Unless they have small/no capital.  Then they rely on other's withdraw fee for returns to pile up ?

A fee of 1.75% is a bit low. I'd charge 50% for something like this.

I like bitscalper, but also keep in mind that they charge 1.75% from the complete withdrawal, not only the profit portion.

So, let's assume there is 10,000 BTC deposited in total. They don't need to have that sum at any given moment, this is only the sum of all deposits made, on and off. That would mean they already made 175 BTC just from deposits. They don't actually risk your money, and assuming they are trusted, at one point they might reach, say, 60K total, which makes them 1000 BTC from only withdrawals. Not saying it's a bad thing, but investors need to keep in mind that they could lose some little percentage if they don't put this in their calculations.

THIS!!! ^ and do not need to trade!

Not bad... get investors..  have matthew create a panic - everybody pulls out - they take their 1.75%
things calm down- people reinvest... and start from the beginning Smiley

Lol. Possible. However judging by the amount of PMs he tries to send me everyday telling me that he wants me to stop posting about bitscalper I can't believe your theory.  Cool

... This is not a Ponzi scheme and time will prove it.

How can time do that?
To prove something usually is an operative process.
The concepts of time I know are just passing passiv.

In case I missed a point, when will time have this task accomplished?
How about reopening your business then?
You could save a lot of time avoid thess arguings.

I think that a run of years and some documentation of the transactions that are giving rise to profits might actually to some degree prove it is not a ponzi scheme...

Well I got out my 150 BTC with a profit of 7 BTC (10 - 3 for withdrawal)
Can't complain about a free $50  Grin

still making money too, either the site is bugged and the guy's losing money or some sort of ponzi thing is still going on

Please send back the coins or we will terminate your account. this kind of activity is not tolerated. this is a beta, not a cash cow for you to exploit.
Address to send back the coins : 145rhGP2X5x5bwszqhDgHAnkt55yc7fBAj

hahah. Go home scammer.

translation: the "bug" is a ruse to get more people to deposit their monies.

As for now, the scammer is YOU, who exploited a bug for a couple coins. Bravo, well done.

More examples. Just look back in the thread. You are a tool.

This is the final reason why I will not be depositing any of my coins with bitscalper ever.

You have a bug in your dodgy ponzi code and so you demand people to send you the coins back? I'm surprised you processed the cashouts in the first place without auditing them.

Incredibly unprofessional.

I have not received any earnings since 30.01.2012. Back then the total earnings were 535 BTC, now they are at 589 BTC.

Did you guys did or did not have earnings since?

Jan 30 ~ 0.1878
Jan 31 ~ nothing - no line entry at all

Maybe their scalper is offline.
It is after all, a beta.

Yeah guys it is probably the fact that all the fools that deposited already did deposit and no new fools have been sucked in to keep your "profits" going.

If I were you I would pull out ASAP ( faster than if I was in danger of an unwanted pregnancy ) ! LOL.

The fact that no one is making any money now that people are pulling out should tell you all that this was just a ponzi in the first place.

Mission Accomplished.

Sorry guys, it was a bug with our new system. Profits increased actually, the bug was keeping them to show up in your accounts. This is now fixed. Apologizes sincerely.

Could you increase the 5% cap to compensate us for the loss, or does this mean that you get to keep the 'lost' coins.

Bad news for everyone who still has money in BS. Now is the time where its not only leads that BS is a scam, but now its fact:

Two days no earnings for people, but the number on the frontpage increases hourly. Then:
Sorry guys, it was a bug with our new system. Profits increased actually, the bug was keeping them to show up in your accounts. This is now fixed. Apologizes sincerely.

Fact:
30.01.2012: 535.4289 BTC scalped
02.02.2012: 618.0377 BTC scalped

Thats a 15.43% increase in those four days.

My account rose:
30.01.2012: 3.5227 BTC
02.02.2012: 3.5545 BTC

Thats a 0.90% increase in the same time.

This is not totally impossible. The only reason for this could be that a lot of people invested in the meantime.
It would work out like this (with a few more days to see the trend):

25.01.2012: 1651.07 BTC
26.01.2012: 1748.83 BTC
28.01.2012: 1908.02 BTC
29.01.2012: 2860.15 BTC
30.01.2012: 5335.84 BTC
02.02.2012: 9151.13 BTC

Thats the total invested sum, calculated under the assumption that everyone earns the same percentage and the number on the frontpage is real.
Before 25.01.2012 it slowly climbed just the way like 25.01. - 28.01., I can provide numbers from 10.01.2012 on if asked.

So the only reason for the numbers would be that invested money skyrocketed last days. Like exponentially rising, after weeks of constant, reasonable, linear increase.

[The invested sum]
Now considerably diminished after matthew diffused panic, the fund topped at 4k bitcoin on some days.
Uhuhm..

[..] there are just a few  hundreds bitcoin in the fund now.
Uhuhm..

So for me its now proven that the first phase of this ponzi is over, the "collect money phase".
I ordered a withdrawal of the remaining 3.5 BTC this morning (thats the sum I "earned", I withdrew my initial fundings much earlier, without a problem)

[..]Withdrawals are processing correctly.
The withdrawal request is around six hours old. Nada yet.
Oh, wait, I *just* saw the payment in blockexplorer. So at least they still pay out, at least some (small?) orders.

[..] and we will be exiting the beta soon.

I bet you will, BS, I bet you will.

Pleased to meet you, Trent! :-)

Those days where people where making no profit, my account was making about 3% a day.

With how much BTC invested, approx?
The earned % seems to correlate directly to the invested sum.
