Is there a minimum balance for POS staking?

Thanks.

I don't believe so as I have already earn my first stake with just over 300 coins. I will say this I think it's best to split my coins up into smaller blocks of say 100 coin blocks because I didn't know it will take 641 confirmations before my coins can stake again. So if I have 3 x 100 blocks I can still stake while the other block matures as right now I'm still waiting on my first stake to confirm with still over 200 confirmations to go.

I like to get the dev's answer or anyone else here is it okay with 100 coin blocks? or is that too small for DMD?

use this consolecommand

setstakesplitthreshold 100

Quote
{
"split stake threshold set to " : 100,
    "saved to wallet.dat " : "true"
}

this way u have coin piles between 100-200 dmd size automatic

if bigger they split if smaller they merge after some time (5 days)

replace 100 with whatever is ur desired number the coin pile in ur wallet will always over time struckture to be in the range if 1x to 2x that value

Thank you cryptonit!

I didn't know DMD had this feature as most POS coins don't have this feature. This saves me time splitting the blocks manually so thank you. So 100 coin blocks should be fine staking DMD? I thought maybe 100 DMD coin blocks would be too small to stake?

just adapt each week and check the average value here:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/#!extraction

as u can see 100 is still around average but we will see how network envolve
i expect 200 be better value in a week or two

Okay thanks! I will try and keep up with the network weight just like I do with all the POS coins I stake. My plan is to have 2 500 DMD blocks in the near future as I continue to stack more Diamonds.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

ok guys bug report.

If you have an error when trying to start a masternode 'invalid ip address' it is bug in DMD wallet.

Goto debug console and issue command masternode start-missing

this 100% fixed it for me.

When trying to find the cause of the problem I moved this wallet to 5 different computers (windows xp, 7, 8, 10, server 2012) on 3 different networks and repeated the bug everytime.

Hopefully this will help out some other.

This is strange, since I had no problems with running MN on Windows 7

Agree. I ran testnet on same pc with zero problems.

Spent 2 hours with danbi debugging (even tried his masternodes) and same.

Just glad to have found the bug.

I had invalid IP message when I tried to start missing when my control node machine did not have tor running and my masternodes were .onion nodes.

Installing tor on my control-node machine fixed that. Evidently the control nodes needs to be able to talk to the masternodes it controls, which for .onion masternodes means using tor.

Your wallet has spent the entire supply of coins for POS minting.
Now you will bet again when the found blocks reach 640 confirmations

Yes, regarding immature coins, it works like this.

When you transferred your coins to V3, you probably transferred them in a single address and pile. Now, in a new wallet, you staked once, you received some reward (remember our rewards re 99% for the next few days until the entire community switched to a new wallet). Now, since your coins staked, they have 640 block maturity period until they re mature again to stake.

This will fix itself since your coin piles will be splitting into two, then four, etc. as you stake so everything should be fine in a few days and you do not need to do anything.

Hello! Is cloudy mining closed?  Embarrassed

It is not closed, just payouts have been paused since Bittrex DMD wallet was offline for a few days due to them switching to V3 Diamond. You ll get your payments very soon, nothing is lost. We re honest people and nobody has ever been scammed with DMD and nobody will ever get scammed.

I got a huge question..
At block 2366375 snapshot in V2 total outstanding Diamonds is 2,278,447.

At block 2696 in V3 total outstanding Diamonds is 2,428,563.

2,428,563 - 2,278,447 = 150,116

How does  150,116 diamonds get minted in
2696 V3 blocks with Rewards decreased by 99 percent??? Shocked

V3 Reward 99 percent reduction..
2696 x .0234852 = 63.3160992

Someone wanna explain this?Huh

please check the whitepaper
https://bit.diamonds/DMD_WP_1.0.pdf

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/tx.dws?706.htm

this are the 5 foundation masternodes and the 10 legendary10
it is locked coins since block 1000 this means they cant be moved or spend
we call them ghost coins
they exist only for one purpose to act as a masternode colloteral
but the coins themself cant be send or spend

this is anounced since the whitepaper was released

keep in mind we did remove the 10% masternode reward tax
that many masternode coins like dash or pivx have

instead we used 5 foundation masternodes which have to run and support the network to claim this funds
we use for promotion marketing bounties and dev support

and the legendary10 that where the people that bassically supported the development of DMDv3
at a time where DMD was still small they did put put trust and many bitcoins into this project

all this is visible clear readable in the code
https://github.com/DMDcoin/Diamond/blob/master/src/reactorlist.h

I m glad our great DMD community tests our honesty, but as you can see, nothing s been hidden and there re no coins going directly to developers or DMD team. We re holders, just like you, and we work for free cause we love this coin and this community. As you can see, there is a clear explanation for this difference in the whitepaper which has been available to the public for over a month. The most important thing is coins filling these nodes CANNOT be spent and their sole purpose is to fund nodes so we can provide funding for marketing and community projects. No tax on masternodes as many other coins have.

As I have already stated several times, we re all honest people here and DMD s got impeccable trust and reputation. We intend to keep it that way.
Still, a very good question Mr1k. Smiley
