Just opened new pool (0% fee)

https://www2.coinmine.pl/xmr/
Primary Node: xmr.coinmine.pl:5555

feeleep

Guys - we found 9 blocks today (I know its not many but it was with great luck). Put part of your hashes on my pool to help us more!

Could you make merged mining with FCN?

I find the wallet syncing not only to take a ridiculous amount of time downloading less than 80 megs for 24h~ worth of blochain updates, but it makes the interent connection unusable, and with unusable - I mean exactly that, it strugles to load a simple google front page. What exactly is going on when it needs 45 mins + to download less than 80 megs, that is some serious skill to get it to complely hog up my 2mbit connection, yet not actually utilizing the available download bandwidth to actually DL the block chain in a reasonable amount of time.

You can download latest blockchain files here http://monero.cc/downloads/index.html then sync missing blocks quickly.

Is there a fundamental problem in Monero system and pool implementation on minergate.com ?
In last 20h all blocks found there have rewards between 0.3 and 2.5XMR
This is absurd to be claimed for "bad luck"
Take a look https://minergate.com/pool-stats/mro

Minergate is screwing themselves and you by running obsolete code. Switch to a better pool.

I've tried to run Monero binaries on my mac, it turned out that my Mac need to install additional library. Is there anyway to make OSX version easier to use as Windows version, just download the binaries and run ?
Code:
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libboost_system-mt.dylib
  Referenced from: /Users/XXXX/Desktop/monero.mac.x64.latest/./simplewallet
  Reason: image not found

You can compile it on Mavericks without pain using my homebrew recipes, check out http://github.com/sammy007/homebrew-cryptonight

I know i can fix it but the point is Mac OS binaries should be easier for use, no additional software or compiling needed.

If you pay me the 10 grand, I will remove the 0.2% fee from the Mac wallet on http://mropool.org (direct link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/cnywy3xsncfgcfq/Monero%20Wallet-0.2.zip).

You can send it to (XMR): 49Y69CBLmKxd51cKiCcVewe4VUo17zUnWEEyNAgjoUTSepgdgjYMevMa4dY9qHVzMmVWCbhx2Z8CQao 1xS1bWJRKDssysgD

Thanks  Grin

haha! Tell me about it man! Last night I was having a libboost_filesystem 1.55 nightmare spiced up with icu package version conflict just because someone thinks it's "more convenient" to have a linux binary instead of a source code on simplewallet. Simple my ass...

Please would someone put source code of simple wallet out there ...

The simplewallet is actually in the Github repo (https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero). Just make the whole thing (if possible add the -j 8 or how many cores your CPU has). The simplewallet will be somewhat hidden, but it should be at build/release/src/simplewallet.

The Wallet I was mentioning was the Mac OS X 10.9 GUI Wallet:

Anyone know what is going on with monero.crypto-pool.fr

I have been hashing there with 1.3Khash for a few days.  For the last ~24 hours I have received only ~0.2 XMR total to my wallet.

I would argue that my 2 XMR bid was altruistic compared to your 250 XMR bid...I'm like a modern-day Ghandi, but with more curves (of the ECDSA kind, of course)  Grin

Meh... Altruistic in that you were essentially sponsoring a "pizza giveaway", but really, my wallet mind was set on the initiative standing for a "monero giveaway".  Embarrassed
I'll be happy to pay you a pizza just for the entertainment that I get here, but I confess that I'd be happiest if the pizza auction had earned me the winning ticket to the 'let's spread some monero around' initiative!  Wink

On to more important matters: I hear there's an (open source) GUI wallet coming soon?
Cheers,

At this time I can neither confirm nor deny that any work is being done one a GUI wallet.

Just kidding, it is a work-in-progress, but we're a ways off from anything usable and solid:)

I compiled the current git version (0.8.8.1) under Ubuntu 13.10.
Unfortunately the deterministic wallets are not available.
What's wrong?
