With the challenging or competitive situation we find ourselves today, i have come to realise that skills are more better than jobs.
It is of more disadvantage if one depends on jobs when we know we are in a competitive environment where their are many people ready to take over once position incase of emergency but is not so it has to do with once skil. A skilled person has an upper hand when we talk of meeting ends need because it will be difficult finding an employee with same level of experience if need be.
Currently today many jobs are fading away because of advancement in technology but it is not so in skills, instead personels will also advance same way technology is doing.

Skills is better but the advantage isn't just about the skills alone but less attention, if everyone is skillful today it will be hard on everyone too because there will be alot of people seeking for online jobs and others, since everyone is skillful it wouldn't be hard for companies to hire someone. We can't all be good at one thing, there should be some balance and that's why we have different type of niches, a skillful person has upper hand because others don't know what he knows.

In my country, you are only allowed to serve for thirty five years, but when your real age is 65 years and you have just spent 20 years in your working service, definitely your actual age will determine your fate and you will be forced to retire. The only advantage that a job have over skills is that your salary will be paid no matter what even though you are absent from work, but in business you have to be there fully if not you cannot see anything or any profit from it.

Skills need ful attention so that it can be able to create more things and also grow faster. If you are very skillful in one or two things you will get an appropriate space anywhere you went to. You will I may be respected and also recommended through that your skills than someone who is just looking for job.

if you mean safe from the AI, stocks are the first to "fall". IMO trade jobs like pest control, HVAC, plumbing will probably not be replaced on the next 20-30 years.

Now an entire website can be created through AI. Coding to build any type of program can be done through AI. Running and testing that program and fixing all types of bugs can also be done through AI. But the thing that people will need the most in the future is the Cyber ​​Security Issue. The risk of people's online security is increasing. Of course, you should ask about that person's skills, but if their skills don't match the jobs that are normally offered, what do you do? The best thing is to learn something that's being offered and enter that competition; it's the smartest thing to do.

This varies depending on the country we're in and the needs that arise. But human beings must adapt as the world changes. Before, there were simple jobs, like delivering newspapers (years ago), and that was a job. Imagine if that newspaper delivery person hadn't changed their field? They would have died, because how would they support themselves? That's what I mean.

There are several job and business that offer essential services whose chain is also very vast, just like the telecommunications sector, it requires power supply, energy consumption, manpower, gadget, technology.

In my opinion, the fields that are most likely to always exist are even those that don’t directly touch on basic human needs that can't be completely replaced by technology, like healthcare services. Besides that, food production and distribution, energy, clean water and skilled trades like electricians, plumbers, construction, and mechanics. Basically, the stock market is included too because as long as there's an economy, people will always need mechanisms to invest and manage risk. Skills in these areas remain relevant because they involve high trust, complex situational judgment and physical interaction that AI or robots can’t easily replace anytime soon.

Besides that jobs that require deep creativity empathy or adaptation to unexpected conditions, like teachers, caregivers, artists or entertainers and design engineers. Even though AI can help experience shows that fully replacing human expertise often causes quality issues. Focusing on the skills we have that are hard to fully automate will give long-term security.

I know that the post is way older but I'll still drop something on it. It's harder to mention a business that will stay for a long time. You should always consider foods and beverages when thinking about long term business that never fades away. People eats everyday but this kind of business needs you to be experienced to avoid food wastage.

Another business that never fades away is knowing how to solve problems that needs immediate demand in any region that needs that solutions, if you are in a region where you feel a particular solution needs to be put in place to solve a certain problem, such business won't fade away.

Gain skills it can be in any demanding subject. You have said about gaining skills in investment you can also gain skills in this subject. There are many other subjects in which you can gain skills and earn regular income.

The most valuable asset of a person is the skill that should be acquired in any productive field. Some people gain skills in business, some can also gain skills in trading. The assets you have can be lost but the skills you have never lost.

I agree with you a lot. Human basic needs will never be completely exhausted. So there is a high possibility that the demand for businesses like food production will remain for a long time. Especially during wars or natural disasters, we understand how important food is in human life.

However, you said that people will be ready to pay any price if they need it. I cannot fully agree with this statement. Because needing something and being able to buy it are not the same thing. Suppose, a food crisis occurs in an area and the price of food increases several times. Even if the rich people there can buy food at a higher price, it may not be possible for the poor people. Again, it is not certain that the price will increase even if the demand increases. If production and supply are sufficient, the price can remain normal even when the demand is high.

In my opinion, food production can definitely be a good business sector. Of course. I think there is no business that does not face challenges with debtors, some of whom you might help, but who refuse to pay even when they have the money. The only thing that one can do in this situation is to set strict rules for giving credit. One might require collateral in case a customer refuses to pay. So business owners must know how to maintain good relationships with customers while enforcing their credit rules. Otherwise, their businesses may not last long, as more customers may owe them money and stop taking the business owner seriously.
