I think prediction markets are quickly becoming more popular, and their audience overlaps quite a lot with the crypto community. So for Trust Wallet, it’s an opportunity to make sure users don’t just store or swap crypto, but can also use it to access other financial products directly from their wallet.

On the other hand, there’s definitely a question of whether this kind of feature should even be part of a regular crypto wallet. When you’re constantly being shown markets on sports, politics, crypto prices, and other events, the wallet gradually turns from a tool for storing funds into a platform that also encourages users to risk those funds.

But the millions of dollars in volume clearly show why Trust Wallet and other companies have become interested in this area. The demand is definitely there, and if users are going to Polymarket, Kalshi, and other similar platforms anyway, wallets naturally want to get their share of this market.

Soon every casino, exchange or wallet will have prediction market feature, but next step will be integrating prediction market feature in apps that store users money. For example apps used to pay for parking. As user store some balance there, there is an opportunity for that user to place a prediction. In future we might get that everything "with balance" will have gambling/betting feature integrated.

I’m a little bit surprised that wallets are also offering prediction market, the other day we were talking about how crypto exchanges are now offering prediction markets today again here we are talking about the wallets. However, prediction markets are trending right now and people are making good money from it, even the crypto traders are now moving to the prediction markets.

Well I’m not surprised myself, everyone is looking for how to increase their profits and revenue. The prediction market is basically the hottest thing on the market now and everyone who has the chance are joining the moving train, at least while it lasts. Even though some people are complaining about insider information, we can’t deny the fact that there are those who are still going into the market on a daily basis so I’m not surprised everyone is adopting it.

The area I don’t really like them is about the regulation issues where they mostly do not want to acquire licenses in most of the countries, of course I also believe inside information is something that is truly discouraging many people but however, there are some people who wouldn’t want to let such information slide from them. If they are directly connected to any of those governments officials and as we know too well, predictions mostly deals with future occurrence or events which are directly connected to the government information, and also about football and some others, and anyone who is directly connected would always want to utilise the little information they had just to make some few bulk of dollars from the prediction market.

It means now everyone will be able to gamble no matter what, there's chance that even exchanges will add prediction markets at their platforms since we can already see that many casinos are adding those prediction markets in their platforms. The day might not be far when everyone will be able to predict the price of Bitcoin in next 5 minutes at exchanges and it may work similar to binary options. Since prediction markets are most probably future of gambling, they'll be everywhere without any doubt, but when those get added into everyday apps then it's not going to be a good thing to be honest.

I am just learning about this now and that's because I don't explore trust wallet that much but I know that they normally bring up new updates every week because any week I open the app, they will always request for me to download a new updates, always.  Seeing this thread I decided to check it out and indeed it's there, but you don't have to be fooled by the option which seems like you will still win small amount even if your prediction is wrong.

They are not running a charity organization, and based on the definition of the prediction market, you will only make profit if your prediction is correct or when you cashed out before the event is completed.

Did not trust Trust Wallet when it came out and I still do not trust it now, but mainly because of the marketing around it and all the influencers. I will always stick to the ones I know with no marketing and no influencers. Adding a prediction market now,,, makes me dislike it even more

It was just 2 months after Metamask announced the prediction market feature on its wallet in late 2025. So, TrustWallet maybe thought, why not?

I think it's a good move considering TrustWallet has many active users. They have 17 million (some say ~60 million) monthly active users. Metamask itself has 30 million monthly active users. The main difference in this feature is that... CMIIW because I never tried it before... Metamask takes an additional 4% flat fee, meanwhile prediction markets on TrustWallet are free. They are more like an aggregator, meanwhile Metamask is directly powered by Polymarket.

It simply just means if you place a $10 bet on YES and your prediction is correct, then your $10 will become $60.61. If your prediction is incorrect, then you will lose your $10. And if you place a $10 bet on NO and your prediction is correct, then your $10 will become $11.98. If your prediction is incorrect, then you will lose your $10 too.

They are on trend for now but we don't know if they're still hot by the next years. But I think that this gives some warning to the typical sports books that we've got.

It will be a better feature for them if they will allow dust amounts to be spent for their prediction market.

IMO, that's the best use of it for users who has got a lot of dust amount in it. They can think of it if there's millions worth of dust and being bet on their prediction market, that adds up a good volume into it.

Was just trying to explore my trust wallet this morning when it suddenly came to my attention that, trust wallet now offers prediction on not just crypto but several other happenings including sports predictions, political news and so on and it seems they all started it this year which I don't know if it's a good move or not but it seems people are really going into it as the figures I see been stakes runs in millions so I had to bring it to the attention of the community for those who might be interested but not aware and I want to know your take on it.

