I would like to add two more areas to your examples of transportation and agriculture, healthcare and construction work. Just like food, people always need a good doctor, nurse, and pharmacist to stay healthy. Many professions related to healthcare will be in demand for a long time, although their work style may change due to technology. Construction work, people are increasing day by day in the world, the demand for housing and people is increasing. So there is a long-term demand for construction and repair work. For example, houses, roads, bridges, factories, and various infrastructures have to be built and maintained, so there is also a long-term demand for construction and repair work.

Ultimately, times will change, technology will change, but the value of works built around basic human needs can endure in many cases.

These fields of work no doubt will always be required, however technology goes forward so fast, that to do same job, number of employees always decreases. I cant wait when AI will be addition to doctors and it will decrease patients lines. In the past there were need a good number of people to cultivate fields, now 1-2 persons with special machinery and technology has replaced many. Good example are pharmacists also. Many years ago, people of that profession were similar to doctors. You could name your diagnose or problems, and pharmacist will give you medicine. Now people look everything online, get medicine recipes online and pharmacists play roles of sellers only.

It is of more disadvantage if one depends on jobs when we know we are in a competitive environment where their are many people ready to take over once position incase of emergency but is not so it has to do with once skil. Yes, especially when you learn different skills maybe 3-4 different skills. if they don't call you for the first they will probably call for the second or third that's if you're well known. the reason why most folks would prefer job over skill is due to the fact that it takes some time before they can actually call you for skill but as for the job you're doing it continuously. Personally with the way the economy is and also the experience I had from a friend I would prefer skill over job, I have a friend who spent 4-5 years in company work yet he could not achieve anything because the pay is not much, those who are at home learning skills is even better because before the end up the month they must have work in 3-4 different places and that's how they are getting money. While those who are working under company will still have to wait till month ends and that's how their expenses will keep compounding.

There are lots of advancement in technology today that are contributing the why people loss there jobs
Having skills is not enough for anybody to fold there hands and relax because as technology improves skilled workers also needs to know how to use the tools to improve there skills for better result. Any one waiting to be employed at this time could be that they are not ready  to pull the bull by the horn or find it difficult learn new things to increase tomorrow betterment. As a skilled personal you have your time to your self, creats job opportunities and makes there decisions all by themselves.

Skill is what will make a way for you and you don't even have to go find a job, you can create your own job and make life easier for you and your employees. Getting a job without a professional skill can make a man to become vulnerable to his employer and can later turn to slavery work because the fear of leaving the job to go find a better job will cause for questioning and over thinking.
With skill, getting employed might be for some time so you can gather money you can use to start up your own business with time.

Yes, and things are moving fast in that direction now. Beyond standard market competition, AI will increasingly replace jobs we least expect, which raises the bar for everyone. There are also bigger questions, e.g., what happens to all the displaced workers when AI has taken their jobs?  How are they going to support themselves?  Stuff like that gives my brain an icky feeling and makes me want to stop pondering it immediately.

For now, people who are replaced by AI will be hurt, but with time (as in generations later), things will even out. Humans will learn to work with AI. I often use the example of the internet. I wasn't there, but I know people lost their jobs when the internet was getting bigger. Today, everybody is working with the internet. During the transition phase, people get hurt.
The only problem now is corporations are not allowing the process to flow naturally. They're rushing it, and it's because of profit. The world today is so profit-oriented, so they don't mind skipping a few steps while they look for ways to justify their decisions.
I believe more jobs or opportunities will be created through AI in time, but for now, in these early periods, coupled with greed of people, a lot of people will get hurt by it.

Good luck to the young folks just entering the workforce (or trying to).  I mean that sincerely, because the job market isn't what it was even 5-10 years ago.

I don't think it's that bad for them. If they are still young, they can learn and adapt. It's hard, but not as hard as it will be for people in their 30s and 40s who will have to be laid off. At that stage of your life, it's very difficult to start all over in something else.
The younger generation have time to figure things out.

I do agree that adjusting to changes of circumstances is important and technology will certainly change the character of work. There is a difference however between the change in working methods and everybody can just change jobs.

A farmer could be trained to use modern farm machinery but if the technology means fewer jobs are needed on the farm, that doesn't mean that everyone who loses his or her previous job will have a new one. The real issues, then are the creation of new types of work on a fast enough time scale and whether they will be adopted by the labour market. But can people who are losing their jobs have the skills and opportunities to go into these new jobs?

Although employment may never go out of style employment might be a major issue for certain groups of people at this point in technological shifts. Adaptation is only a part of the solution and isn't the only argument.

Not all farmers can afford to have machines in their farm, those that can’t afford having machineries in their farm will hire those that can work with cutlass and hoe. This is how it has been for decades and I don’t see it changing for many decades to come. Even if such persons don’t have work in other peoples farms because they all upgraded to use of machines they can’t operate, those people can have their own farm where they can grow their own crops and produce their own food and have the ones to sell in the market. Anyone who have farming skills is always at advantage.

Even it doesn't have to be a job, just something that is a fuel of money, something that will never die and if ones skill is based around it such space will never die.

You are right but If you are good at trading stocks, you will never go out of business but trading is not a beginner job. It is a rich man’s skills it needs capital. If you have no money trading will frustrate you. As a newbie you need to have a cash flow like; barber, farming, electrical work, etc…for survival.
