I don't know how Litecoin (LTC) would perform in the next bull market so I can't categorically say whether it's still a good investment or not. But since Litecoin (LTC) is currently trading at $69, if you have money to spare you can start buying Litecoin (LTC) with DCA maybe in the upcoming bull market if Litecoin (LTC) eventually increases to $100 plus you will be in profit.
Obviously, you cannot tell how many other projects will perform in the next bull run. Litecoin is one of the majority of top altcoins that are highly correlated with Bitcoin to perform during the bull run, if Bitcoin pumps, Litecoin follows. Anybody investing in Litecoin now will not lose when Bitcoin pumps, but LTC potential is highly tied to Bitcoin performance, so rather it is best to consider Bitcoin instead of Litecoin.

The fact that litecoin is moving do the opposite direction. The first picture is clearly telling us how litecoin is always weakning against bitcoin. It has 350x ratio against bitcoin, which is far worsen than last years.
To be a great investment like bitcoin, it has to follow bitcoin's movement. So let's focus on the 2nd picture, which is showing how litecoin's annual return is just too far away compared with bitcoin.
I'm still questioning why people are still calling litecoin as a silver when the statistics and data are saying the opposite. For me, it's not an asset that is worth to hold.
There's nothing you can expect from a coin that has its creator dumped its own coin.
Litecoin is called "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold" because of its reliability. Limited supply is another fact. But the main one is reliability. Especially when compared to other cryptocurrencies. Rival chains are newer, and widely unproven. Consider how Solana has been a victim of constant network outages in the past. Litecoin has been steadily running since day one (AFAIK). Not only it's reliable, but it's also fast and cheap to use. If you want the added scarcity with the security and reliability of Bitcoin, Litecoin would be your only answer. Not Solana, not BNB, nor TRON. Ethereum comes close, but it's now more centralized than ever with the switch to PoS. These are strong reasons for anyone to invest into LTC. It's up to you to decide whenever it's a good investment or not. Just keep "hodling".

One interesting thing about Litecoin is that it had these enormous spikes in the past up to 400$ or so, but when you compare the support line of the bottoms of the bear markets, they increase constantly. Which means that if you bought at bear market bottoms, it always was a good investment, even if it lost traction against Bitcoin: The green line is the "support bottom". It was at slightly below $40 in 2020, and is now close to $60. Not a massive gain, but contrary to the belief that it "loses all the time", it's not that bad. Above all compared to a lot of other altcoins. I'm surprised to see people defending SOL here which is currently more than 60% down from its 2025 top, and also failed to score a convincing ATH in 2025 (like Ethereum).

It's worth noting that a similar rising support level formed at the bottom of the ZEC chart before it skyrocketed. Although there are no other indications that LTC might perform like ZEC did, purely on a speculative level, I wouldn't rule it out. After all, it's not uncommon for altcoins to suddenly skyrocket when people least expect it.

If you treat Litecoin as a trading instrument only, then it is better to stick on bitcoin, following your reasoning. But when it comes to utility, I think Litecoin is no less important than the major cryptocurrencies in the utility market. In addition to its solid blockchain with fast network to manage with transactions and cheap network, Litecoin has been also a pioneer in the privacy space. After the latest update, by integrating with an additional layer of privacy, the mimblewimble protocol, Litecoin joined the club of privacy coins. Now it can be used in almost full anonymity.

It is true that most altcoins are influenced by Bitcoin, and altcoin market as whole still depend heavily on how BTC perform. But I don't buy that LTC or any other alt is 100% correlated to Bitcoin . The upside of a coin is really determined by its demand and its ability to draw capital inflows by itself. So it's not as simple as BTC going up and LTC following suit . At the end of the day, does LTC have enough potential to deliver solid returns or not?

Litecoin is still useful for making transactions with lower fees and it gain some trust from users overs years. Although those things doesn't always make a coin good for investment where new projects keep offering more advanced technology. Litecoin has dropped around 13% in this October which shows a down trend and it makes me think twice before investing in it. Someone can feel free to invest but being a reliable old coin doesn't always mean it will always bring us good returns.

I really like Litecoin; I’ve always used it for sports betting, and I prefer to hold my winnings for the long term but only when the price is around $50. If, however, I see that the price of Litecoin has become too high, I convert all the Litecoin I’ve earned from sports betting into USDT. This is because I don’t believe Litecoin will ever reach its previous all-time high again, you don’t need to think too hard to realize that just look at the chart. Look at this photo to see the stark contrast between past prices for instance, back in 2018 and the current price of just 0.000737 BTC. It’s a staggering difference; over time, LTC has only been losing value. The only reason its dollar-denominated price hasn’t fallen below $10 is that Bitcoin is currently trading at $82,900. But let’s hypothesize: if the price of Bitcoin were to drop sharply tomorrow say, to $10,000 then, at the current rate of 0.000737 BTC, Litecoin would be worth only $7. Yes, you read that right: $7. That is precisely why I have no intention of "HODLing" Litecoin for the long term. I buy in when the price is around $50 and sell if it reaches $100 or $140. Last year, Litecoin hit $135, but only because Bitcoin had surged significantly. Following that logic, one could predict that if Bitcoin were to reach $124,000, Litecoin would reach $135.

