Trust wallet now offers prediction market

Not just trustwallet, but almost all popular wallets are now available with market prediction features, such as Safepal wallets, Phantom Wallet and several other wallets.
A popular feature because the hype of market prediction by Polymarket that makes everyone start looking for a place where they can bet for a football team or sports prediction and some other bets that are trending.
Even in Exchange wallets are also available and can be used easily, so people no longer need to exit the platform or wallet they use and of course this is more efficient.

To be honest, I only use Trust Wallet to send and receive funds, and holding my bitcoin. Because it is already very popular and easy non custodial wallets for mobile devices. So I have not explored the other features. However, after seeing your post, I explored a little and saw that it is true. Actually now it seems more like a gambling app to me than a wallet. Until now, I only knew that there was a prediction market on the exchange, that is, I saw this feature on the Get exchangers. However, no matter how many features are added, I will use Trust Wallet as a wallet app.

I have been using Trust Wallet since it first launched and I airdropped them for TWT tokens and I bought them from many token hunters at that time. I have not used Trust Wallet for anything other than just a wallet. The reason I use this wallet is because it supports multi-chains so it can be used in any situation. But now they can add prediction market features. But I have not delved into them like you because I also use it only as a wallet.

Predictions are like gambling, but I really don't understand why various crypto exchanges and wallets are adding prediction features to their services. Adding prediction markets to these places makes it much easier to access prediction markets worldwide. However, I don't think it's safe for everyone.

Trust wallet basically operates like an exchange before, I used to only think about their business model, which enables almost all the features found in an exchange, was because it was owned by Binance, but now that it's no longer attached to the exchange, they are even offering more service anything that will generate money for the wallet is all that they are doing, but I will rather use polymarket, or it's competitor than trust wallet worst case scenario I patronize Binance since they also offer prediction option.

I'm not sure why someone would use a wallet instead of a more well funded entity for prediction bets.  Is there no KYC or something?  I could see that making it a popular option.  Otherwise, it seems like people would be better off using a more established member of this market.  It is changing fast though.  Facebook should be making an entrance into the prediction space before too much longer.  I wonder what other companies will jump on that bandwagon.

I am not surprised at all because recently some of these crypto exchanges has been introducing prediction market to their main focus,that is business by the way, they are just trying to make profit maybe they believe prediction could do them a favour, but honestly I have been seeing and hearing more about prediction market and how other businesses has also been introducing prediction to their business it seems currently that prediction is marketing more than their main business focus I guess that could be another reason they included prediction market to their business. One thing about business is that the one business owners discovered that it is making good profit at that point it time becomes every business owner favorite or next business approach.

Did not trust Trust Wallet when it came out and I still do not trust it now, but mainly because of the marketing around it and all the influencers. I will always stick to the ones I know with no marketing and no influencers. Adding a prediction market now,,, makes me dislike it even more

I didn't notice that trust wallet had these so accusations and negative reviews about them and o still wonder why they are doing nothing about it and it was the wallet I was using before I joined the bitz family

This made these wallets convenient of adding to gamble with prediction markets. I guess that these are all added API from that source. I think that soon enough we'd see more partnerships from casinos/sportsbooks integrated with these wallet apps as well. It's only a matter of time but if these wallets have already made it, then the sportsbooks need to act along with this trend so that they won't be taking a huge share in the market or slashes a volume from them.

Was just trying to explore my trust wallet this morning when it suddenly came to my attention that, trust wallet now offers prediction on not just crypto but several other happenings including sports predictions, political news and so on and it seems they all started it this year which I don't know if it's a good move or not but it seems people are really going into it as the figures I see been stakes runs in millions so I had to bring it to the attention of the community for those who might be interested but not aware and I want to know your take on it.

Maybe, Trust Wallet wants to capitalize on the market prediction trend and compete with other users in the space. Prediction markets are currently generating a lot of hype, particularly among the crypto community. Moreover, Trust Wallet has a massive user base, I read somewhere that there are over 20 million registered accounts. Clearly, they are leveraging this vast user base to try, and profit from the trend.

By the way, I haven't used the wallet service in a long time; I have avoided it ever since a hacking incident occurred. Well, I know that particular issue only affected the browser extension, but another reason for my hesitation is; that Trust Wallet isn't fully open source.

I don't feel good about prediction markets being integrated into wallets. I will advice users of these wallets that have prediction or gambling services to avoid risking ther bitcoins just to entertain themselves or make money from the prediction market. Different devices and wallets with little insignificant bitcoins can be used for that purpose. Be careful with what you do with your wallets and devices containing your hard-earned bitcoins.

There are lots of innovations coming up which are not supposed to be welcomed. I don't think we need gambling services in online wallets. The primary purpose of bitcoins wallets is to keep bitcoins safe, not to encourage users to gamble with their bitcoins.

Polymarket or any prediction market, I think there's no difference. But it would be safer for you if you stick with the most reputable one, although Polymarket these days is now being dragged with the issues faced by Kalshi, so in the end that's up to your personal choice.

