if our password is encrypted how will you know what account to send it to?

Simple put:

When I create the genesisblock, then I will include your hash into that block. Then you can download the software and enter your passphrase, you will find your coins there. It is called brainwallet and is exactely like NXT!
so this software has the ability to read sha-256 encryption? if that were so, why dont people use it to figure out the password anyways?
software is not decoding your password.
When you enter your passphrase, it calculates the sha-256 encrypted value and is checked against the hardcoded list set during the genesis block creation.
this was a great way to explain it. thanks a lot!
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

How would you guys feel about prolonging the deadline a bit? I just came back to a ton of messages complaining about blockchain.info and how it will not be possible to send today because they need to go now...

Why does shit like this happen last minute? ..... Sad

Point being: I don't want to have people complain later, that it was unfair distribution, because they were not able to invest in time.

I am not having any problem with blockchain.info and I think launch should go as planned .

I would keep the deadline as it is ... however allow an extra 24 hours for people to confirm tx/hash.
Any transactions after the deadline are forfeited!

People should not leave things to the last minute, IPO deadline should not be extended IMO.

I think it would be better not to. it will anger far more people opening for a few days longer just for people who have been waiting till the very end to invest to see the maximum amount of money they can get from an investment.

Agreed! It's the risk you take if you choose to wait until the last minute.

I have about 100 messages to go through, and there is 1 coming every few minutes. I don't think I can do this before the deadline. Is that bad?

Because I get this asked every fifth message:

If you invest with NXT I will give you the rate of 0.000075 BTC per NXT.

I don't want to calculate new every few minutes, I know its volatile right now.
