Hey guys i have a little problem i need some help with i had to download the wallet again because something
happen to my computer but now i am 98.78% synced with my old wallet.dat file in place but i see no old addresses
transactions etc what can i do to get this to show up? thanks in advance.

Edit: Also note when i try to delete the new wallet.dat file and start the wallet back up it shows back up
so i have 2 wallet.dat files in the dmd folder.
Check the properties of the dat files:size and date,
Remove the newest one, keep the oldest,
don't delete just yet.move to the desktop.
Close the wallet first.
You can't have two wallet.dat files in the diamond folder..
Restart the wallet.

Hi ok i moved the new .dat file to my desktop and i have my back up .dat file in place problem is when i restart the wallet
another new .dat file is there with my old one? Huh i am thing maybe i am using the wallet that keeps an updated blockchain?

use -rescan and -reindex

I get this message with both "Method not found (code -32601)"

When you first start your wallet and the wallet.dat file is missing in it, a new file wallet.dat, in the diamond folder (without coins) is automatically created.
If you want to put the old file wallet.dat in place of the new one, then you need to close your wallet and delete the new created file wallet.dat.
After that, in its place you need to put your old file wallet.dat in the diamond folder and only then, again start the wallet.

Be sure that your wallet starts empty without errors (remove all unnecessary files or even blockchain if required).
Use the installer https://mega.nz/#!lQBTwCgJ!kZOWTcFCACwoeeANrq9jUhXpbm_rT6pGyz2FFVOIQss and save your blockchain not on drive C, but on a USB flash drive or removable disk, selecting your path at startup.
Remember that you should have at least 3 gigabytes of free space!

When you see that everything has worked and your new empty wallet starts without errors.
Then close it and replace the new (empty) wallet.dat file with your old wallet.dat file with the coins.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

-rescan is s startup parameter not a console command
if u test all ur postential wallet.dat with coins inside with that startup command u should find which one hold ur coins

additional once wallet is sync u can run in console the repairwallet command

slow and steady towards v3.

Pretty excited to see the new Wallet and Masternodes at work tbh.
Not that far away anymore.
The other Pump was a nice teaser for things to come.

We have all repeatedly checked the -rescan and -reindex functions and they are working.
I specifically described for you a method that does not require the creation of additional shortcuts and the use of the console.
Just a normal replacement of files.
In 99% of cases for beginners, by replacing files, you can solve this question without any problems.
The main thing is that when replacing files, your wallet was off.

Get them while U can.
U need a diamond to cut a diamond..
😎

and with POW gone soon
that is 100% true for DMD Diamond too

u need DMD to create DMD

I will tell you, why I have bought DMD.

Its not the price, which is interesting. Its the community and the ppl, who are in. These ppl here are hardworking for the real world acceptance since months and years. Only very few coins survived that with so much power and energy. The ppl  behind DMD, like Alex, cryptonit and crazyivan are reachable for me. If I have a question here, immediately few guys jump in and answer me wise.

DMD is increasing with the real world demand. In the first years,  no one knew cryptocurrencies as general, but DMD is also hardworking for the education. Now, the demand for cryptocurrencies are increasing exponentially and the DMD also is increasing. What a dream.

I love it to see these very very important fundamentals are given. The rest? The money? This is always a healthy following by the hard working ppl.
So, I dont care the prices, this will incoming automated. Here, I have always the knowledge, that even in the darkest hour, the Team will always staying here and stand me by.

Check the syntax of the old  dat file.
should be    wallet.dat   no spaces,
if its creating a new dat file,, its not recognizing the orig wallet.dat

Shveicar method should work flawlessly for you, providing the nameing convention is correct of the wallet.dat with coins..

It is the correct .dat file but i had saved it as dmd2.dat does it make a difference
if its not wallet.dat? but anyhow i had made a few backup's on some thumb drives
so when the new wallet is released i will download the blockchain from the beginning
with the old wallet in place. Smiley

Your old - backup file (before changing to a new one) must necessarily have the name wallet and the .dat extension.
Otherwise, you will not be able to make a replacement because every time the wallet checks for the file wallet.dat and in case of its absence creates it again (empty without coins)

Shveicar - Very impressed with you patience and
persistence in helping Nubbins with his
wallet problem. I kept thinking you can't have
2 files - same name  (wallet.dat) in the same folder.

Often it is a matter of understanding what someone
is trying to say. You went the extra mile. You are a
part of what makes this a great community.

Its often a misunderstanding in New Technologies to neglect "educating" interested people and make the entrypoint for them easier.
I can absolutely confirm that from many involved projects too.
A very important piece of puzzle for the success or a fail of a section like a coin, is not only made by the technology behind.

No, its maintaining the community and educate them.

Sometimes, it seems expensive and time intensity for the teammembers but the following sustainability, what a new well informed communitymember will bring in, its worth it.

Thank you all for the good reviews.
It's just worth remembering that some names and file extensions are important.
Outside the wallet, you can assign any names and extensions to your backups, but when you try to restore your coins from file, it must have an absolutely exact value and this is wallet.dat

I will add this item to the list of questions and answers for the page

Does diamond do masternode shares?

Yes, we will have 35% POS and 65% Masternode

1 Masternode (10.000 DMD) will bring to its owner ~ 9 DMD daily income.
All this is described in White Paper https://bit.diamonds/DMD_WP_1.0.pdf