One thing I know, prediction market these days are clearly heading to compete with sports betting. But I don't think it will be happening for real since sports betting apps are more trusted by most of the gamblers.

I don't think it is so much about wallets independently choosing to show prediction markets to their users. Those wallets you mentioned actually have functionalities which allow users to interact with smart contracts, that is why other kind of services like decentralized exchanges, NFT marketplaces and providers of liquidity are also showed together with prediction markets.

It is different than having a wallet to feature a prediction market provider on their dash board, in my opinion.
I would also expect to be able to access prediction markets from Uniswap wallet and also from TON/Gram Wallets.

The area I don’t really like them is about the regulation issues where they mostly do not want to acquire licenses in most of the countries, of course I also believe inside information is something that is truly discouraging many people but however, there are some people who wouldn’t want to let such information slide from them. If they are directly connected to any of those governments officials and as we know too well, predictions mostly deals with future occurrence or events which are directly connected to the government information, and also about football and some others, and anyone who is directly connected would always want to utilise the little information they had just to make some few bulk of dollars from the prediction market.

And that’s just where the real problem lies. It’s a lot more easier for the regulators to regulate the platforms itself, but regulating the information that people already have via their personal connections won’t be as easy as merely regulating the platforms. If a person can easily act on information before the public gets it, then the market is truly not on an equal footing anymore, and this can potentially undermine trust in the whole system.

I just realized this now, and after checking my Trust Wallet, it is true.

Still, is this safe? I mean, we could just use the prediction market websites themselves instead of using a wallet that is injected with that kind of thing. There was once an issue with our cash wallet injecting local gambling platforms into its application. It is said that it invites more people to gamble their money since it's already there.
The government banned them from doing so, and the cash wallet application owner complied and removed them all. The same thing is happening here, although there's no government that could stop it since it's an international application. Still, I am positive there will be issues in the future.

Prediction markets are now booming in almost every type of business. Hence more sites, wallets and casinos are diving straight into this space. The newer generation seems to be more interested in these types of markets, which is why we are seeing such high demand for prediction markets.

Trust Wallet is still providing prediction markets based on global news and verifiable data. However there are some other sites offering prediction markets on local events and I feel that some of those sites are scams and might be manipulating the results. After Trust Wallet, I wouldnt be surprised if Binance and Coinbase also dive into this space for additional profits. The gambling scenario is changing I must say.

I also see some Reddit users saying that they are using prediction market through Binance crypto wallet, it's only a matter of time, it will be the norm in crypto space, no single crypto exchanges, crypto wallets and crypto platforms will be left out, everyone will be starting their own prediction market access for extra money.

Trust wallets are into a lot of things, which can get them money, staking, swapping, etc., and now we are seeing prediction markets, which are not even sounding strange to me; they just want their users to be in the app and do everything, which is not the same idea surrounding self-custody wallets.

Yes, that's true, because it is in no doubt that Trust wallet is actually one of the most used crypto wallets across the entire world, which has millions of users holding billions or trillion worth of crypto in it. And with the new trend of the prediction market becoming very popular over the few months, Binance group decided to launch a prediction market on its wallet where the majority of the users who have been using Polymarket and Kalshi have been sending their money from. And with this introduction of prediction market on Trust wallet, it is a welcome development and a great alternative source of income to the company.

This is the trend and I agree about efficiency and even ease of usage, I saw it from my Phantom wallet sometime ago, but the truth is that wallets with better reputation would likely have more patronage. I don't think I've come across complaints about Phantom wallet being exploited or all that saga experienced in Trust wallet.

Trust wallet is a no from me, even if they offer the same product phantom wallet offers, I will go for phantom and not trust wallet, they have a better confidence score than Trust wallet and users should put that into consideration.

When it comes to interface and dashboard simplicity trust wallet is the most worst one of them all, I have abandoned few crypto wallets because of how their interface looks, like that annoying Electrum wallet dashboard, ugly but works.

Yet still can't be compared to how uglier the Trust wallet interface have become, to even swap around and use normally is close to impossible, too many unnecessary gargons.

Since the wallet isn't even complete open source I don't know why it's hard for some people to avoid it completely.

I don't see anything wrong in a digital wallet offering prediction markets, maybe in the first view it looks like a neutral wallet of cryptocurrencies is offering some type of gambling yet we all know that most of us here in the crypto world gamble or have at least gambled sometimes so I see nothing wrong with it. Maybe in the future they go way further and start offering sport betting which would be the first case in the world where a wallet would offer such incorporated services.

If this is true, it means that polymarket is making so much money and everyone wants a piece of that money too. Soon after we will see almost all platforms offering that too. I won't be even be surprised if social media platforms do same too. That's if it is legal to do. They too will dive into it. But personally, I don't see it as a bad thing. Gambling is taking another route that has got people's attention. Just hope there's an effective regulation as to how everyone jumping in to  grab their own money from the pool.
