So whats the PND and PANDA story ? I can buy only with litecoin at mintpal right ?

Apologies for the confusion, but it's part of our coin's unique history and origins. Part of Pandacoin (PND)'s philosophy and core values are to counter scammers and market manipulation, things that give the alt coin market space such a bad name.

Wolong's scamcoin was our target back then and as you can see in regards to market prices and trade volume, they are now defunct and an inactive community with the coin developers disappeared for 3 months.

Whereas Pandacoin (PND) moved on, rebranded and carried on with our initial core values in mind (Honesty, integrity, peace, compassion and peace), and these values are reflected in our 0% premine, 0 IPO, no instamined bs, active dev team, community initiatives like helping out Asiacoin bagholders, charity efforts such as pnd4pnd.com and more.

Pandacoin (PND) has evolved with a community polling on which technology to adopt with the upcoming asics to remain more asic resistant, and we chose, as a community to opt for Proof of Stake over Merged Mining with DOGE. We are currently testing PoS and will be rolling out in 2 weeks. We also have a 450+ mhs (and growing) multipool with less than 99% downtime.

We've spoken with Mintpal, and have been told if we trade consistently at a price that warrants the PND/BTC market opening again, they will do it for us no problems. Once that happens, there should be less confusion over the coins.

We can't help what happened in our coins past, it's part of who we are, but we've embraced it, matured and moved on Smiley

About your second question: Below are the following exchanges that you can buy Pandacoin (PND). We recommend you to either use Mintpal or Swissex exchanges to purchase them.

https://allcrypt.com on BTC, DOGE and LTC markets
https://xnigma.com/markets/view/59
https://swisscex.com/market LTC and DOGE markets
https://mintpal.com/market/PND/LTC
https://swaphole.com BTC and LTC markets

Hope that clarifies things!

经过PND团队与MINTPAL官方沟通,MINTPAL答应,如果PND兑莱特价格保持在1比特聪(约41-42莱特聪)以上,MINTPAL将会重新开放PND/BTC交易。

Pastebin of conversation with Mintpal's representative Jason - http://pastebin.com/1cpg9dF0

tl;dr If Pandacoin (PND) trades above 1 satoshi in terms of litoshis consistently (approx 41-42 litoshi) and have trade volume = Pandacoin (PND) as the first coin to recover from LTC markets back to being traded against BTC at the Mintpal Exchange!

!!! we close to 2 sat ! ! v.good news for pnd/btc @ mintpal!

Ive seen the story oF PAND and only took it like a real coin after the 2nd chapter. I noticed it was at 40 litoshi so I checked back. Im pretty new to cyrptos, im a cnc welder, I work on cars, I dont know much about computers or financials. But I understand the future of crypto. I read forums like a madman and I see hope, promise, innovation and scams. Ive been mining for about a week since ive taken it like a real coin. With the AC givaway and all the promise this bring like doge for a community for the east and everybody.(Im in the US) So ive created an account. to show I think this coin has something now that its not about spite and shows it has an identity.

I wonder a bit why nethash is nearly on the same level than yesterday before the 100% move. Normally dumpminers switch their rigs. good signal not too much dumpers join pnd now.

EDIT : 60 min later it look like us dumpminers woke up and begin to switch their rigs to PND

Ya not many dumpers yet but mulitpools are a bitch. We have to survive that. OH WAIT, POS will solve that.  But this rate multipools will still hit us hard. Im not selling my coins nor are most miners so that should help but like I said im fairly new.

Only 14 days left until dumpminers can do us no harm. Although this could just as easily have been an early adaptor deciding to cash in a little. Ah well nothing to worry about, actually now i kinda hope it goes a little lower so i can get maximum PND before we hit end of the mining era Smiley I'm convinced we'll get steadily above 5 satoshi before too long.

@mke0192: Kind words, couldn't agree more. Nice to see you show support and sign-up.

--

Seeing there haven't been any more free PND request from the AC community. Is it safe to assume there's probably not gonna be anymore?

Is that supposed to be cinical? Anyways thanks for sharing your coins, sure you made some people happy by filling their orders. If you are about making a profit, you had better stuck with PND. Although i get wanting to cash in a little and am happy you were able to make a little profit.

The first Pandacoin (PND) charity initiative have been created by a dedicated and awesome community member! Let's show our support and feel good by donating PNDs to a choice out of 4 different charity organisations!

It is a unique concept in that all donations made now will be held and only released to the chosen charity organisations until June 1st, 2015.

The charity wallet will be on a transparent and public address, managed by the Pandacoin (PND) development team. Read more about it and the chosen charity organisations here: http://pnd4pnd.com/

Pandacoin (PND) official statement regarding future switch from 100% Proof of Work (PoW) to 100% Proof of Stake (PoS).

The Pandacoin (PND) development team are keen to keep up with technological innovations in the alternative currency space in order to remain relevant and have a viable and successful future that is in line with our vision for the coin. We, the developers, as a team often take a collaborative approach to Pandacoin (PND), by interacting and taking feedback from our community on what they want to see for the coin in the near future. As such, we recently held a poll the Pandacoin (PND) community to vote on either switching to PoS from PoW or have Merged Mining with Dogecoins. The poll concluded and the Pandacoin (PND) community has voted in favor of PoS (url of the community poll: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=572462.0).

