If being a jerk is a skill and buys me food then I am never going out of the job.


There is no such thing, and being good at trading stock is not a skill, it is just luck because we can't know the price of a stock will rise or fall in future so we can enver be accurate with or assumption.

Don't think of a job and you don't have to go further. When you're able to sustain your food in your backyard on however you're going to do it, you can have a simple life where you'll not be dependent on the society. You have the water that's being filtered that comes from the rain, and you have an off grid source of electricity. But you'd ask how to go into that if you're not going to work, we're already there and you're asking future matters. What you're working with right now, aim in getting into these things.

I do like the idea of building towards self sufficiency and dependency, but no matter how that goes, I really don’t think it should point towards completely separating oneself from society. Rather than complete separation, the main goal should be to somehow reduce how dependent we are on those systems that we have little to no control over. At least get started in a small way, food water, energy and all the rest, and then gradually create a lifestyle where you can be able to enjoy more freedom as well as fewer financial pressures but definitely not complete exclusion.

Yes, being a stock market trader is quite good. As long as you have capital and a stock market, you can continue trading. But honestly, I think the stock market is only for those with substantial capital. With minimal capital, trading in the stock market won't be noticeable at all. So, perhaps in terms of a profession or skill, it's true that trading in the stock market can be quite sustainable. But I don't think trading is limited to the stock market crypto and forex are also very good options. If you have the knowledge to trade and can analyze everything well, you'll do well in any field. But the stock market is definitely better.

Besides trading in the stock market, I think the only job or skill that will never disappear and will always be needed is farming. Because everyone needs food, so farming will always be needed by everyone. So that's my personal conclusion.

Indeed, places selling shares never die, as long as money is still used by people in this world, of course places selling shares will continue to operate.
In general, developed countries recruit employees who are experts in trading or experts in stock matters to be included in the job list, they usually work in state financial institutions.

Even though the profession of selling shares will never become extinct, humans have a limited life in this world. If you talk about selling shares, it will not become extinct. In fact, there are other jobs and skills which can also be said to not become extinct, for example, farmers, as long as humans need to eat and drink, the farmer's profession will never become extinct, farmers can also boost the global economy, even though there is a nuclear war in the world, farmers will still exist, otherwise all these humans will die if they don't eat.

Stock sellers, could be wiped out if a nuclear war broke out all over the world, people could not think about buying/selling shares for a while, but if there were no farmers to plant wheat, the human rice would die.

I'm not sure there is any trade or skill that is completely immune any more, simply because people are so innovative with solving things that can only be done by people currently. Eventually methods will be discovered or enough trust will build in a certain area that robotics can replace people. Take surgery for example, at present it has gotten to the point where machines - albeit guided by surgeons - can be remotely piloted to complete operations. Given enough time it might even be possible to replace the human element entirely and AI could actually make more advanced decisions to save a life than a person. There doesn't seem to be any limit to this capacity at the moment and it's dangerous to go into a career thinking otherwise. The safest people in the jobs market are always going to be those who are ready, willing and able to adapt to the current environment.

Yes there are many jobs that can never die, same as in my opinion there is one skills that can ever useful. That is skill of "marketing", it can be used in every field. A person who is efficient in explaining the product details, catch the customer, attracts more audience, and work in favour of the company. It will always be in the demands of the business, any development or the invention of any technology, that person never face state of unemployment.

Infact this skills not only used in promotion of the product but that person can start his own business easily. Marketing helps to understand the customer choices, or it can predict future markets demands. However, It is a reality that people ignored to learn this skills. They usually spend lot of money on acquiring the degrees or other professionals or non professional courses but there are few who come to learn this skill. While it has its own worth, that remains in demand always.

Oh well, that's a nice one. Marketing is definitely not something that can be easily replaceable.
These AI agents are not that capable to advertise a product end to end so that the users can buy it instantly.
But yeah, there are AI agents which will help a marketing person to achieve his goal very quickly.
All we need is relevant data to target the audience and AI agents can help us get that quickly.

Job / profession as seller will not go extinct because as long as humans have needs and desires, buying and selling activities will remain exist. The reality, human needs always developed, nowdays human buy something not to be survive but for comfort, status and hobies. Especially for high value goods, usually direct interaction needed, even there are AI threat but trust needed. On the other hand, based on demand there RnD team always create new product which need sales / marketer to reach its targeted new market.

Because market is dynamic and change fast, the way sales work must keep changing, Sales professionals must not only possess sales and communication skills but also master product knowledge.

Buying, and selling of goods and services has been there right from when the world originated, and will never fade away. As humans we have our daily needs for instance food, and we equally have items that we also need periodically like clothings, the selling of these products will never go away because it is very compulsory for every human to make use of. However to make good profit from this products depends on the area you are residing, and the possible strategy to make such business work.
On the other hand, there are also skills that can not go extinct like building of houses, those of us who read civil engineering, erection of buildings have also been there , and is also a skill that can not go extinct, other skill like data science, and content creation are also invoke following technological trends.

When the nuclear bomb was dropped did the thought of being saved was the stock? no, everything we have will be left behind and think only about personal safety.


