Urgently need its own forum.
After this time of btt down, some coins need own forum to discuss and develop.
I can create one Smiley

Yes I am also thinking that INDEPENDENCE of Bitcointalk would be a good thing!

It also will give the node community much more focus. Getting off Bitcointalk is a big step for cryptocurrencies!
In Bitcointalk, a coin is always just another 'altcoin' among scams, Pump&Dumpers and Tittycon dealers.

Getting an own forum is much more mature! On the other hand, it is not quite so easy, and many 'altcoins' fail when they try to do that.

Nxt did a good job, but it was/is hard work that requires a lot of participation by ALL involved parties, devs as well as early adopters.

How about getting a child board on nxtforum.org?

Nxt'ers are much more civilized than than alctoiners on Bitcointalk, and since node started out as NxtLite with PoS, they may be very supportive.

Remember that Jean-Luc said he respected node for doing their own implementation of the basic Nxt ideas- could be worth a try...

The good thing on BTT is that we already have a member system with known fudders and other status marks that makes it easier to "see" whom you are answering. On a new plattform most of the people would be the same at the beginning.

It's true, the forum has long been created, but we we still can't get around to move there. I think soon we moved the main activity there.

This is also partly true, so all BitcoinTalk members will be able keep its BTT nicknames and get a special status on Node Forum.

We respect NXT because it's our inspirers, - they were the first who decided to tackle Bitcoin's weaknesses essentially 'cause such issues are treated only by surgery, therapy does not work here.
Therefore, we will surely open a board on nxt forum at least a tribute to pioneers Smiley but first we need to deal with our own forum.

NODE Rewards

The NODE Giveaway is now closed, the NODE Rewards is now started.

I will start rewarding private nodes 75 NODE per day that they are kept on.

sava0123 has written a script that will keep track of how long each node is running.

From the 120,000 NODE giveaway, 102,500 were left for the NODE Rewards program.

I will be adding an extra 150,000 NODE to the fund so it will not run out quickly.

The total funds for NODE Rewards will be 252,500 NODE at the moment.

I will be excluding the nodes who have gamed the system from the program.

Rules:

Nodes will be rewarded based on how long they are kept running, the minimum for qualification is 3 days running continuously.

Rewards will be sent out weekly, preferably every Sunday.

I will post who have earned rewards in this thread and how much.

The reward size may be subject to change depending on how many more nodes are turned on and the price of NODE at the moment.

If anyone would like to donate to the fund, PM me and I will send you the address to donate to.

Special thanks to sava0123  for helping out with this project.

What about the Slack - https://slack.com/? SuperNET is using it and I think it works quite well.

Hey NODE what's happening? Any progress? Not to be an ass but do share some indication of progress or activity with the people that are waiting in anticipation of this grand breakthrough.

  • Last & Only Blog Post 5 Months ago http://blog.nodecoin.com/

Just curious.
More communication needed from devs. Webiste,Twitter,Facebook should be updated on daily bases.

Hey TheRealSilk, I hope you understand what I'm getting at. You might know all the exciting things that are happening and progress that is being made in regards to NODE but as far as the outside world is concerned silence equals nothing is happening and dead links are killers, its better to delete or hide all the fancy buttons for the features to come instead of people interested clicking them only to come to the conclusion 80% + doesn't work, next thought that comes into mind with those interested people would probably be.. if they can't get a website in order how can they develop a ground breaking transaction network? Do tell me when you think I'm wrong and completely out of line.

You are right, not all follow the theme. We will try to update all the pages (Reddit, Facebook). That would begin informational support Node we need a stable product.

At the moment we are working:

- Testing Node on the test network and the improvement of the algorithm
- NodePay system for accepting payments on the website (deadline _ February)
- Mobile application for Android and Iphone

We have focused on these products for further successful promotion.

The whole community knows that we keep our word. We always do our work just in time

Hmm I would suggest you remove the deadline date until you are absolutely sure it will be by then. People will start speculating and trade on this date like crazy. In case something goes wrong and you will need one more week to work on it , they will drive you insane.

Lets admit it. Most of people asking here primarily want to know the news before others so they can beat them at the exchange  : )

How to enter in testnode?
The Linux client not countains the file clientConfig.example.js

Use your ip:20000 in browser, enter password manualy and close page without loggin out. It will open your account for forging.
But the IP does not work, what should I do step by step after downloading?

https://github.com/nodepay/Docs/blob/master/Instructions.md

Steps 1,2,3 and 8,9,10.

Then wait until blockchain download. (You can check it's status through nodemoney.com:2000 after entering any password and go to peers view. it might take some time before you ip will show up there, it will have status "check" which means that blockchain is currently downloading and then "synced' which means you can now acces to your ip:20000)
Works now, THX!!

More a question: I can run test and livenet client in the same computer?

How to enter in testnode?
The Linux client not countains the file clientConfig.example.js

Use your ip:20000 in browser, enter password manualy and close page without loggin out. It will open your account for forging.
But the IP does not work, what should I do step by step after downloading?
