Hello everyone!

We haven’t been as active on this message board as we would like to, so here we are - available for any questions again.

We feel that some explanations are needed about our service and the future of NiceHash.

Let’s talk about the repayment program. As you know, we were the target of a sophisticated attack in December 2017. We are still working with cyber security investigators, exchanges and authorities to track down whoever did this, but in the meantime we are working hard to repay our loyal users who were affected by the breach. So far, we have repaid 30% and we will continue the repayment program until everyone gets fully reimbursed. There were some allegations that we are “stealing” your hash power to cover the repayment program. This is not true. We are repaying you from the fees we collect for using our service, effectively cutting our profits. We still believe this is the right thing to do and we will continue in this direction. The law in Slovenia states that we must treat all customers equally and since such a large amount was stolen, we just do not have the necessary funds to repay everything at once. The market is not in the best shape as well at the moment, if it bounces back we may repay you in larger sums in the future.

In short, we are not going anywhere, be ready for many new exciting things coming to NiceHash in the future. If you have any questions, we will do our best to answer them in this thread.

It looks like it's not accepting your credentials or you have the machines pointed to the wrong port.  Since you upgraded the OS, I would go back and make sure you have your pool settings and the like correct.

Just assembled my first mining machine (it's a Hydra II 8 GPU case) and it is working beautifully. Kudos to nice hash for the easy to use app for Windows 7.

I'm trying to withdraw my balance to Coinbase.  I have not done this for a few months but it used to work fine.  Now it is asking me for TWO confirmation codes but I only get code 2 in my email?  What is going on?  Where do I get code 1 from?

it's in the FAQ. it says:
"if your coinbase email is different then your nicehash email, you will receive TWO codes. one code will come to the registered coinbase email, the other code to the registered nicehash email thats making the w/d"

Hi, I tried to connect DragonMint B29 and Innosilicon D9, without success. I have used nicehash before with other ASIC miners and never experienced any problems until now. Can you help me resolve this issue?

Thanks

This is the response I received when I asked the same question:

Hello!

I am sorry, Innosilicon miners are not supported on Nicehash.

Kind regards,
NiceHash Team

Which is weird since they do support the A2, A4, and A5.

When will you support Siacoin ASIC mining?
Siacoin is supported on NiceHash, there are currently over 3000 rigs connected to our SIA stratum. Antminer A3 is probably not using the same protocol for SIA algorithm as we are. https://siamining.com/stratum

You should download the latest firmware and upgrade your device. After the upgrade, you'll be able to see NiceHash multipool with special 'enable-nicehash' option which implements our special Simple Multi-Algorithm protocol. If all pools are working, but NiceHash is showing DEAD, then restore the sample pools and afterward replace them with your NiceHash Pools. Do not ‘add’ the NiceHash pools as new pools, they will show DEAD, but replace the existing pools by the NiceHash pools.

You can find more information on our ASIC mining guide: https://www.nicehash.com/asic-mining#other-asic

------------------

By the way, we have launched an official NiceHash Discord server where you can join our community of miners and talk to our staff among other things. Discord is a free voice and text chat app and works on both your desktop and phone. Create an account on https://discordapp.com/ and join our server: https://discord.gg/daWvrXk

We do not have direct experience with your miners. We suggest you use a common ASIC settings.

Not sure if you misunderstood the question or just decided to not answer it.

When will Nicehash support Bitmain's Antminer A3 to be used for Siacoin mining?

From your response I'm assuming you meant to say, "Never."

I tried it before and it didn't work for me either.  I mentioned it in my ticket to NH and then they responded with their "No Innosilicon" response.

I'm using older version 1.8.1.6 but CPU mining became very slow so I found out that I need newer version (1.9.0.1). When I open the new version, it freezes before I can start mining. Is this a common problem and how can I fix it? Older version is still working for me, GPU is working ok, but CPU is making $0.02 per day.

First of all, respect to you NiceHash for at least doing something about the stolen/lost BTC. It was clearly your fault to keep all the coins in an online wallet.
Although, for anyone hit in december 2017 breach the 100% BTC reimbursement will be around 40% in USD value in relation to the value in December 2017. I have no idea what will be BTC value when the reimbursement will end but its unlikely to come back to the levels of 20k this year.
So basically in terms of value you managed to give back to the people around 15% of what they have lost.

Keep it in mind guys that asset trading is all about the timing, so try to keep up the reimbursement pace and DO NOT split it in 5% piecies to make it last 2 years, even 10% is going slowly. Inform people ahead of what are you planning to do. Its the only way to build trust after what happened in dec 2017.
