Besides, who says that someone who deposits $50,000–$100,000 is poor? You’re the one drawing that conclusion, bro. When it comes to the amount of money allocated by the rich versus the poor, it’s obviously different, because their financial situations are also different. Something that’s a big deal for the poor is certainly not worth much to the rich, which also means the amount of money the poor and the rich can afford to lose is definitely different.

When talking about the number of gamblers globally, the numbers probably come much more from poor people than from rich people, since most poor people see gambling as one of the solutions for them to get out of their poverty. They don't mind 'spinning' the money they earn on gambling, hoping that they might win big enough to change their lives and escape poverty. However, rich people usually have a different view where they see gambling as a form of entertainment rather than a solution to their financial problems. They can afford to lose the money and aren't really affected by it because they have already prepared themselves for it. This difference in mindset is often the reason why far more poor people are involved in gambling compared to wealthy individuals.

People are always saying that the poor people are the ones gambling more than the rich people, now my question is those who are depositing $50k to $100k on casinos are they poor people, because I’m sure poor people won’t have huge amount of money to deposit in a casino. So it’s the rich people that always deposit huge amount of money on a casino and not the poor and this means the rich are the ones gambling more than the poor.
I can only agree that the poor are more in numbers as gamblers but the rich are the ones spending more money in gambling.
It is this mindset that gambling can for sure bring profit and that is why those poor guys are not running into it. IMO, the amount that person use to gamble cannot make you know if the person is rich or is poor. AFAIK, someone can be as poor as a church rat, and still invest $50k. And that is possible because some lots that gamble with loans, which is a very dumb thing to do. Had this friend that was a addict. Dude borrowed two million in my county currency from an online loan app and he now went to use the whole two million to play sporty bet. What pissed me off was that the dude used my name as a guarantor, and when he couldn't pay those loan guys begin to be disturbing me and then making my life a living hell I tried calling him to question why he used my name as guarantor and vanished but he didn't pick. In gambling there is no assurance that you will make money from it. That is why no mater if you rich or poor, person have to control the way they gamble and also gamble with just what they can afford to loose. And guys should never gamble with loans.

I believe the issue is more about desperation than it is about accountability size. You don make a fine point though, what really matters is what the stake actually is relative to the person’s position or situation. Some folks can actually drop in $100k as an amount he can actually afford to lose, and that’s totally entertainment, while another can drop $50k as his total net worth or money he borrowed, and the impact of losing both amount can never be the same. So it’s really not about the amount but the capacity of the person.

I believe the poor do gamble more than the rich in terms of numbers because of how they see gambling. Many poor gambler's see gambling as a source of income and they believe that they can gain financial freedom through gambling. However, the rich may not see gambling this way. Although, the rich may deposit huge amounts of money in a casino because they have the money.if someone is depositing $50 to $100 as the OP said doesn't mean that rich people gamble more than the poor. Therefore before making any conclusion there is need to check the amount of money and numbers of people that are gambling and not just considering only the amount.

Numbers are used to calculate the gamblers who gamble more and not the amount used in gambling but if we go by money spent rich gamble more but the rich are a few percent from the large percentage of the poor.
So you are correct that rich gamble more but are less in number but poor gamble less in amount but are more in number however the large number is makes the casino more money that the few rich who deposit huge.

Op more on what? Is it on time or money? Because those two things are entirely two different things. You have to be specific and each of the gamblers has their own to be actively involved. The poor gamble frequently which means they spend time more than the rich and the rich in turn spend more money when they are gambling. Therefore if you can specific the mind of "more" then the above will surface. And to make it clear. Those who spend or deposit $50k-$100k are rich and not poor.

They may gamble more win reason of trying luck repeatedly but when it comes to who spends more which is the subject matter, believe me dude the rich does it more. The amount of money some poor people spend gambling in a months can't be conpared to some rich people's one time gambling. For instance, the famous musician/rapper drake spends hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions in gambling, some poor people's deposit for a year can't even reach half or less than half of that amount.

You should know that rich are definitely going to spend more on gambling, but the amount they deposit and gamble with might be a small amount of money to them, since they are wealthy, but the poor will definitely see that amount of money as a huge one. I feel the rich win more when gambling than the poor, when the rich are gambling, some of them do pick few matches, like one or two matches, and they have high chances of winning, but when the poor are picking their matches, you will see them pick like 10 matches and they will place bet with little amount of money, which is going to reduce their chances of winning. I can only agree that the poor are more in numbers as gamblers but the rich are the ones spending more money in gambling.
Definitely the poor have higher number of gambler’s, because most of them now see gambling as a source of income, they believe they can increase or multiple the money which they are having with them, and that’s not the purpose of gambling.

No one can tell who spends more than because we don't have any data on this information which we can use to know if the poor spends more than the rich. However, the most important thing is that they're gambling with what they can afford to lose. However, the rich man can easily recover back his losses from his business or investment but the poor losses might not be recovered.
Does gambling knows the poor or rich? To me, this is not possible to know because gambling site is being deployed for the casino owner to often be at the profits side. That is why gambling doesn't obey the poor nor respecting the Rich, but what the casino knows is that would increase their potential to make more profits from their brands.

