I am the developer for devcoin and I createdthis site it is backed by the devcoin community. It is funded by devcoin for profits back to devcoin. It is not too good to be true. There is a reserve of about 1% of the retail price so that the site doesnt lose its shirt. Some customer will be very lucky if they get in at the end and win.

Is there some sort of SAFE and reputable escrow service provided by your site?
For example, they have to provide proof of the order transfer by SP-Tech before their
funds are released to them?  That seems the safest method to me for something of a
high dollar value between parties who dont personally know each other.

That might be something I'll consider in the future to build trust, but I imagined the site to be like any other site that builds trust through time and usership.. as more people begin to use it the more trust collectively they will have. I would have to work escrow into the logistics side of things so as of now you know you can pay via paypal too so you have some kind of backout incase you don't get what you pay for.

Did you read how it works page? Its a bidding fee auction system http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bidding_fee_auction

Bids are refunded if the reserve is not met (around 1% of thr retail price)..

I do have an option where you can use Buy Now skipping the whole bidding system but then you would be paying retail price anyway so it only makes sense where I can get a high volume discount(smaller things) for a Buy Now to work. That would give ability to function as a regular checkout type site aswell as auction site. I will have this later as it gets busier.

No it wasnt a ripoff until they allowed bots and then had their own bots bid prices up.

Its profitable for the site yes. But usually they dont go that high.. and one person doesnt bid that much. If you do and still lose it will be part of the risk of landing a great deal. Most of the time you will end up paying less than retail while the site is still profitable. Thats a win win.

Each bid is less than $1 not $2.50. Later I will have a buy it now anyway so that if you bid and dont win you can still buy at retail cost and get your bids back. So where is the ripoff? Quibids and their bots were its demise.

I never read much here AT ALL before I bought from them.
I saw they shipped stuff already so how long could it take them right?
So, I admit, I didnt know ENOUGH about them to have ordered from them.
I should have read more here like I have since I saw that contest.
Honestly, that contest led me to read more here on BTCTalk.
I found out about FTC complaint, Wood Law lawsuit, other good info.
SO, in the end, BFL turned me on to the truth with it, so thanks for that.
This dude holds a grudge till he dies and obviously doesnt ahve fun with life,
just let things go that arent a bid deal, or ever just be a cool dude.  I have
nothing against him and see why he was targeted here after seeing all his old
posts.

YUP!!! My SP10s just cleared customs.
Hopefully delivered today but probably tomorrow
since DHL is slower to deliver the last 2 hour drive
here than they are the distance from Isreal to Tokyo
with previous delivers just coming from China.
NO clue how that works.
They shipped a small box from HongKong to Tokyo in 8 hours.
It took two more days to get to my house after only spending
2 hours in customs.  NO CLUE how they operate like that when
you pay that kind of money for EXPRESS shipping.

Seems to be no peace. The false trust ratings on my name still persist that he posted and he still keeps posting new ones each day. Not happy with this hypocrite. Solution is for him to remove the negative posts against me Dogie and Theymos as well as removing the POSITIVE posts for BFL he leaves each day. I will simply keep calling him out on him being a hypocrite whenever it is relevant to do so. He has NO ETHICS and continues negative posts each day. Sad man he is just sad.
