BTCprice is currently being suppressed, over the past few weeks we've seen dumps and rallies, manipulation to keep the price low.
I have no doubt whatsoever that the rigs bought in this group buy will still be hashing even a year or so after they are received. BTCprice will react in the long term to the current trends and I know one thing for sure, long term -it ain't going down the way!

That may be true but the problem is that it takes more BTC to buy a one of these rigs now.

can't possibly comment, i never use BTC to make BTC. all my BTC is produced by investing fiat.

I think what he's saying is that you could have bought BTC instead. I've seen some group buys that were profitable if you calculate the fiat value at the time the miners were bought, then calculate the income at the time the bitcoins were mined.

In any case, I'd still like one of these just because they are so cool.

So far Im very impressed with the SP-Tech staff.
Guy helped me out on his day off to get my order in before
the BTC I bought at $500 dropped any further.  Lost some
$$$ in the buy but such is life.

RoadStress helped me out too when I was .2 or .3 BTC short
and fronted me the difference since CoinBase wouldnt sell me
anymore instantly.  I really appreciate that man so I could get
the order in right away.

Im extremely impressed with all the SP10 stories.  I honestly cant
wait to get ahold of them in May.

Im about to make threats to BFL even though my order is less than
6 months to get a refund.  I wish Id have found more threads about
them before I ordered the Monarch pre-order.   SIGH

Yes, I got fully refunded.

But what I meant is that I could have invested those $39k somewhere else (3 Neptunes in total).
I lost those 4 months with my money being locked at Knc's farm.

I really want to jump on this train but I can't bring myself to do it..

I can only imagine in the lead up there may be a lull in the difficulty jumps but as soon as it all starts coming online there are going to be huge jumps in difficulty

It looks like such a great price now with great power usage but I can't help but feel I'll have buyers remorse
As I think it would only be exacerbated by me being a small miner (as I could only afford 2 at this point).. as someone that could afford a lot more would be able to take better advantage of it

Unless someone can convince me otherwise ( I almost implore you to ) I just can't do it!

after having my SP10 delivered (best rig i ever owned), and unable to buy into this group buy due to a delayed refund from another manufacturer, if I was in your position, i'd be loading up and pulling the trigger without a breath of hesitation. but hey, that's just me.

Most of the people that joined this GB got 1 or 2 units. Also the next difficulty jump will be around 15% and last difficulty jump was 14%. Also i have a feeling that you won't see this price sometime soon.(can't promise you this though) What's more worse for you? Having a buyers remorse for not buying anything or having a buyers remorse for not buying more units?