I can only agree that the poor are more in numbers as gamblers but the rich are the ones spending more money in gambling. Although I did not get any evidence from the survey results or anything related to your statement, but I am quite sure that the statement is really a fact. One wealthy gambler can spend hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars overnight on gambling, while casinos require hundreds to thousands of poor gamblers to raise the same amount of money. Sure it won't be 1:1, but poor gamblers have a big contribution to the profits earned by the casino. Casinos will always benefit from greedy gamblers, whether they are rich or poor. Wealthy gamblers spend more money, but they also have the opportunity to make the casino pay dearly for their winnings.

Spends more or gambles more?
The both of them gamble, I wouldn't say there is one greater that one, because this is a personal activity, a poor individual that gambles will still gamble when he or she gets money. Although if you put everything into logical consideration, the rich will seem to gamble more because of availability of funds, but limited funds will make the poor gamble less. As a matter of fact I have heard of cases where money is borrowed for gambling, I don't think there will be an answer to this question.

Of course not, they're not poor. No one has got that money will consider themselves poor if they're going to spend that on a casino. It's a life savings of most and many don't even get to that amount working all of their life time. I can only agree that the poor are more in numbers as gamblers but the rich are the ones spending more money in gambling.
Take it this way, a poor can spend more in gambling and is irresponsible in life. A rich can gamble with $10 to $20 of deposit and gamble responsibly without having the need to define if they're rich or not.

Do we really have to think about this? It is obvious that rich people spend more money in casino per household. In terms of collective spending, you forgot the third category, the middle class. It is said that the middle class spends more money in the casino in collective terms. It is said in this article: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9653360 that in Australia, it is not the poor or rich that spends more on casinos but those who are in the middle classes.

Curious to know if there’s a statistics, no one actually said the poor spends more or I’m mistaking emotional gambling and disciplined gambling. Gamblers who can’t afford money easily get emotional with their bet outcome, as a matter of fact they can’t control their gambling habit so they intend to gamble aggressively after losing a bet. Wealthy gamblers at the other hand act more disciplined, meaning they bet using a huge sum of amount no doubt but, they don’t get carried away with the game. I guess the reason why is because the poor don’t have good ways to earn a living. Gambling using much money don’t make a gambler an addict or a gambler can be spending more yet they’re disciplined enough to draw the line but, can we say same for poor gamblers.

The point is how much each of them can afford to lose. There are poor individuals gambling proportionally superior amounts of money compared to rich gamblers, when you compare the amount they are gambling to their total monthly income. That is the problem. If a rich gamblers risks 50,000$ or 100,000$, but it corresponds to only 1% of his monthly income, it isn't an issue. But a poor gambler risking 100$ is a big problem, because it must correspond to 33% of his monthly income, or even more...

We cant even argue this because gambling to us is a game of choice and for fun, but those that have no other means of income may see gambling as way of making money where such mentality leads them to heavy loses in the end that will make them to become worst than before financially, so when gambling we should know what expectations comes from the poor gambler and someone who is rich expectations from their gambling you noticed that poor people have higher expectations on their gambling winnings.

People gambling with the this huge amount of money doesn't mean this set of people gambling with this huge amount are more than average gamblers or poor gamblers. Rich people gamble but it cant come parents the rate to thst of the poor people because they gamble just to win a jackpot, the poor people depend in gambling as a source of income. If you can accumulate the amount of money the poor people sprndbon gambling you would even see that they are the one spending more in gambling and the rich ones because the rich normally gamble oned in a while

It’s is true that the poor do gamble much more than the rich would do, although I wouldn’t go into comparison on who places the most stake or losses more in gambling as, rich people are always high rollers or stakes huge. The poor can’t measure up on that. The rich understands how to manage their time, except for those retired folks that have others managing their investments and set ups. The poor always find ways to create time for gambling because, it always counts as a means to earn huge and escalate poverty even though they never do. So, I’ll go with the poor on this.

Thousands of dollars spent by the rich in the VIP rooms of casinos could be just one or two percent of all the money they have. However when the average players gambles away half of his earnings for the month on the slots or sports betting, the amount of money is less important than the consequences. It is the small but constant investments made by thousands of common people that keep the casinos alive and not just the few affluent individuals.
I agree with your views on this discussion. The amount spent by an individual is not as important as the cost of the amount. A poor man who bets $50 might suffer more consequences than a rich man who places a bet of $50k. Someone who earns $200k might be able to risk $50k. It might be a disaster for a gambler whose monthly pay is $500 to spend half of that amount on gambling. Rich people also gamble just as much as poor people do too and they even spend more in gambling because obviously they can afford it and they mostly gamble for fun so there's a huge difference between the rich and the poor in gambling. Rich people gamble but they don't show it or even display it in public so they gamble privately and they don't gamble as often as the poor too but when they do there deposits are usually huge amount unlike the poor so I'd say that the rich spends more money on casinos while the poor spends more time.
There are lots of rich people who do not gamble just for fun. The notion that they gamble to be entertained is not totally correct since many of them are even addicted.
