My different approach to loosing Bitcoin would be, to have completely lost your private key or seed phrases, there is no recovery to that and it would just add up to the logs of lost coin and add more value to the coin in circulation.

Other than that, the rest counts as investment losses, either you lose it in trading or from selling at a loss. Even when you withdraw at a loss, you can buy back at a much lower price from where you withdraw, if you are patient enough and Bitcoin continued dumping, possibly during the bear seasons.

I think Op is talking about trading here, personally I have little sympathy for people who loose their bitcoin through trading because they’re the architect of their own disappointment, that is if they’re disappointed’ there are absolutely different ways an investor can approach the market and they encounter loose then you can actually sympathize with them, if you’re investing in bitcoin and considering long term with consistency then their is a chance that you have a successful investment after an estimated period of each Circle.

A trader does not usually view a temporary market decline the way a long-term investor views it. There is no guarantee that a Bitcoin price drop will be able to recoup losses in the future. The mainstay of long-term investment is investing according to one's financial capacity. If someone believes in the long-term potential then instead of panicking and selling when the price drops they can reconsider their investment objectives and plans. However faith should not turn into blind optimism. The Bitcoin market can experience major price drops and it may take a long time to return to its previous peak.
