Why is the bottom falling out? I would have thought we would have found a bottom around 18? Are there any plans for something new to simulate this great coin?

It looks like a couple big wallets on rich list may have been the ones selling so much lately, but there are still quite a few bigger holders of JPC, so I'm guessing it's part of their plan.  It's a risk, but I'm holding regardless.  I like the features, interest, etc and I'm hoping more and more people will recognize the same things.

I wouldn't look at the last couple days of any coin as a true indicator.  For some reason it seems like the holiday in the states chopped a lot of volume from most coins and it hasn't recovered yet.  Volume should recover on Monday or Tuesday and then we will hopefully get back to business as usual.  The only coin I monitor that is doing well happens to be the coin I just sold a bunch of last week...XC.  Figures.

I agree 100% i was going to say something similar here.
Price will come back some..

I'm holding and bought a bit cheap..

I fell asleep somewhere in the middle of this thread. It's been a long holiday weekend! I'm holding JPC, is the consensus that the price is going to recover?  Undecided

I moved my miners to wafflepool x11.

No longer is mining JPC worth it.

Same difficulty when price was 0.000000045

Makes no sense if you ask me

Hi,

I just released an optimized version of sgminer for jackpotcoin for 14.6 amd drivers.

It was tested on my R9-290x at 1050MHz.

The hashrate is 5.97MHash/s
with the standard jackpotcoin miner, the speed was 3.5MHash/s on 13.12 drivers and 4.1MHash.s on 14.6.

So it is an increase between 50% and 100% depending on the drivers you currently use.

This is still lower than nvidia hashrate (however here it is running on all the hashes... so this is at that level still a work in progress

The source can be found here: https://github.com/djm34/sgminer-jpc
windows binaries here: https://mega.co.nz/#!0d9xjagT!H-K3q-XcyHIGEPcPQOKPcW7sdvh8cAaAmHqNRP09zBg

To use the algo: sgminer --kernel jpc -o pool -u password

Donation are welcomed to support development effort (and since you will be getting more coins) and they can be sent at these addresses:

JPC: JWdVcJZdmdTdFEM1acumNQjrnrx3J7mdec
BTC: 1NENYmxwZGHsKFmyjTc5WferTn5VTFb7Ze

A bounty from jackpotcoin dev would be good too  Grin
No idea if it was discussed but on older radeons this version gives lower hashrates

There's only 8 BTC on buy orders at all exchanges. Most miners keep the coin instead of dumping it and take the advantage of staking it. I even see that the "top" is buying at this low price.

I see 16 BTC buy orders on mintpal and bittrex alone.  What is more important is the lower price gets people to panic sell, so I'm hoping it goes down even more.  The order depth is looking better and better the longer we stay at a lower price.  I hope the price scares more people into selling so they will remove their large sell orders and sell them for cheap.

Hmm... when you've said "older" i thought about some HD79.. not about 290x Cheesy There's Gotta be sthg wrong, maybe with your config. Can you share it with us?
Cause with no O/C my MSI R9 280X gets like 4,3Mh/s (I-18, tc-8192), so you should get even higher.

agreed i am not just saying it either i have scrapped together what little BTC i had to buy with low prices.

Same, although some might worry with the dropping price and network hash, I personally feel the coin has room to expand now that is isn't being dumped constantly by daily miners.  Nothing against them, if I had thousands of dollars into bigger rigs, I'd be more worried about ROI too given the general volatility of crypto currency, but I don't expect this is going to be dead yet.  The dev had an announcement of details to come sometime soon(ish?) and there are quite a few on the richlist with enough volume that I don't see them likely to be the types that end up being a bag holder.  Generally speaking those that make money know what they're doing.

What command line/config are you using?
Keep in mind, that --kernel jackpotcoin  uses old, not optimized kernel (better for 5/6xxx cards) and --kernel jpc uses optimized kernel for R7/9 cards.
