I say just wait it out.  We'll get on there whenever it happens. Let people keep dumping because likely they are the ones that would dump 10m as soon as it hits mintpal without caring if there are buyers for it....which won't give much confidence to people who haven't used or invested in JPC before.

The Zimstake or Aiden coins seem like crap, so I guess with enough time we will get to #1 eventually.

he is doing something really wrong for that wattage, 1500w for mining jackpot coin, is behind idiocy

you should be around 150w

I think his rig is running with 4 Ati R9 290s and they will be sucking up the power, so am not surprised if he is using a 1500W PSU for those.

Each card hashes at around 3Mh/s each I think, going on other info I have seen in this forum.

Just my thoughts, anyway.

Yes, you are right.... 4 290s.  2 1000w power supplies, plus MB.

Don't mine JPC with this, stick to X11 or X13 coins. Supercoin looks good. Wink

I agree with this. We've also given mintpal enough. Just keep buying JPC if you want to help the coin. Buy each time it dips low. Those numbers look healthier for the coin than mintpal votes honestly.

have 77mh/s. Want to solo mining. Any advice?

Solo mining is basically mining to your wallet.  Look on the first page for how to set up the jackpot.conf file.  I'd suggest setting your rpcallowip to 127.0.0.1 if you're mining on the same machine as wallet, or 192.168.1.* if you trust your lan security and will be using multiple rigs.  make sure you have a proper user and password too, I've heard of people losing their funds due to poor security on their wallet with rcp.  Also, it's not worth solo mining, even with 77mh at this point.  Join a pool with low fees.  https://www.minep.it/pool/jpc/ has a great ui, great performance, and 0.75% fee.

Hi
I try solo mining for sometime but it seems gtx 780 has other thing in its mind. Speed just drop. I am now mining at www.minep.it. The return is good so far or I say in same like dwarf pool but what worries me the luck of this pool. I am really confused of this pool. In one hand the luck it is getting is terrible. See the last 5 block finding stat:

295,601    KaevurMati            6/24 3:04:05 AM    1132.60% (65,799,332)
294,707    liomojo                    6/23 11:41:48 PM    498.98% (25,118,000)
294,388    crazybean                    6/23 10:24:11 PM    15.98% (657,616)
294,383    liomojo                    6/23 10:22:49 PM    136.35% (5,544,968)
294,312    23430502DDS33    6/23 10:05:52 PM    1020.30% (53,366,016)

Only one block under 100% and most strange thing is I am getting same reward what I can get from other pool or specially dwarf pool.

Thanks

Hi,

I just released an optimized version of sgminer for jackpotcoin for 14.6 amd drivers.

It was tested on my R9-290x at 1050MHz.

The hashrate is 5.97MHash/s
with the standard jackpotcoin miner, the speed was 3.5MHash/s on 13.12 drivers and 4.1MHash.s on 14.6.

So it is an increase between 50% and 100% depending on the drivers you currently use.

This is still lower than nvidia hashrate (however here it is running on all the hashes... so this is at that level still a work in progress

The source can be found here: https://github.com/djm34/sgminer-jpc
windows binaries here: https://mega.co.nz/#!0d9xjagT!H-K3q-XcyHIGEPcPQOKPcW7sdvh8cAaAmHqNRP09zBg

To use the algo: sgminer --kernel jpc -o pool -u password

Mining @dwarfpool gave me ~10% more coins in compare to other pools.

Is it just luck, or are there any other factors?

How the hell are you using 1500W for 12MH/s?!  Shocked

GeForce GTX750Ti uses about 50W and returns 5-6MH/s. My 15MH/s is using about 200-250W including peripherals, cpu, motherboard, etc. Lets say 250W that's 1kWh/4hr = 6kWh/day. I pay the same $0.1/kWh as you in NJ, so it's costing me $0.60 in power per day and generating about 25k JPC/day which @ 25sats is about $3.75, so I'm at least $3/day up.

I'd say the hardware you are mining with is what's making it unprofitable, not the fact that it's JPC. I'm not sure *any* coin is going to return a profit for 12MH/1500W.

What kind of hash rate do these cards get with Keccak coin mining, MAXCoin and 365?

I get 1.5GH with my 4 290s.

Change your command line from --kernel jackpotcoin to --kernel jpc and get something between 3.5mh/s to 4.2mh/s instead Cheesy

...and also get the 14.6 drivers like djm34 suggests as well!

Nice job again  Wink
I went from 2.4Mhash to 4.3Mhash on a 280x and still using 13.12 drivers.
Just copied AMD_ocl and AMD_opencl files from 14.6 to the miners directory and everything works perfectly.

may-be people will stop dumping like crazy once the difficulty is higher (that's up to them to make it profitable...)

Man, I'm not an idiot, I've changed the kernel. It's only R9 280X not 290X About drivers version: I'll check it tommorow djm34, cause my rig is quite far apart from my home. Any app sdk you'd like to suggest? My rig works at intensity of 17, with almost 1,5-2,5% rejects and no HW. In a few moments I'll check your miner with my notebook card and will post the stats XD

No support of 14.6 AMD drivers in Vista Sad
With 13.4 looks like 5xxx and 6xxx series performs even slower with new miner...so update will effect only 7xxx and R5/R7/R9 cards.
