There is nothing surprising about the use of VPN in a casino because that is a very sensitive issue, so casinos always make their position on VPN usage very clear in their TOS, it is then up to the player to read and understand or make assumption and pay the price. VPN hides the IP address and then make it possible for people from restricted countries to use the casino especially if KYC is not mandatory. This is why casinos generally forbid the use of VPN although few of then still allow it. It might be suprising to those who use it without checking the TOS of a casino to know whether they support it, but ignorance won't be an excuse when they get caught, cause it's required of customers to know and understand the TOS of a casino before agreeing to patronize them. I know that lots of people barely have time to read the terms and would hastly agree then register but they'll have themselves to blame if they violate any terms knowingly or out of ignorance. I find it very surprising that a lot if gamblers blindly agree to terms during registration without taking their time to go through the VPN policy. Then they'll want the casino to show mercy when they break their written out of ignorance which I'm reality doesn't work that way. If a gambler can not read the ToS before depositing their crypto, they should also not try to blame anyone when things go wrong.

^^ That’s the sad truth. The majority of users don’t bother to read the terms of service of the service they are signing up for (be it a casino or any other online service). They just tick the "I’ve read the terms" box without actually reading it. However, the service also bears part of the responsibility here as it has take some measures to make sure users read the terms. The least they can do is redirect users to the terms page and force them to scroll through all of it before completing registration.

The casino obviously have a role to play in making sure players read their ToS before they play with them because majority of the player's do not bother or think about it just because they are in a haste to play games and when that happens, the player can gain access to his or dashboard and still have a reminder even if they had not reading. Maybe the casino could just do a reminders on the dashboard of the casino players here could get the efforts of players to consciously put efforts to making sure that they do their best to read ToS and wait to see how it goes after that way round.

I have seen few casinos that allow player to use VPN on their interest which I think its a good idea. For casinos that don't support gamblers using a VPN on their website, I think they may be very strict about players that can hide their IP address when gambling from a restricted zones and to avoid that, users are not allowed to gamble with VPN.
Gamers uses VPN because they want to be able to have access to a particular site from a restricted area, that's why I don't by into the idea of casinos banning or blocking the account of users that makes use of VPN when trying to gamble on their casino, because majority of these guys mean no harm, they just need access to gamble without restriction. No, I do not think that making use of VPN is because user wants to stay private, because kyc might still be asked, as you have said already, so I believe that it's more of switching locations to avoid restrictions from a restricted geopolitical area, than trying to stay private. There are some casinos that are VPN friendly, not just to access from restricted area, but there are gamblers who frequently travelled and so their IP addresses are dynamic and certain casinos take that into consideration. Nevertheless majority don't like VPN because they want gamblers that are going to play within their jurisdiction. As if you used VPN, then you are violating their terms and conditions and that's constitute a ban and winning money forfeited.

If gamblers uses VPN to bypass the restriction because their country is blocked by the casino, I have to say they are stupid gamblers but what is the real fact? Most gamblers are smart enough these days, no one will be risking their money by violating the rules consciously. I'll use myself as an example, I do use VPN most of the time but I do not use it to bypass the restriction implemented by the casino but I use it to bypass the ISP blocks. Of course it does not mean that I recommend others to do the same, but in general most casinos will not allow gamblers to bypass countries restriction.
Many times there are some users who decide to use a casino even when it is region restricted by using a VPN in order to claim bonus rewards and later they often get into trouble and blame the casino. They should never use that platform by using a VPN. Just because of some rewards their deposited capital could get stuck with the casino. In my opinion for playing normal games a better option would be to find another casino that support crypto and those restricted regions, there are many trustworthy casino in this forums and that may support those restricted region. At the same time their casinos like Cloudbet that allows users to use VPN for their own privacy. I know that not all casinos are going to do such a thing we they can refuse and restrict their users from using VPN. Mistakenly using a VPN does not warrant a freeze of account of the player. That will be seen as being too strict. It should can be taken very seriously when this is happening everytime.

People that aren't reading the term and condition of a casino can find themselves in trouble when they broke the rules they supposed to be operating on. There are fortunate people that must have been using casino for years without knowing what is in their term. Number one thing every gambler must ensure they do is to make sure that check if the casino they are about to use restricted their location. It is a must for this to be checked before proceeding to register.

And I am still sure if casinos do a reminder to remind players to make sure they read, they might still not have that time to do it, although some persons might, so it not a bad idea.

You know sometimes users find it very challenging to go through the stress of reading several lines of terms and conditions before signing up a casino or any of the gamble platforms. But little do they know that running proper review on every terms and conditions before accepting the offer is the actual thing to do and for their own safety. Not tomorrow when they start having issues they will start looking for whom to put the blame on forgetting they failed in doing the right thing before starting. Furthermore, there're some few things many gambler's mostly ignored before embarking on any platforms, which is inappropriate. Hence, terms and conditions are obviously one of those stuffs we shouldn't look down on before getting started else become opened to future challenges .

