What is a Snapshot

A snapshot is a record of the blockchain in a particular instance. We use the balances of each individual account to allocate shares or coins in any other blockchain. The Snapshot also provides information on how long people have been holding shares in their respective wallets. Shares on exchanges are another matter altogether.

What will it be used for?

The NRS snapshot is going to be used in two immediate plans, namely

1) NoirLotto
2) NoirMerge

What is NoirLotto?

NoirLotto is the groups shot at trying a crypto-based Lotto, an official ANN will be made later with all details. (For those who know the baics of the project , some of the specs have changed.)

NoirMerge is basically a merger of our two chains NRB and NRS. By using snapshots , we can allocate each individual their respective share in the new dominant chain the reflects our dedication to a unified approach to our business plan. The splitting of time between projects has caused a slow down in actually completed work and a lot of unrest amongst users.

This is how it will work.

There are ~ 2.5 million NRS and ~ 2.2 million NRB.

On the day of the snapshot, we will also record the market prices which we will then use to calculate what allocation each individual will get.

For example at current rates  1 NRS = ~ 9 NRB

This means that a simple 1 - 9 conversion will leave us with a total supply of  ~ 2.72 million shares. AT current rates this means that NRS will represent 90% of the chain with NRB at 10%. this however is subject to the prices on the actual date and time of the snapshot. should the prices drop or rise, we could see wholly different figures.

The new chain will simply be called Noir. ( i have no better idea at the moment)

Why the merge?

More Development time allocation
Less time wasted of planning for two platforms
More unified drive (noone gets left behind)

I will try to translate this for Mario, my German is not perfect though, but hope to get close enough to his intentions, if not please correct me :

Many mistakes have been made and mistakes are still made now. The trust for this is near to zero. Who will become a new COO or if I will be able to vote for him, is not important for me at this moment. Like I already said, the trust is near to zero, it can only improve from this point on.
I want to give you some advise for the road that should be followed, if you are really concerned with NRS and will see the DAC as number one priority, and maybe will have our trust again. You can take my advise or leave it. It will not become worse than it already is. Possibly you also want to earn some money at the side, and will things take 1 or 2 years, that is also ok, but have the guts to tell us then.

I think our new COO is very involved, and hope he will also make his announcements become reality. I understand when someone gets sick and cannot do his work for that reason, or maybe other good reasons. But it is not ok to let deadlines come and go without giving any announcements about what is happening. More even if it is concerning financial balances. COO's are being paid, so they have to keep their deadlines. Or in worst case: cancel the deadline with a very good explanation. To remain silent about that, is unprofessional and people will start to loose trust.

Things have to be done in this order:
1. Questions of investors of NRS must be answered quick, naturally and always, even if they were questioned more than once. That is the most important thing. Everyone must be able to understand what is happening.

I apologize for the impromptu appointment, however , the situation with the group required i take action to keep us afloat and alive. Funny how the one who pointed this out is the former COO who I appointed. Our new COO on the other hand has been a far better candidate and we owe him a lot. One of the devs who helps out when he can, does so at the COO's request, apart from him Chocobo is also actively recruiting talent to help start work on the other projects which have started to accumulate dust on the table.

His appointment was an executive decision i made that is already producing fruit. We have a workable order of business and he does well managing stuff when i am too busy writing/copying/adapting code. Let the results of his work speak for him, in the same way lajz99's work (or lack thereof) spoke for him.

Thanks for translating Frigga! I will be checking this thread often and answering all questions. If I miss a question just let me know in a PM. There will definitely be more structure to our releases and work from here on out. I will be redoing the NRS OP, reddit, and any other source of info. Things will look better and be simpler. I am against buying back shares with company money, that feels too much like liquidating and giving up. These were investments, they carry risk, but my job is to get you a good return on that investment. Do you mean the NRS from the mining op? I will also be taking a look at the premine and GF accounting from the last 6 months or so and make sure everything is ok, and post a summary here.

Noir+ is the software product of the cumulative ideas that we wanted in a DAC. this includes secure messaging (NoirTalk) lottery (NoirLotto) and the social component (NoirSpace).

Some investors have indicated that they would prefer that NRS remain as it is, an I instead market this as a separate product and allot shares to NRS holders and GF shareholders. Either is fine with me, but it just provides convenience as a developer in that if it is built on top of NRS, i'll have only one codebase to deal with.

Currently I am the only developer aboard this ship so it means i need to manage my time effectively in order to do anything of substance.