Well, the Pandacoin (PND) community has spoken and now we are proud to reveal these PoS specifications and a FAQ so that you have something to look forward to! When we switch over to PoS, Pandacoin (PND) would become one of the rare PoS coins with a such lengthy PoW phase of 3 months to fairly distribute the coins towards the community.

Specifications

Proof of Stake (to be implemented)

Symbol: PND
Block time: 1 minute
Difficulty retarget: every block
Nominal stake interest: 2.5% annually
Min transaction fee: 0.1 PND (Fees are paid to stakeholders)
Confirmations: 3, maturity: 720
Min stake age: 72 hours, no max age
P2P port: 22444, RPC port: 22445

Proof of Work (to be phased out after total of approximately 3 months of PoW)

Symbol: PND
Algorithm: Scrypt
Premine: 0%
Max coins: 32,000,000,000 (See FAQ)
Block Rewards: 1 Minute Block Targets, KGW
Reward system: 50,000 per block until we switch over to PoS.

FAQ

When can we expect PoS to be implemented?
Our devs that are currently responsible for making it happen are already at the stage of doing thorough testing, making sure that when we make the switch from PoW to PoS, it would be a smooth transition with no bugs or errors. That being said, the switch from PoW to PoS will happen when we hit our new PoW phase maximum coin cap of 32,000,000,000, which would happen in approximately 15 days (or around 21st of May, 2014).

How long has the PoW phase been running so far?
Pandacoin (PND) had begun their PoW phase since Feb 16, 2014 and has been mined for 78 days as of this post. When we switch over to PoS, we will be one of the rare PoS coins with such a long PoW phase (Approximately 3 months of PoW) to distribute the coins fairly out towards the community.

How many Pandacoins (PND) are currently in existence?
At this time of the post, there are 30,887,898,841 Pandacoins (PND) that have been mined so far with our PoW stage in the last 78 days. You can check it here: http://pandachain.net/chain/PandaCoin/q/totalbc

What will the maximum number of Pandacoins (PND) be?
Not fixed nor limited when we switch over to PoS. The 100,000,000,000 Pandacoin (PND) coin cap from PoW stage would no longer be relevant since we are switching to PoS. We are switching to PoS when 32,000,000,000 Pandacoins (PND) are mined, which marks the end of the approximately 3 months of PoW phase.

How could I start PoS mining when it rolls out?
Once we have finished testing the PoW to PoS conversion and have it implemented, you will have to download our new wallet, have it unlocked and leaving your wallet open with an online connection to start mining!

Do I need to exchange my current Pandacoins (PND) for new ones when we switch to PoS?
No, you keep your existing ones. All you have to do is to download the new wallet, unlock it, keep the wallet open, stay connected to the internet and start mining coins from your wallet!

Can I still mine Pandacoin (PND) directly with my mining rig?
With Pandacoin (PND) switching to a pure PoS coin, you would not be able to mine it directly. Instead, you will mine other alternative cryptocurrencies and exchange them for Pandacoin (PND) through our 450+ mhs multipool. This way, you will be able to still mine Pandacoin (PND) from the multipool, and help increase the value of Pandacoin (PND) at the same time.

Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552464.0

How does the Pandacoin (PND) multipool work?

The Pandacoin (PND) multipool automatically switches between coins to mine based on difficulty and price variations in order to be as profitable as possible for the miners. For payout, the multipool computes the proportional share of each miner over rounds that last four hours. Once a round is complete, and after the mined blocks become mature, the multipool exchanges all coins for Pandacoin (PND). Please note that due to the time required for block maturation, deposits and withdrawals on exchanges, payouts for a round are processed one hour after the end of the next one. The multipool also apply a fee of 1.25%, in addition to the exchange and transactions fees required by the operation

Today's good news pushed the price up on mintpal. What happens when we go through a couple of days on pure POS?

edit:
PS: for the devs, why on coinmarketcap is still old logo?

I disliked the absence of style for the PND blockchain website (pandachain.net), so i made a mintpal like CSS style for it. It's not perfect, but all i could do with little to no selectors available. If anyone else cares to use it here it is. I'm using the Firefox Stylish plugin to customize website stylesheets.

Code:
* { margin: 0; padding: 0; }

html { background: #B5DBCE; font: 14px/18px Roboto, Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;  }
body { width: 1000px; margin: 0 auto; background: #fff; padding: 50px; position: relative; }

h1 { color: #fff; font-weight: normal; font-size: 2em; float: left; margin: -50px; margin-left: 114px; width: 786px; margin-bottom: 50px; padding: 10px 50px; background: #353535; line-height: 60px;}
h1 img { position: absolute; vertical-align: bottom; margin-right: 20px; left: 50px; }

a { color: #008B5D; }
p a { padding: 4px; display: inline-block; }
p { text-align: center; clear: both; }

ul { margin: 20px 0; }

table tr:nth-child(2n) td {  background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F9F9F9; }
