be for him to resign; that would put an end to everything and these accusations.

Totally agree with you, he should resign. National teams such as Wales have clearly requested Infantino's resignation due to the lack of professionalism he has demonstrated and for having obviously been biased during this World Cup. Because we saw favoritism and the reactions in the stands even during the matches. An attitude like this is not expected from a president.

There was a bit of drama surrounding the announcement of Brazil's final squad before the World Cup and manager Carlo Ancelotti did not want Neymar to be in the final squad for the World Cup. Neymar, who was physically unfit, should have been on the sidelines because he was no longer as fit as he once was. However, for business reasons, he had to be included in the team but he was limited to playing only a few minutes, not the full match time. Ancelotti only played him in two matches, and in total, this time was only 38 minutes. He was a talented player for the Brazilian team, but he has not been found for the past few years because he is not physically fit. These business issues are hurting the Brazilian team in the long run. The Brazilian team did not perform well in this World Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti didn't want Neymar just because he wasn't fit and it showed, Ancelotti already coached Neymar during his time at Paris Saint-Germain and knows he has a lot of talent.
He didn't let him play much because he wasn't in shape, he's no longer the Neymar we all know, there's a drop in performance for him too. Brazil didn't do well in this World Cup and it's a shame.

FIFA is and must remain impartial on decisions made on the pitch.
The way Argentina repeatedly made comebacks at the last minute in the World Cup led to the common perception that Argentina received support from FIFA. But Argentina did not win the title, Spain won the title. But this does not prove that FIFA was completely impartial.

They want the event to generate as much profit as possible! And the more people there are, the higher the takings they'll get. This is the only truth
It is rightly said, more teams mean more matches, more matches mean more tickets, more broadcasting, more advertising and more income. And since according to FIFA's financial accounts, the World Cup is their biggest source of income, we cannot deny that money is a big reason for them.

The Egypt vs Argentina match has created a lot of speculation among people all over the world and basically from that match the idea of an unfair match has become more clear among people and to be honest I myself have stopped supporting Argentina after watching that match, and I still believe that their match was really unfair. But at the end of it all, Argentina's performance in the final was clearly weak, they were only able to take 3 shots in the whole match. However, it remains to be seen what kind of change comes in Argentina's performance in the next World Cup, because then Messi will be gone, and how far Argentina will go with the void of Messi is a matter of seeing.

I was disappointed by the decision of Carlo Ancelotti to drop João Pedro for Neymar. The World Cup is a highly competitive event, and there is no place for poster boys. Neymar was injured and was not in good form, but public pressure forced the Italian coach to add him to the list a dropping one of the best strikers in the EPL. I suspect Ancelotti and Brazilian fans would have regretted that mistake.

It's really sad to lose a loved one. Messi was close to his father, unlike some players who don't have a good relationship with their parents. This will be a big loss to Messi because his father is a major character in the Argentina captain's success story.

I agree from a sporting point of view, but not from an emotional point of view. The fans asked for Neymar and it was also right to please that part of people who admire and love their idol. Joao Pedro had an excellent season with Chelsea, but still nothing exceptional. And despite this, Brazil still has a very strong and competitive team that should have managed the World Cup much better, regardless of Neymar or João Pedro.

They already knew that they were only going to progress this far and nothing more in this world cup and that is why they make that decision. it was more like giving neymar the last honor of being featured in the last world cup of his footballing career. certainly, in the next edition of the world cup, he is not going to be available and the Brazilian team can play independent of him and let us see how far they can advance. times have changed greatly and even in the next world cup, we might still get this kind of end to the world cup where the top four best teams in the world still find themselves playing from the semi finals to the finals.

The next edition of the World Cup will be missing many champions, Neymar will be one of them.

He wanted to finish in the best possible way but he wasn't able to. We'll see how they play the next World Cup, it's strange not to see Brazil go all the way to win the World Cup, they haven't won for so many years now.

From the early time of the world cup, Morocco was one of the team that we projected to win in the final for the first, but along the line we saw their lineup and we became aware of the risks that face them, playing against a strong team like Brazil in the opening and then facing France in the quarter finals made their dream of the cup winner to get buried as they wasn't any sufficient input to keep them ahead of those strong teams.

But in the upcoming world cup, we are gona see how and where Morocco can go since their are more prepared now and more experienced more than before.

I believe Brazil is one of the best countries for football. Brazil has many more talents like Neymar. One of the reasons why the country has not won the World Cup for a long time could be the injuries of the team's main players. Talented players like Neymar are very rare. Neymar's ball control was extraordinary. Luck was not on his side, so he repeatedly got injured at such a young age. Since Neymar has retired, the team now needs a talented forward. Which Brazil will definitely find. Venicius Junior is improving his game over time. He is a winger and can position himself well inside the box. And with his finishing experience, he could be Brazil's next striker.

There's nothing strange about Brazil not being able to win the next World Cup. We know the quality of the Brazilian national team now. They're not bad, but don't compare them to the incredible Brazil of the past.
Every strong country will definitely aim to win the trophy, but the competition will be tough.
Anyway, there's still a long way to go. A lot of preparation and changes can happen.

I think Brazil only pick up Neymar Jr for fans pleasure like Brazilians fans just love to watch Neymar Jr and that's why they pick him for just a fan wish because if we look at the World Cup schedule then probably we can clearly see it that Angelotti only give a chance to Neymar on his last match and even in last few minutes. So it's clearly indicates us that Neymar Jr weren't in the team plan. But I think it was Angelotti mistakes like if he put Neymar Jr form the starting of the match then obviously match state will be different.......

Besides that I really sorry of Lionel Messi father. He was the only man to have a massive impact on Lionel Messi upbringing. Messi by himself call him the man behind his greatness. So it's really shocked moment for Lionel Messi. We all are human and we understand his feeling.

Yes, i think it also depends a lot on Brazilian society, because it is true that the national team has to choose the players to bring to the tournament, but it is also true that football is a game of the people and when the people have an idol, it is right to please the people. However, Neymar brought great joy to the Brazilian fans and according to the same reasoning, players like Neuer, Modric, Ronaldo should not have played.
