I did include the payment id.
Mintpal says successful:

My poloniex account still hasn't receive the 1xmr I sent.
Deposit address: 47sghzufGhJJDQEbScMCwVBimTuq6L5JiRixD8VeGbpjCTA12noXmi4ZyBZLc99e66NtnKff34fHsGR oyZk3ES1s1V4QVcB

I checked 57e90967b8579140d91074bb6ca64e6f0d3e6a11e822a575a91c884e6972876d at http://monerochain.info/
and I see "Amount (XMR)   9.990000000000".. Is that my XMR account balance? I never sent anything yet except for the 1xmr I sent a while ago

The blockchain won't show the real amount sent, because of the privacy XMR provide.

So this "Amount (XMR)   9.990000000000" is just some random number?
What is this payment ID? Is it like a bitcoin address? The Deposit address doesn't seem uniquely assigned to me...

^Yes. Currently the exchanges generate a Payment ID to distinguish your deposit from someone else deposit and all the funds from all the users are deposited to a single stealth address.

Edit: It's in the FAQ: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=686086.0

Ok thanks.

The pending deposit already appeared on poloniex... It took almost 2hrs to appear there and it's still pending...
Seems like they require 18 confirmations..
How do I check how many confirmations it already has from http://monerochain.info/?

Need your opinion, community members... I've just thought about kickstarter,

https://www.kickstarter.com/

Is their politics compatible with Monero goals particulary and crypto-currencies in general?
...
after this one:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/324283889/potato-salad?ref=nav_search

(since kickstarter's politics had been changed indeed, that's why potato salad became possible at kickstarter)

what about Monero @ kickstarter?

There is 1 block a minute so theoretically 18 mins, as I said up thread it has alot to do with inside Polo not the XMR protocol.

Thus far we have received well under 1 BTC in donations, a trivial amount. That means that all of our time and energy and effort is completely self-funded.

I think Risto should delve into his huge BTC fortune - seeing as he was one of the first Hero Members to publically back Monero, i find it worrying that he has not made a donation.

First of all singling one person out is completely unfair just because they are a public figure and you know their general fortune means nothing, everyone should donate a little something to the devs, I have done so now that I know funds are required but I expect to see more work in general for it if funds are being given.

Its not worrying really, the last couple of days has been the first time I personally have seen the dev team saying that donations/dev funds are a barrier to getting stuff done in a timely manner so its not surprising that generally people haven't donated. Dont ask you dont get and all that. Lets not forget that we raised over 11btc to get on mintpal so topping up the dev fund should be an easy group effort. I would also advise that donations be made in BTC.

This one?

So 124074 - 123971 + 1 = 104 confirmations?

I wonder why poloniex still says it's just 10.

Putting a crypto on kickstarter seems like a good idea, lots of exposure to people who have lots of time/money to spend and wouldn't necessarily know anything about crypto to begin with so this would be their first exposure.  It'd be good publicity depending on rewards offered, like what kind of reward levels and prizes?  I don't see why a crypto wouldn't be compatible with their politics if it's spun right.

You should ask them on this one. Maybe their daemon is stuck and they need to restart it or something else. Try in the trolbox or send them a ticket.

Isn't it Odd, that 5 accounts post relatively 3-6 minutes apart, each with relatively the same amount of activity(20-30), each quoting the other account's obvious Lie, and then proposing their own Lie?

That strikes me as odd...oh wait, they're sockpuppet accounts owned by one person. DUH -smacks head-

DARKOTA knows all about having multiple accounts! he is a loser troll.

Ignore DARKOTA he is a troll who PUMPS and DUMPS - Look at his original thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=658541.100

Then look here:

 https://bitcointa.lk/threads/litecoin-is-officially-dead.331214/page-5

Troll on indeed:

http://coinmap.org/
www.uselitecoin.com

This thread is starting to show the true TROLL: I have been PM'ing everyone in this thread, some have even joined the Litecoin Talk forum because of this troll so i actually think its ok his lies - everyone is being PM'd this:

'Litecoin is dead'

Look at the original thread - he has deleted more than 100 posts from people supporting Litecoin, he is a troll who pumps and dumps

LOL. Who is the troll here ?

A quick look at your post history tells me YOU are the troll !

Why are you attacking Darkota ? Because he thinks Litecoin is dead ?
Maybe you have other reasons, if so I'd be happy to hear them.

Work is progressing quite rapidly on a funding system where everyone will be able to fund specific features / tasks. The main reason for donations at present is to enable us and some of the other devs to allocate much larger blocks of time to Monero on an ongoing basis until that system is ready to go:)