Returning to the topic of the field of work or skills that are never lost is that you must be able to survive in all forms of conditions, be able to take advantage of existing goods, understand how to live in the wild. Without money even if you know how to adapt to the wild then you can still survive. In my place there is an old ethnic who until now lived in prosperity without money, electricity and without involvement with the outside world.  Since you alluded to the nuclear bomb then my mind goes straight to post apocalypse.

Hmm, I never thought about what the world would be like if the stock market stopped globally, although they have stopped in many countries before, like Russia, Argentina, etc. I don't really know how it will be globally, and I don't want to know.

You can be a farmer haha, or a construction/maintenance person. You can go into medicine if you like. I have thought of a course for me if AI took my job, that is HVAC. Is there anyone here an HVAC technician?

As a CS major student bro, I will say only one thing, you never stop. If someone replaces you, or you lose your job anyway, you don't get to regret, feel remorseful, or sit idle doing nothing. You don't have to worry about anything. Wake up, go outside, see what people are still doing and what you can do. Learn that, and start making money. Implementation is important, then just ideas.

There are still things that AI can not do AI can't fix a broken bone, in this life we have some skills do things that will give us money so we don't completely depends on people or waiting for a job to get feed because you can be disappointed one day in your place of work you could be sack, there are many things one can do to be getting money, producing agricultural products and selling them can yield a good some of money also involving in food business will not make one to lack money because people value food so much and can't do with out it.

Adapting on technology is truly the best option what people can do, since if they stick on traditional jobs or means to earn. There is a tendency that those earning option they know before, will not became a profitable to them when Ai dominates.

Also there are many free ways to learn this things and if they are eager to upgrade themselves. They can search for short courses online and try to learn all of those things there.

So as early as know its good to take action. Because those people will choose to adapt will survive, while those people stay in their comfort zones will be eliminated and lose those good opportunities.

I also have one job right now, and before getting the current one, I had to move to a different city and change it, so I was free for a week maybe, but fortunately, I got another one. But it was a risky move. I like to take risks, though, but I can understand how people with a lot of responsibilities might not, and at some point, I might not either.

Therefore, we should find alternative ways to make money, like you are already making money from one source, and you still have plan B and C. That's the spirit I also have, but I am unable to manage time for another job. Losing a job is a part of life. Never let anyone close to you or someone you know go into depression. Give them a hand, either they give you back or not. It is the way we are all supposed to live. I am sure you must have given him the shoulder, not to cry, but to stand up or something.

Sometimes we get way too busy talking about other sectors and other things without even looking back to farming. Farming as a business is one business which can hardly be replaced by AI, not in the sense of mechanisation but in the form of the actual chain which brings out the result we make use of as a finished product. So just like farming there are so many jobs out there which can not be eliminated by AI, not today nor in the nearest future at least. But o will continue to say AI has come to shape things in the right direction and we will be the direct beneficiaries of it at the end of it and it as not come to take any job away from any one rather to improve the work plan and flow of professionals and experts.

Thats completely correct,  skills last till death but jobs has expiring time that our age may decide, Many after spending our useful age in jobs without knowing one day our services will no longer be needed either because age is no longer in our side or something different.
Therefore its better investing much in skills than doing so in jobs as skills speaks at all time in life which job can never do so. Apart the above mentioned reasons, skill is also important in all we do because without employment opportunities skills can still provide for the person in question  which jobs can never do such.

If there is a doctor's job, then the medicine business that depends on it will continue, so if you give medicine business, it will continue for a long time.

It doesn't have to business but just a self sustaining individual where you don't have to rely on the supply that comes from the market. And so if shops close, and markets have that restriction and strict compliance for some another world event that everything shuts down, you'll be able to still eat some healthy food without worrying. AI might be taking the world with a lot of progress and changes but, we don't have to look afar just to think of what skills we need so that it won't be replaced. If you're a normal worker and able to have some money, I think it's best to start it.

Doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, teachers, psychologists, emergency workers, these jobs will never disappear. And no matter how updated Ai is, it will not be able to replace jobs in this category. In the future, robots may be used to some extent in these places, but a human presence will always be required. So, in the generation of Ai, it is very important to acquire these skills and degrees to survive in all situations because there were many types of jobs that Ai has now replaced and will replace more in the future, especially software and marketing related jobs, Ai will replace all of them. And those who have developed skills in these subjects are going to face a lot of danger in the future if they do not upgrade their skills.

Could AI, for example, fix my car? Change my summer tires to winter ones? It seems like such a small thing, but it saves lives.

And could AI fix a car? For example, just the mechanical parts. Replace the front and rear suspension? None of that is within AI's capabilities. Not even within its current capabilities.

That's why some professions will continue to exist for many years to come. I myself am eager to start repairing my own car.

If you’re talking about skills that will never fade away then you have to consider being a problem solver. Life is full of challenges, everyday people face different challenges, there’s never a day that will pass without challenges and people looks out for those who can solve problems either through their technical skills, ability to think clearly and detect where the problem is coming from and be able to fix it. There’s nothing more durable like having this skills, no job can be guaranteed because something can happen in the future, you cannot always be working on a particular job for your lifetime because a time will come when you’ll get retired from active services but your technical skills can keep you going till death.
