Looks like people's imaginations have been running a little wild.
To clear a few things up:
1.) I have not been active in the thread because I am on vacation.
2.) The book will be sold for US Dollars at major retailers i.e. Barnes and Nobles and Amazon
3.) I have retained the rights to sell the book for digital currency; I am currently working to get a Tier 1 payment processor on board before the book release in November.
4.) I am currently buying NAUT on Mintpal at 13k
I am very serious about NAUT and committed to making it successful.
I don't have the time or the inclination to read all the craziness - if you are unhappy with NAUT please move on to the 400 other coins that are available.

This is all ppl needed, Communication Wins!! thanks BK =) This guy made a pump and dump coin that dumped all the way down to ~11k with a non-stabilization fund and somehow feels qualified to write a book about crypto currencies? Do something credible first. Book will do nothing for NAUT but keep the creator tied up with things that will not add value appreciation, and has handed the coin off to WOLONG. Next stop 1k before heading into the abyss. |

Let's just migrate the thread to reddit and let their excellent moderators take control.
I'd be up for that for sure. Anyone else onboard for abandoning bitcointalk and going over to reddit? it would be much more organized and much easier to get a real perspective on what's going on. This bitcointalk thread has quickly become a mess. |

I'd like to make a few recommendations to help breath new life back into this coin.
The coin has been languishing value wise for some now in spite of efforts to rejuvinate it through MMA Fights etc.
I was an early adopter of this coin and loved what is was all about.
I'd like to make two recommendations.
First: Because of Digishield and the rediculous high difficulty that the coin is now strapped with - no one is mining it and this come at a time where more and more people are getting bigger and bigger hash and mining is at an all time high - no one is mining this coin and that's sad with over 70% of all available coins yet to be mined.
My first recommendation is to hard fork the coin and drop Digishiield and in it's place use KGW which has a track working of working well to handle bump in mining activiry and it recovers fast.
My second recommendation is to change the coin to that it's merge minable like SYS, DOGE, LTC, POT, 42 and several others.
I think these two changes would breath life back into a coin that has a big following yet in spite of your best efforts has been unable to give the coin any real traction.
My humble .02

From everything I'm hearing PoS is weeks away what is a couple more weeks? We have been waiting 2 months. Besides I would rather NAUT let someone pimp out our naut. I like the fact its hard to mine. Less dump age by those only looking for quick profit. |

I have also been here since launch, I agree digishield has created some problems but sometimes the stuck blocks showed just how important POS is; the price would stabilize because the mining groups moved on to things they could more easily dump. I do appreciate the good relationship between digi and naut, it's unfair to blame a team who helped BK so much and honestly loads of other coins too because of the issues they have tried to address and fix within digishield. I wouldn't get behind the merged mining idea. Parralax anyone? Even Monocle with loads of potential and being the testing area for Vertcoin is little more than a footnote now. I don't find merged mining as a solution to anything happening with NAUT right now. Deadlines, communication and progress are the issues I see. And not just here, a lot of coins are in a slump. So there is a lot of pressure on to finally deliver. he's allowed to go on holiday though guys. I'm on holiday right now myself  |

BK-- The Bittrex and Cryptsy logos are looking pretty haggard on the new site, and they don't link to anything. This is on Safari and Firefox, not sure about other browsers.

Perfect, looking forward to it. I will buy immediately... NAUT will be THE coin to be published in a book with dynamic POS. Sounds "lots of dollars" to me...  I should get some more NAUT, while it is very cheap... |

I don't see it languishing as bad as people think. It still has yet to breach downward beyond its starting prices (8k) and if it did I would buy more. Plus, I'm still actively developing and supporting and have no intent at changing Nautijobs to another coin. IncreaseMyT is doing some community stuff too (fantasy league). The biggest issue is block times right now, which, as has been discussed, will be resolved with proof of stake. Pushing to different mining algorithms, methods, or anything like that would be, in my opinion, steps backwards considering how much time and effort have gone into proof of stake. |
