is Diamond
(DMD) early enough to solo mine with 3 gpu's and still be profitable? or would it be better to pool mine? any suggestions

please everyone who mines at danbi or miningfield pool
be aware both pools closed doors u have a few more days to withdraw ur coins!

next few days some desperate solo mining freaks might battle against each other
for the last few hundred DMD mined

but basically the age of POW is over for DMD soon

dont mine at 13th september DMDv2 snapshot day
any coins not mature pre  snapshot wont exist in DMDv3 and not be tradeable on bittrex or any other exchange

age of DMD POW/POS is ending................

...... age of DMD POS/Masternode is beginning soon!

check our whitepaper

When lottery this 10k dmd prize begin?

we switched the producer of silvercoins
to reach the desired quality
once we have proper prototypes to show
we will start sell unclaimed coins again
once a proper ammount is sold
we start to produce the silvercoins and do the lottery for the 10000 DMD

im sorry for the delay but at the moment my whole energy is focused on DMDv3 release
im sure we can manage finalize the DMD Diamond 4th anniversary silvercoin project pre xmas

i just wonder what increadible value the lottery price of 10000 DMD will then represent!

ok, so after september 12th it will no longer be able to mining DMD coins ever?

also does anyone know what miner should i use for dmd? and how do i set it up as im using claymore at moment for ether and have never mined with anything but claymore.

on the dmd page it says those are the instructions assuming yo8u have your miner set up but not exacvly sure what that pre-requisite entails

That's right mining is out..gone.. done ..forever..
Why bother at this point..
with Diamond mining..
Think about it...
transitioning to TOTAL POS, Proof of stake.. in a few days..
If you don't have Diamonds to Stake,.. your shit outta luck.
Its 135000 satoshis +/- 5000 satoshis these days.Wink
250,000 is close at hand...
Your wasting time to mine..
Buy now, swap now, what ever you need to do.
but mining is out..

What is the problem?
You can safely continue to mining other coins through Multipool and automatically convert them to DMD  Smiley

But if you like exactly the groestl algorithm, then you can mine groestlcoin and sell them by converting income to DMD.
Anyway, such POW coins do not bring income for the owner and there is no sense in keeping them.

It's been a while since I last posted in here but I always come and check the latest updates and developments. I'm really looking forward to the new wallet when it is released in over a week from now. I have been slowly building up my stack of DMD as I did want at least 250 DMD before the new V3 but I will fall just short but it's all good as I will continue to keep buying more DMD when I can. The price is holding steady and soon I can see DMD at $10+ in the short term.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

At the moment, you can mining DMD used POW mining only in solo mode.
But only if you have decent mining powers.
In the rest, this mining is unprofitable and easier to use a Multipool

Repair wallet doesn't do anything except give a "TRUE" result.

Over 100dmd coins unconfirmed in the last week or so. I don't think my connection is the problem and it says 123 connections to the network. Is that enough?

What GPUs u have ? Im mining solo since March. Someday u get nearly zero coins and on some day u get about 10. You get a constant rate on a pool. If u can live with it, no problem Wink
with 3x 1080ti u get about 180Mhash at 70% tdp. Average of 2 coins a day.

But difficulty is now really high. So much solo miners outta here ? Cheesy
Difficulty is now 420k. Last week was about 340k  Shocked

the unconfirmed one did just try again
one of the following POS income was in fact exact from the same coins
where the former try did fail

the unconfirmed try will stay unconfirmed forever thats normal

thats why i said u lost nothing

100 connections is good

Quote
When an orphan block occurs via proof of stake mining, it is because another block of  staked at the same time and the blockchain accepted the other block's stake rather than your stake. The PoS transaction in the QT client will show 0 confirmations, and only exists in your own client and is not recorded to the blockchain. If you get an orphan, simply keep your wallet as is and your DMDv2 coin pile will remain in the pool of blocks competing for stake, you did not lose any coin age that has accumulated. Furthermore the way DMDv2 are designed, the higher the coin age the more staking bonus you will get. So in the case of an orphaned PoS block, you will not "lose" anything because you will be compensated for the extra time the block took to mature. (example if u find successful block a day later the reward will be a bit higher)

above quote is true for DMDv2

in DMDv3 orphans will be lot less often because we have a more moderate average block time that create less orphans
in DMDv3 the concept of coin age affecting reward no longer exist and block reward will be always static

interesting how close of pools didnt reduce mining difficulty
there lot people who wana mine up to the last second just for the chance get some 0.2 DMD more

im overwhelmed by the attention DMD did get even before DMDv3 release

impressive

Still not sure I understand. I have 388dmd right now. With 3 unconfirmed transactions of 33dmd in total. So my balance should go up by 33dmd at some point!? Because out of all my minted transactions I would say about 90% are unconfirmed and I've never noticed my balance go up afterwards

I think that among your 388 minted DMD reward has already entered compensation from these 33 orphans blocks.
But you can make a more accurate calculation proceeding from the current (still valid) rate of 25% per annum.

Hi, can you help with linux?

I followed the instructions on your github, built diamondd, and have the following issues:

1. when running ./diamondd , nothing is printed to the console whatsoever.
2. When running with -debug and -printtoconsole, I see nothing but ERROR: checkproofofwork failed and proof-of-stake failed

I used the .conf provided (including nodes)

is my executable file broken, or is it syncing to a failed chain?

edit: it appears it might be syncing now, but how can I interact with the console to tell?  I tried running a separate ./diamond attach but it says that's not supported - how do I interact with the console for things like checking balance and sending coins? (is there a GUI wallet for linux ?)
