I tried to install a Monero wallet and it doesn't work. The "SIMPLE WALLET" was the most complicated wallet I have ever tried to install. If I have to get on a forum to figure out how to install a wallet then I would call that a FAIL. Good luck with this. Nice price spike. Hope it lasts.

You could also just ask for help. It's called simplewallet for a reason, there is not much to it really. Huh

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

What the fuck triggered this surge?

The darknet market adds monero payment, it means the usage of monero will be increasing significantly. Therefore the price is surging

Yes.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Here is it. Random shi in random order though not that Im saying this looks unpromising and futile, but a naked eye can see it a mile away that there is a clear pump & dump bias brewing right there, with loads of btc and fake volume built on fake support and bots. Fuck I see a nice spot for my shorts

Thanks for the help. I found the tx id's of the 3 transactions and indeed the first two can be found via http://moneroblocks.info/ and the last one cannot. When I run rescan_spent though and subsequently run show_transfers the transaction is still there though.

BTW: I'm still 1149 blocks behind. Can that be a problem?

Possibly your tx was invalid and got rejected by other daemons. Had you sent a tx from the same address, but using another machine, within those 1149 blocks ? If so, you probably unknowingly double spent.

In any case, if you use a recent enough wallet, you should see that last tx as "pending" in show_transfers. If it indeed hasn't propagated to the network, you can "flush_txpool" in the daemon, and the wallet will soon notice it and switch it to "failed". There is a bug (fixed in the rct branch) which will need you to run "rescan_spent" after that in order to get the right balance.

But first, wait for the chain to be synced.

I send 2 transactions that succeeded and then a third that I'm asking about because it's not in the blockchain, within those 1149 blocks, but all from the same machine.

I'm using version 9.4.0 and I indeed see all 3 transactions as pending. I will try the commands after it is done syncing. I'm glad the chance of my Monero actually being lost seems to be extremely low Smiley

Synced and the other 2 transactions are finalized now and the faulty transaction is still pending. rescan_spent did not fix it so I'm now rescanning the entire blockchain (which is taking a while).

Rescanning the entire blockchain fixed this. Thanks for the help dEBRUYNE and MoneroMooo.

To avoid this in the future I shouldn't send transactions with an unsynced blockchain?

You may have gotten the name of the release wrong.  Wolftangent?

Thanks for doing this.

Hi,
I have some problems with a mymonero wallet.
To see my transactions I have to send 10XMR to a certain account with a certain command.
Sending from an exchange I nowhere see the option to put in the command. So, I just transferred the 10XMR using the address and TXid.
But as I was afraid of nothing happening.
Can someone tell me how to get this fixed and be able to send 10XMR with right command?
Thanks for helping

It sounds like you are trying to import a wallet created in simplewallet to use in MyMonero, is that correct? That is why Mymonero is asking for the import fee.

I've never done it myself but I don't think you send funds anywhere, it just will deduct 10 XMR from the balance of the wallet you are trying to import.

Hi,

I just started a mymonero wallet. I did deposit 10 XMR and then found out, I had to send 10xmr to;

44LbNqbmRCmEPxZYmwKw2hbga37svZsHPQ6hLAK4mtApPoWrbpTBiKo6jW452raUXW3M7qUq7yztuch sNYgwYj8S5KQKK43

using this command; 10 1d5b8dbf8846d7aaa5d63ed729df87a2746f92d474848956b653585d2f2e2dfd

I made this transfer from an xmr account at an exchange, but wasn't able to put the command ( not option for commands).

After some time I saw, that my first initial deposit arrived 10xmr-0,2 xmr and this amount of 9,8 was substracted again.

So, I thought everything fine now.

But then I tried another deposit and that one didn't go through, so I made another 10 xmr transfer to;

44LbNqbmRCmEPxZYmwKw2hbga37svZsHPQ6hLAK4mtApPoWrbpTBiKo6jW452raUXW3M7qUq7yztuch sNYgwYj8S5KQKK43

I tried a couple transactions, but some things are strange. For instance the withdrawel with TXID;

4e8060e3e6530d661177dd8f83266ee8ab4c468b904264543778bfa42b727c4d  with

payment id; 7b80759215ecce65ac7e97c9b3328258fd9b37c7674a3c278d3476604e1f8f3d

Here I withdraw 5 XMR and on the address I send I indeed recieved 5 XMR, but in mymonero it says;

I withdraw 20 XMR.

What's happening here?

What the fuck triggered this surge?
Lots of speculation pumping price after few large darknet sites announces they will be accepting monero from september. September ride may be amazing one rather than current bull run, price may stabalizes but this is very good acheivement for monero.
