They announced it's basically dead, as they are merging bitshares-x, bitshares-vote, and bitshares-dns into a single unified bitshares thing (the snapshot for which was a couple weeks ago, and included some fraction of pts). I think they said keep your pts as future projects will still use pts for snapshotting, but I guess people read the writing on the wall that this was basically the end of meaningful snapshots. I'm still holding like 50 PTS 

Got my daemon synced up using the bootstrap provided on the thread, after giving up on the start/stop method, so if you want to leave a tip:
