That's the line they're using while Big Fat Vern is on the run ATM. Sounds like every other excuse from every other exchange. Good thing pretty much everyone here has known not to trust that place, well at least everyone has been warned every time it has been mentioned. Just type Crapsty in the search and check out all the warnings. Scam thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.0;topicseenPretty retarded how they are reporting how they located him, as if he doesn't read that thread. Real Amateur hour going on. He'll probably walk.

I guess if you're gonna do it, now's the time to do it, since after hardfork it will be a bit more costly with minimum mixin enforced.

It could also be a lot more activity now that bittrex and poloniex are working again. I see a lot of mixins. Looks like a lot of mining dust. Could be a bonnet operator trying to move funds, or in general a miner. Whoever it is, they might be spreading out their transactions to stay within the block size limits, or they've made their own script to help counter the time correlation identifier information ( if I understand that Mrl report)

Not unexpected, This coin is a serious threat so it is a prime target especially during a update with an upcoming hard fork. These attacks should have come as no surprise whatsoever. And I'm sure various scenarios were checked out on testnet during that long testing period. although it would not be conducive to the security of the network to release exactly what was tested for for obvious reasons.

no, these are not withdrawls.
-they use mixing 5 -most are very small/have more or less same size
could be pool payouts but i dont think so too.
maybe they found another exploit and prepare an attack now.

Btw, fluffypony posted this link yesterday in #monero. It contains the links to all previous binaries (including really old versions). This is very convenient for people that have some issues with old wallets. http://fpaste.org/311755/45305232/@medusa13, average size seems to be around 20 KB, which is pretty normal. Also, amount of transactions per block is relatively low. Bear in mind that during the first malicious fork, the block contained over 500 transactions.

Added: W00ps, I forgot I need to add a pull request for this.

They're all around the median, looks to me like someone is moving funds on a wallet with LOTS of inputs, and transfer_split has split it up over many transactions. FWIW a few months back I sent someone 100k XMR on testnet from my testnet mining wallet, and that was split over something crazy like 130 transactions.

There isn't one - we were reorganising the contents of the download server, so it was in a bit of flux. We'll add a list of old versions to the site in the coming weeks.

Why it is not possible to withdraw xmr from bittrex.com? XMR can be exchanged to BTC and BTC can be withdrawn but XMR can not be directly withdrawn. Why?
Sorry if this is not right thread for this question.
Did you ask bittrex? I have no idea how quick their support is. It was working yesterday. I have seen this happen before on bittrex with Monero as well as other coins. It usually lasts less than a day. Ok. Thanks. I have not yet asked of bittrex what is the problem. I also can remember these issues with bittrex. This is why I hold most of my coins in my own wallet. I think I will now take every coin out off bittrex. Ok. Today XMR withdrawals were possible. It's ~2^64 actually, but the problem with Coinwarz is that they used a comma instead of a dot after 18,446,744. Well that is a lot of coins. I do know that after all the 18 million coins are mined, there is about 1% annual emission to secure the profitable mining after that. But ~2^64 coins is new for me. Anyway, could someone do a comparison of XMR/DASH and post it here? There is an other thread on bitcointalk of this issue, but it does not look very active.

A comparison of XMR/DASH? Well... that is new to me. Why you think that there is something like this?

Not 2^64 coins. 2^64 atomic units, where each unit is 0.000000000001 XMR. That comes to 18m+ coins, which is the base supply.

This compares the anonymity of both -> http://blog.makemoneywhileyouwork.com/2016/01/11/using-alt-coins-to-mix-bitcoins/I don't think there is a detailed comparison of other features/fundamentals currently. Thanks smooth for correcting me btw.

Just posting to follow this thread, great to see that there is so much discussion going on (I was actually only aware of the Monero Speculation thread, did not still expect activity in the Announcements section).

Confidential transactions in bitcoin, as a soft fork:
One of the credible devs disputed whether it can really be done with a soft fork, though I'm skeptical that it couldn't. I don't remember whether it was on that list or somewhere else. Anyway, I'll believe it when I see it. Bitcoin is mired in debate over every little thing. EDIT: CT also does not keep metadata private. That is very important. How much you donated to Terribly Racist Slighly-Left-Wing Party Inc. is irrelevant, the fact that your donation can be traced back to you by your boss, your government, your friends, your coworkers, is a Pretty Big Dealtm --fluffypony