Good observation. I think it is also not impossible. If people become too negative about an altcoin even if the fundamentals are solid (LTC has still good usage for transactions / payments), then this can be indeed hint at such a possible spike. LTC spiked above 100$ several times when people already thought it was "dead". Look at this photo to see the stark contrast between past prices for instance, back in 2018 and the current price of just 0.000737 BTC. It’s a staggering difference; over time, LTC has only been losing value. This continuous loss of value against BTC is the case for most altcoins (99% at least, including Ethereum and Solana), and 98% of them do much, much worse than LTC. A reason is that early adopters often were able to fill their pockets cheap and then continuously add selling pressure. In the case of LTC, we have Charlie Lee's instamined coins, which were sold in 2017, so there is less of this kind of pressure. In the chart however you can see that the curve of "devaluation" against BTC has flattened in the last years. Since it crossed the 0.0001 BTC line in 2024, i.e. in the last 2 years roughtly, it only has fallen 30% further (against BTC). In contrast, it fell 70% against BTC in the previous 2-year timeframe (2022 to 2024), and about 50% in the timeframe 2020-22. The only similarly "stable" period against BTC (with less than 50% fall / 2 years) was 2016-20, which was basically Litecoin's "late heyday".
This logic is a bit flawed for me, or at least exaggerated and not at all predictable. There is an influence of the Bitcoin price on altcoins, as there is such thing as a "macro crypto sentiment" and a Bitcoin winter also draws altcoins down, but this relationship isn't linear. Otherwise we wouldn't see the swings we have seen in the LTC/BTC chart (and in other charts like ETH/BTC etc.).

Is Litecoin still a good investment? Litecoin has been an Altcoin for ages and is reliable in sending cheap transaction. Litecoin is like Silver and Bitcoin is Gold. Is Litecoin still a good Investment?
if we compare with its highest price which was 410$ then yes it's a good investment since it is at least 8 times down from its previous ath

If you're set on buying coins that rely solely on PoW, wouldn't it be better to choose Bitcoin (BTC)?
Of course, choosing bitcoin would be better, there is no doubt about it but alongside bitcoin, litecoin can still be a good investment. Many people have a lot of money and are interested in investing in other coins alongside investing in bitcoin by maintaining DCA. So, investing in litecoin and stable coins in altcoins can be good.

I know it's not a bad investment. Holding it for the long term might turn out to be good. Buying it now that it's less than $70 is not a bad idea. I know it would probably get to %100 by the next bull run. In the last bull run, it got to about $110. Something tells me the next bull run will be better than the last, so I can hope for $110. The best time to buy was when the price was below $50. Now it's around $60, which is not a bad price either. If you buy now and hold for the next 2 or 3 years, I believe it will give you a good profit. I don't have hope for a new ATH, but it might get close to $200

People hunting altcoins are betting that when there's a bull run, the returns from altcoins will supersede that of Bitcoin. When doing this, it's always about timing and monitoring, and selling at the right time.
Litecoin is no different.
If you are the type who likes to follow crypto-twitter, follow news, read plenty of updates, and then know when to buy and sell, then perhaps you can try your hands at altcoins.
IMO, no altcoin is worth holding longterm.
Some are actually worth the risk. Those that are holding BNB will not agree with you on this. BNB got to its all time high last bull run. It is one Altcoin that I know that haven’t had any bad bull season. Those that bought at early years and are still holding are not regretting holding it for long time. Even the current price is not too far from the ATH. If you have the resources, try adding some in your portfolio you won’t regret it. It might end up surpassing Ethereum in the next few years.

I will prefer LTC to many of those memecoins in the market that are looking for invetsors that will pump money into their project that don't have experienced team or the capacity to get more investors.

Is Litecoin still a good Investment?
Once a coin has not been dumped by its team and it's trading below 70% or so of its current ATH, I consider it a discount and a good buy. To answer your question, yes it's still a good investment at this time. However, don't throw in your all in buying it. Only invest what you can afford to lose. I've a small portion of LTC but I hardly even think about that investment. It's just sitting pretty there. I don't bother whether price goes up or down. I believe it will spike one day and then give me a great ROI. If you've that mindset of not panicking at every dip, you can buy and hodl it.

Now you're exaggerating it. The coin is good but not as good as you claim. After 2021, it has not crossed $150. This is a coin that has an ATH of about $400. This doesn't look like a coin that you would say people will regret if they don't buy it. Getting to $150 in the next bull season is a big doubt, so it's not a must-own coin. It's a good coin, and the price is relatively low right now at around $58, so it would make sense to hold it till the next bull run at least, but it's not a coin that will make people "regret". I would be extremely shocked if it gets close to its ATH in the next bull season.

If I remember right , ltc was trading below $60 during 2022 bear market, but it also climbed above $140 in the 2024 bullmarket. So a new ATH might be a stretch, but I reckon a 2x-3x from here is totally doable. That said, I agree LTC isn't a must-own coin. With that kind of upside, there are plenty of other viable options out there.