It seems the "disaster" of the prediction market has made its way into wallets, too. Cryptocurrency wallets have long since evolved into all-in-one platforms supporting a multitude of functions beyond mere storage (such as exchange, sales, and trading) so, personally, I’m not at all surprised trust wallet (can we expect the same from other wallets?) adding the trendy prediction market feature. I think this is also possible because the prediction market sector is still in a pre-regulatory stage, which opens up vast business opportunities (to profit from it).

A win no matter what? That’s exactly what would put me off. Things don't work that way. The organizer has to make money somehow, and if the player can't lose, it means there are some hidden conditions.

Good for trust wallet, they are complete joke anyways, their wallet is now almost unusable because of too many unnecessary token showing on the wallet, I had to uninstalled for many reasons.

To even access your own space is hard, you can't even tell which stable coin is real and which one is fake, they just missed too many shitcoins on the wallet that it now looks like a shitcoin trading platform.

Trust wallet isn't a crypto wallet anymore, not to me, the user experience have always degrades with every new updates, they ruined everything good about it.

What else do you expect when they have decided to ensure prediction market is being introduced to various platforms for people to consider, many that will definitely fall under their risk are those that are greedy or who may think it is all about gambling or trading, but the true nature of how prediction markets works is entirely different from all these, some will definitely prevent themselves from prediction market regardless of the way it was been advertised while some all let me see many ways it and lose more.

This is a brilliant take, if the demand ain't there, I think they'll figure out it's a bad design and discontinue from it. Trust wallet is not the most trustworthy wallet out there—they ain't reliable in terms of security due to past experiences and reports—but they're also out in both providing the best experience for users (UX) and at the same time, make there own money.

As you've said, polymarket is booming, it is a no-brainer for any profit oriented establishment to hop in. I mean, the volume speaks for itself.

But then again, trust wallet is suppose to be a non-custodial, decentralized wallet. Including such centralized feature undermines the core value of the wallet's purpose.

I have been using trust wallet for few year only for small instant transection. It's was good to me until their new update recently. With the new features the wallet look like a centralized exchange. Yes they did the right thing from their perspective. But just like me many user will stop using trust wallet. A wallet should be simple, easy to use, some feature like swap bridge that's enough no other feature needed. They should at least add a option to remove these feature if someone don't want the feature.

That 'no loss either way' is wrong however bro, nice find anyways. It works as betting market (like Polymarket type), value of Yes/No shares in system changes according to chances, not fixed. If you put in $60 on Yes and it comes out Yes, you get $100, but if it comes out No, you lose $60 you put in. Same for No side. So it is not riskfree, it just looks riskfree at that time because both sides add up close to $100 at market price, that doesnt mean outcome is guaranteed.

These betting markets are only available in some countries due to regulation, so check whether it is allowed in your country before you get into it. Thanks for bringing this to light, will be interesting to watch as these platforms compete with others like Polymarket/Kalshi in this world.

This is true and I believe for a prediction market which is same thing with gambling, we should always have at the back of our mind that, they would always be a way for the site to earn from it which that in our mind, we then would threat every pick much more importance.

I am also confused based on what op posted because let's say, you bet with $100 for a market like there will be rain on a certain location like Florida before 7pm that day and maybe there is a market like 2:60 if there is a rain and 2:05 if there's no rain and maybe I decide to put $100 on each market options, don't you think I wouldn't be in any form of loss no matter what the outcomes is?

I personally think the prediction markets expects or doesn't expect that people wouldn't go that far with their thoughts or maybe people wouldn't want to bet on the two options at a time? Or what do we even think of it because I was even looking deeper into what op was trying to say.

The topic is in the right place, mate don't worry about it. Those who do not check the wallet in time will be surprised when they see this feature. As per me, that's a great feature for the users who are interested in the prediction market. You can fill up your prediction from here no need to go somewhere else. However, it has the same risks as any other betting, and in this wallet, I think you should be more adaptive to precautions because you are directly doing it from the wallet, so there are great chances of heavy losses.

Trust Wallet was quite clean at the beginning, but it is true that gradually seems to be quite suitable for shit tokens. Their interface can no longer be called clean. But if that same screen always shows sport, politic or price prediction then the user will gradually move towards more speculative activity.

In their current model, third-party prediction market are being brought into wallet interface.
So in this case, my concern is not that wallet became a casino.
