I'd rather not have Jackpotcoin added to Coinwarz... it just seems to attract pump and dumpers when it's most profitable which doesn't create a healthy community around the coin.

Right now I'd say the community is pretty good, I'd hate to see this coin turned into a mine-for-an-hour-then-dump coin.

Almost becoming impossible for me to make profits mining JPC anymore Sad seems like it's time to move on, it was a fun ride Wink

What are you mining with? With the new ccminer 1.2 mining JPC with a 750Ti is still a pretty good reward for the Watts I think.

At the moment I'm still stuck with a AMD 7870xt Sapphire and mining on the sph-sgminer I get ~2mh/s or ~4k coin a day

How much did you collect so far?

3 billion coins...I'd say 2.999 billion coin too many.  Is it too late to cut the coin supply?  With the Market cap needed this coin will never see 1000 satoshi let alone to 100 satosh without dumpage. The supply is killing us and the huge jackpot is not helping out either...attracts more miners for quick dump and investors hesitating to put more money in. Can we get some online casino going or some sportsbook up and running? If lotto coin can get a couple online casino running why can't we. Jpc dice quite frankly is just too boring. Burn through a couple thousand in a blink of an eye. Get oddsmaker or sportsbook on board and we'll have ourselves
A winner.

How about a fork with:

Total of 60 000 000 coins (over 5 years - average of 1 000 000 /month halving every 6 months).

No Jackpot, but rather a better stake to encourage keeping coins.  Built-in larger transaction fee (above optional) that decays at 2x rate (so zero at 2.5 years) as coin distribution, again to encourage keeping coins up front (goes to stake).

Same great speed, no premine.  Encourage donations to dev/team.

Call it something without 'coin' in the name, like 'fastcrypto' [FST] and call the algo S5 (stake/x5).

Maybe start it with dev + marketing group + some innovative uses, like the android home-gaming wallet, and some online group games that take advantage of the speed.

Enter with the serious mindset that this coin could be bitcoin's silver, taking the #2 spot.

why would you want to fork a successfull coin? it's not even two month old, and performing great so far.

Well, not to disparage this coin, since I did very well with it, but I'd love to see this f'n awesome algo (sans jackpot) used in a more general way, so definitely keep this young coin but perhaps make another to compliment it.

As much as JPC rocks, I honestly take issue with the both the name and number of coins: The name is great for a niche market, and the number of coins seems to be hindering the rise in value.

...just a suggestion - it's beyond my abilities.

there's something to be said about winning 70 MILLION coins as opposed to winning 70 coins...  The high coin supply is in-line with the name and general theme of the coin.  Not all coins need to have 7 coins total in order to be successful.

continue to build the gambling eco-system that this coin was built for...

Unfortunately, M31 is right.. niche market coins do not last , this one has lasted longer than I anticipated, too bad, the algo is great, it just needs to be turned into something more .

Have you seen the number of people listing their daily coin mining and dropping the price 10% every day for the last two weeks?

What do you mean you want to avoid it? It blows right now, but that is exactly what this coin has been since it hit 80 sat.

Need the number of people dumping their 100k jpc to go away so it dries up the market... we are now heading below the previous plateau that was the all time high... which is good for people still looking to buy, but until the majority are back to buy-and-hold status or there is some serious buying pressure from gambling/retail sales I don't see this turning around soon.

People need to be in the coin for what it can do, not what it made them yesterday.

When a coin price start to decrease then lots of discussion go on. I see that on vtc thread, drk thread and utc thread it was near epic and I did not look but same thing should going on cryopto thread. My saying is this no coin is come here to make you rich exclusively. You can become bag holder n one day rich or you can not. Just spend a coin as it is coin. Jackpot has one of good feature and that is gambling. There will be always one buyer and to all who think its jackpot duty to make them rich well rude news is its not. So give it a rest and go on with your life.

With that volume and increasing amount of money we can`t see a bigger price. Only if we hit a bigger exchange like Mintpal and someone decide to make a pump , then we will reach 50-60 , but it will be for day or too. Sadly i didnot sold mine when it was 80 , now i will try to play some gambling hahaha.

Crap coins are best for that...  Good coins that break some new ground deserve better, and you take it personally when people argue against dumping it?

I took a bath on this coin dumping more than 10 mil at 2sat, but that doesn't mean it isn't still a good coin. I still have millions and I don't ever plan on making any serious money off this coin...  that boat sailed. Smiley

And gamblers don't bet in .0000004 increments that much... in a couple more weeks to two months the amount you can mine and stake will not be any amount reasonable to bet with and reap any rewards.

The price will rise, because demand will outstrip supply, you just have to be patient.

Past performance is not always an indicator of future performance, but when the coin rose to 28, and then back down to 11 for more than a week was that the end of the coin as well?

Those holding a coin that passes out 80 million new coins at a time aren't doing it to get rich (well maybe a few).

These two statements seem to conflict with one another.

Care to clarify ?

I am against of dumping. Its not the way with the coin. But in crypto world where no regulation there and no support for coins its inevitable. In my understanding what should be a coin's first purpose is it to be exchangeable for any material as paper currency does. But I don't see it. I don't see it for 99% coin. crypto is volatile as no regulatory here but still community should try to make campaign for making it acceptable for various service(not listed in exchange). But what all want is USD. People will mine crypto, write about crypto but still go back to USD. But if there is service that start to take digital coins then this trend will decrease. I am a web developer and listed my business in VTC semi official list. I get job for my team from real world and neck deep on it but not one mail from crypto world. So tell me how digital coin will advance? I am bit fed up on when price decrease shit start. Everybody suggest things, also lot of name calling. This spread more fear. So I would suggest chill out. No need to fear. If u have lots of BTC you can easily manipulate market(recent pump n dump style. very good example is "CryptCoin"). If u not have that then dump it and stay away safe.

The massive sell walls are so silly.  Especially at 10 sats above current market price.  They'll only sell when the price begins to rise again and likely for much less than listing them near the next price peak.  Not to mention you're missing out on all that sweet minting.  Hell, I only have 16 million JPC, and I minted 15.8k yesterday (that's all the confirms, no orphans in that number).  I only have a 750ti and a 660 ti to mine with so that puts me at about 10mh/s.  That made me 21k yesterday.  I just bought more JPC today too.  Given how much more power efficient minting is, I have no idea why more people aren't doing it.  You only need to hold coins for 24 hours on this coin before they start earning stake weight.

Hi
How to see the stake weight or possible know I am minting. I am trying with 200000. If see it is minting will increase. But not sure if I am doing right. In next 5-6 hour my 24 hour timeline will be complete. I read that there is no surety that I will receive coin in 24 hour(some need weeks) but that is okay. I would just want to be sure that my wallet is minting.
Thanks

If your wallet has a password, it must be unlocked to stake. As long as you're connected to the network and your wallet isn't out of sync, it's all automatic. Some blocks will be orphans (not confirmed) some will be good. I've heard CPU power comes into effect with PoS, but I'm also mining on this computer and it only has a single core celeron, so anyone should be fine hardware wise.

Good luck!