Yeah, your idea is spot on, This is a good role play for casinos to keep. Most players rush to play and never opens the casino's ToS and that's just reality. It would be great if there's a pop-up reminder for players to review keypoints of casino's ToS like; Kyc, Withdrawals limits etc, before staking would go a long way. It's worth trying to see if it reduces complaints later. At least the casino shows effort in making players read through the ToS and players including myself won't say they don't know.

Well if it works for him that's it, each people have their own methods towards knowing the contents of the rules of the casino.
If that one works for him then its good. Maybe this is most convenient for him.
[snip]
If it works for him, he can keep using the same strategy, but we gamblers shouldn't overlook important details and take the proper precautions to avoid violating the casino's rules, regulations, and terms of service. Just because something works for him now doesn't guaranty that it would protect him from future financial loss caused by a habit of breaking casino rules.

This sounds ridiculous because you don't expect the casino to babysit grown adults to do what's necessary. Reading the terms and conditions of a casino is not something that is optional, but it's very necessary in other not to ignorantly break any of the casino rules. So if a gambler refuses to read the terms and conditions and he ignorantly broke any of the rules, who is to blame for that? Casino sending notifications and be reminding gamblers to read their Tos will not change anything because those that sees it as a stress will still refuse to take a look at it, so it's still the same thing.

You can read or not read ToS but you are fully responsible for your activities on a casino. You have to agree with ToS of any site to use it, and are responsible with any consequence if you broke their ToS. You can read or only search, scan, skim the ToS, it's up to you, but with your practice, you are good if you don't break Terms. Otherwise if you break terms, you will have troubles later, and it's clearly written and strongly emphasized in ToS. When you have issues with account and fund, you can not simply say sorry, I did not read ToS, that's non sense excuse from any user.

Every gambler should play by the rules it they do not want to be restricted by the casino because the moment the casino finds out so to protect yourself from becoming a victim of loss of money or being logged out of your account it's better every player read the rules and play by it do that the casino will not have any reason to restrict or block your account.

It is not necessary to read the casino TOS. But I would recommend reading the tos to control many unwanted situations. However, I can confirm from personal experience. If you avoid just two actions, you will not face any problems in the future. - You must stop creating multiple accounts.
- You should avoid using a VPN (if the casino is not friendly).
This way, there will be no abuse of any promotional event of the casino. Most gamblers violate this rule. And to protect the account, the above two points should be followed. But greedy gamblers abuse the bonus and suffer.

What are the reasons for using a VPN from a country that is not restricted by the casino system, apart from trying to have more than one account in the same casino, which is intolerable? There are different ways of not following the rules exactly, that is, breaking the rules. If you are using a VPN and you’re in a restricted country, or if you’re from a non-restricted country, your bad doing raises a lot of suspicions. It doesn't have to be stated in TOS to be understood well by any honest person with the minimum of intelligence.
There are reasons aside from abusing the casino that some can use VPN for. It could be in cases where the person forgets his VPN is on and then accesses the casino, or it can also be in situations where the person values his privacy very well and doesn't want to get it exposed to the casino on cases where KYC is not mandatory, and the person also don't have to come from a country where gambling is prohibited or banned by the casino itself, people have different reasons to use VPN aside from abuse, but it should be only when the casino is VPN friendly. Using VPN has become a Norm for some people due to security reasons and network and preventing internet service providers from snacking up personal informations for business purposes. This can be against the policy of the casino and become an offense to the TOS of the casino, so reading the TOS gives a better understanding about the casino. Like you said some might have activated the on there device for other reasons aside from the casino, only to forget and login with it which the casino may see as a violation against there policies.

I agree with the terms that a good idea is to read the terms before signing up for anything, to avoid future issues. When a casino gets it wrong, it's easy to blame them, but users should also know of the rules they're entering into. But casinos should also place important casino restrictions in plain sight, rather than obscure them in a lengthy terms page. All of these details, such as limited countries, wagering requirements, or withdrawal limits, should be easily accessible, and so should be conditions of an account. It may take a few minutes to read the rules, but losing access to funds because of something which could have been checked beforehand can be much more frustration.

Let's say some people forgot to switch off their VPN once but if they notice that and decides to correct their mistake it is ok but in a case where they have already been caught I will be difficult for them to convince the casino customer support if something has already happened to their accounts all they have been restricted. If the casino is not VPN friendly you should avoid using VPN to avoid numerous explanations later and in the areas of reading the TOS it should be a mandatory thing for each user if they want to avoid issues.

You're right. It is due diligence to read before registering as a gambler as casinos run on rules. As you have said, as a smart gambler or player it's better to check the necessary things like, country allowed, ToS, kyc etc. Cause if there's a dispute you have proof to defend yourself and your funds. Ignorance is not an excuse. I think casinos should also try to make the key rules easy to find.

What happens when you finished reading the terms of service, and you find some clauses that you are not comfortable with. Will you contact the platform that you don’t like certain clauses that you saw in their terms of service, and you want them to change it. Do you think they will listen to you? Why most people don’t bother reading the terms of services is because they know it won’t change anything. The casinos made those terms in a manner that it will suite them. They are just interested in you ticking that little box, and go with that they have provided. The only way more people will get interested in reading those terms is, if the casinos are assuring the public that whatever clause they are not comfortable with, that they will make changes.
